At the end of the float, Boise River Raft and Tube has a designated rented raft and equipment pick up spot, for easy dropping off of your equipment. It is nice not having to lug around the gear after soaking in the sun for a few hours. They also have a bus shuttle service which takes you back to the top after floating down to the bottom. Service is always great. The workers are friendly and have good knowledge on how to have a safe and fun floating experience. Pro Tip: For those not wanting to ride the bus back to the top and going in a group. Consider parking a vehicle at the bottom, piling into another vehicle, and then driving to the top. After you float down with your group, hop in the car at the bottom and pick up the vehicle at the top. Though the bus ride back to the top isn't anything to be feared and is a great option.

Ginger had to go out of her way to drive down river, beat us there, get into position, and take the pictures. Obviously that's a lot of effort, but the pictures came out great. Hunter, our guide, was just the coolest friendliest guy and made us all feel very welcome. Basically the vibes were just good and friendly and jokes were flying the whole time. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that's physically able to do it.

We've done many rafting trips over the years but this was the first time we've gotten suited up in a farmer john suit, water booties, and long sleeve waterproof shirt to combat the cold water. We have been in snow melt runs before so this was interesting but oh so great to be comfortable on the river. I was never cold and interestingly never too warm despite the layers. Sean follows the raft in a white water kayak to be a safety back up just in case and also snap some cool pics - also a first on a rafting trip and I thought it was awesome. Stephen did a great job navigating our raft and the collective group of us were all skilled enough to ensure we didn't tip over or fall out of the raft (except one person). We just loved it! We did the canyon stretch for 5 class 4 rapids in like 45 minutes. The trip felt like it went fast but it was so fun! Lunch was delicious, allergy sensitive which is always appreciated. It was nice to see this part of Idaho since we usually stay further south west due to where family lives when we visit. It was a treat to be on the rafting trip and catch some hot springs nearby and on the rafting trip. This river stretch includes Pine Flat hot springs but Kirkham is within a couple miles and part of a different run they offer as well. 100% recommend if you are looking for an awesome adventure with great people!

There were 6 boats on our tour - our guide Cole was awesome! Super friendly and knowledgeable dude who's been all over the world rafting and kayaking. The ride started chill, the heat was blazing, and the water cool! The rapids were really fun. We even stopped for a mid ride cliff jump! That was unexpected and completely awesome. Even when I thought we were done with the rapids, there was another! Highly recommend.

Views were stunning, the water was great, and both guides with the group were helpful and friendly. Our group had been rafting a couple of times, so the class 2/3 rapids were fun and very doable. An additional guide was taking pictures on the way, which we were able to pay extra for at the end-- super high quality pics for an affordable price. One thing to note is that the rafting office is a drive from the actual launch spot, so there is a bus ride on the way there as well as the way back. Highly recommend this company; we had so much fun!

Went out for a run down the north fork of the Payette this afternoon, and the trip was stunning…read more Easy drive out there, while getting some knowledge from our guide Jack. Once we arrived we got into the river pretty quickly and headed off. It was scenic, warm, and beautiful. Even saw a duck catch a fish, and a few osprey. Jack did a great job keeping us entertained and safely guiding us through some great rapids. I should mention this is only my second time doing this and the experience was everything I'd hoped for. Lunch at the end was also perfect, a little protein, little starch, and a salad, even dessert! If you get the chance to go out I highly recommend these guys. If they're anything like jack you'll have a great time!

First time at Sage Hen! We got here Friday afternoon at 2, the exact time to check in at the camp…read moresite. It's not really a far drive out (approximately just 2 hrs) but the rough road which started I think at Ola, Idaho made it long (about an hour; pls note we are pulling a trailer). Beautiful campground with a thick forest & wide lake! They have great bike trail/hiking trail along the river, not paved but it's an easy one that our 10 year old can follow! We also explored the oh so green forest! We did kayak in the river & swam. The lake is clean, several beach spots but not sandy, just muddy. Boats can only have a speed limit of 15mh, I think the river is just meant for a fishing boats, kayaks or paddle boards though there was a boat there that drove more than 15 mph. They have few camp sites so you need to reserve months in advance, husband did in February. No cell service & no internet/wifi was a plus, I think camping is meant to be like that, we disconnect to connect! No electricity, water & sewer hook ups, but we only stayed for 3 days & 2 nights that we were able to exhaust our water just right & filled our sewer just right. Overall a great camp out! We will definitely visit again!
