I had called my go-to electricians who are apparently too busy right now to answer the phone. I called another friend-recommended electrician who set an appointment and then didn't show. I found Bryant on Yelp and I got an immediate response and then my appointment even got moved up a few days due to a cancellation. What I was nervous about were the few negative reviews and even some of the positives that mention outrageous pricing. Maybe it just depends on the issue but my electrician, Bryan, fixed the issue very quickly, very professionally and at an unbeatable price. He also did a free electrical kind of inspection, checking all of my outlets and switches. It was super easy to set up the appointment, I got emails and texts along the way so planning for the appointment was no problem and my issue was resolved without breaking the bank. For me, it was an ideal transaction. Thank you!

I had a tankless water heater recently installed, and we wanted to make sure everything was done…read moreright, so we asked to get permits pulled. I had to hire my own electrician for the job, so I hired Bryant Electric to run power from the box to the water heater, about 4 feet away. That cost $800. When the inspector came, they told me the electrician needed to pull permits for connecting to the box and that the city charges around $40, so shouldn't be too bad. So I went back to Bryant to pull permits and they wanted $800 to do it. I laughed and hung up. I called other electricians and one told me they charge $100 to pull permits but they wouldn't complete the job for another electrician.

I've used Ben at Taymar Electric as my go-to electrician for years and have always recommended him…read moreto others for being reliable, fair, and professional. Unfortunately, this recent experience completely changed that opinion. I reached out to Ben several months ago about installing a car charger. He originally quoted me a fair price and has always been great to work with, so I followed up recently to move forward. We confirmed the charger details, price, the location, and scheduled a specific date and time, but he never showed up, never called, and never texted. I reached out on the scheduled day about an hour after the scheduled window asking for an updated ETA (since I understand things happen) but got no reply. I called another hour after, no answer. I waited a day and called again to see if we could reschedule, still no response. I left a voicemail and waited another day before trying again. Same result. Eventually, I had a friend call him from their number, and he picked up almost immediately. I sent another text asking for either an update or to let me know if he was no longer available for the project so I could explore other options. Still no response. Called the main number again, nothing. It wasn't until I called his cell, which went unanswered, that I received a vague text apologizing for any "delay this has caused" and saying he'd follow up the next day for my "repair". He never did. It's frustrating because I've trusted Ben with every electrical project in my home for years and always spoke highly of him. This time, though, the lack of communication and accountability really soured that trust. It's unprofessional to ghost a long-time customer and then send a generic, poorly written, excuse message days later. Sadly, I can't confidently recommend him anymore which is disappointing because I genuinely liked working with him.

I also had what I was worried might be some major issues with lights flickering and power surges, also 2 power strips had both gone out at the same time. Chadwick sent one of his senior journeyman over today, yes I couldn't believe it, same day service. The tech quickly installed 2 new fixtures and replaced 2 ceiling fans. He then proceeded to start testing everything and quickly traced it to my main feed panel box, where he decided to call Chadwick, within 15 minutes Chadwick was onsite! to explain what they had found. The neutral wire was loose and there was black signs of arcing at both ends of the out feed. Chadwick could of told me a high cost and informed me he had to pull permits and would be back, instead, he advised I call austin energy and let's see if they will help and repair for free. Austin energy also gets my kudos, those guys came over within the hour and repaired my panel box!!! Thank you Elite electric! I will most definitly call you guys again, great service, fast. Chadwick looked at it and we both looked all over for the transformer and could not find it. I don't think the last guys did either and neither did Chadwick. I was very happy to get that fixed and will hire him to set up the lights for the front of our house. 4/7/2014 Addendum: Due to my previous 5-star rating and good experience with Elite Electric I was going to have Chadwick put in some landscape lighting at our house. I made an appointment after the last visit (and the review above) and he didn't show up, didn't call. That was January. Then I rescheduled, took off work to meet him, time came, no electrician. I texted him and then called him and he called me back and said I was on the schedule, but he had forgotten. I asked if he could still make it out, and he said he would try. He called me two hours later at 5:00 to say no he couldn't after all. I was pretty unhappy and will be going with someone else for my lighting. He is a nice guy and knows what he is doing when he does come out, but the last two experiences are going to have me going somewhere else.
