At the end of the float, Boise River Raft and Tube has a designated rented raft and equipment pick up spot, for easy dropping off of your equipment. It is nice not having to lug around the gear after soaking in the sun for a few hours. They also have a bus shuttle service which takes you back to the top after floating down to the bottom. Service is always great. The workers are friendly and have good knowledge on how to have a safe and fun floating experience. Pro Tip: For those not wanting to ride the bus back to the top and going in a group. Consider parking a vehicle at the bottom, piling into another vehicle, and then driving to the top. After you float down with your group, hop in the car at the bottom and pick up the vehicle at the top. Though the bus ride back to the top isn't anything to be feared and is a great option.

We literally jumped in the river with the tubes and loved our lovely 2.5 hour float down the river. We wished we had an oar as we kept drifting toward the banks and ran into tree branches which was a bummer. The water was 55 degrees and very refreshing. Loved the expression. At the end the well marked pull out you walk your tubes to the road and collect your receipt. Thank you for making this such a fun experience!

There were a ton of people in our time schedule, but they managed everyone well. It looks like it's about 6ish adults/raft + the guide. Be prepared to paddle hard depending on who's in your group. They provide life vests and a water jacket - the water is COLD in June. You don't need to worry too much about your glasses falling off, maybe your hat but all our sunnies stayed in place with no problem. We opted for the morning slot (100% would do it again). Benett brought the ENERGY at 9am. He gave everyone a speech about the area and safety tips - including what to do if you fall overboard. No one on our trip fell out unwillingly. They had a few spots for you to jump in and swim. We were lucky enough to get Benett as our guide as well. He let us ride in the front if we were brave enough to! I will be recommending this spot to anyone visiting the area- if there's a way to recommend a guide, I would recommend Benett as well. Thank you for making our trip memorable!

Our friends booked a river raft trip for the four of us with Cascade Raft & Kayak. They are located…read moreon 55 just north of Horseshoe Bend. You can book online. You park at their facility, which has lockers and dressing rooms, as well as food and drink. Everyone was very nice. You are fitted with a lifevest, offered the use of a splash guard pullover and water socks, and then taken by bus up to Banks to unload the rafts and start your trip. You get to help the guide move the raft from the trailer to the water. I'm detailing all this because this was my first river rafting trip. Our guide was Tucker, and he was the best! He fitted us with our lifejackets and splash guards, and then came and talked to the four of us prior to boarding the bus, giving a lot of valuable information. Once on the river, he was very good about explaining what to expect, and giving detailed information about each rapid and other landmarks as well. He was very knowledgable, friendly, polite, and engaging. Tucker made my first experience thoroughly enjoyable. My wife and our friends also enjoyed the trip immensely. I would definitely do another trip with Cascade Raft & Kayak!

We've done many rafting trips over the years but this was the first time we've gotten suited up in a farmer john suit, water booties, and long sleeve waterproof shirt to combat the cold water. We have been in snow melt runs before so this was interesting but oh so great to be comfortable on the river. I was never cold and interestingly never too warm despite the layers. Sean follows the raft in a white water kayak to be a safety back up just in case and also snap some cool pics - also a first on a rafting trip and I thought it was awesome. Stephen did a great job navigating our raft and the collective group of us were all skilled enough to ensure we didn't tip over or fall out of the raft (except one person). We just loved it! We did the canyon stretch for 5 class 4 rapids in like 45 minutes. The trip felt like it went fast but it was so fun! Lunch was delicious, allergy sensitive which is always appreciated. It was nice to see this part of Idaho since we usually stay further south west due to where family lives when we visit. It was a treat to be on the rafting trip and catch some hot springs nearby and on the rafting trip. This river stretch includes Pine Flat hot springs but Kirkham is within a couple miles and part of a different run they offer as well. 100% recommend if you are looking for an awesome adventure with great people!

After reading many reviews we decided to try out Bear Rafting Valley Company. Boy are we glad we did! We had a Blast!!! We had a party of 4. (2 adults and 2 kids). We are elderly and was a bit worried that it might be a bit too much...but the only problem we had is we couldn't stop smiling and laughing. There was a total of 7 on our boat. Our guide was a fun, very knowledgeable about nature, safe and entertaining man named Max. He kept us entertained the whole 3 hours. He even let our Grandkids jump out of the boat and swim. I was nervous when the grandkids did - but he said don't worry-I'll get them in the raft safely. There were several level 2 and 3 rapids that kept it exciting. We will definitely come again! The front staff is also very friendly and accommodating. I loved the fact that the drive was only 50 minutes from Meridian! Who knew this fun place was so close! We will definitely be back!

Views were stunning, the water was great, and both guides with the group were helpful and friendly. Our group had been rafting a couple of times, so the class 2/3 rapids were fun and very doable. An additional guide was taking pictures on the way, which we were able to pay extra for at the end-- super high quality pics for an affordable price. One thing to note is that the rafting office is a drive from the actual launch spot, so there is a bus ride on the way there as well as the way back. Highly recommend this company; we had so much fun!

Once we arrived we got into the river pretty quickly and headed off. It was scenic, warm, and beautiful. Even saw a duck catch a fish, and a few osprey. Jack did a great job keeping us entertained and safely guiding us through some great rapids. I should mention this is only my second time doing this and the experience was everything I'd hoped for. Lunch at the end was also perfect, a little protein, little starch, and a salad, even dessert! If you get the chance to go out I highly recommend these guys. If they're anything like jack you'll have a great time!

First time at Sage Hen! We got here Friday afternoon at 2, the exact time to check in at the camp…read moresite. It's not really a far drive out (approximately just 2 hrs) but the rough road which started I think at Ola, Idaho made it long (about an hour; pls note we are pulling a trailer). Beautiful campground with a thick forest & wide lake! They have great bike trail/hiking trail along the river, not paved but it's an easy one that our 10 year old can follow! We also explored the oh so green forest! We did kayak in the river & swam. The lake is clean, several beach spots but not sandy, just muddy. Boats can only have a speed limit of 15mh, I think the river is just meant for a fishing boats, kayaks or paddle boards though there was a boat there that drove more than 15 mph. They have few camp sites so you need to reserve months in advance, husband did in February. No cell service & no internet/wifi was a plus, I think camping is meant to be like that, we disconnect to connect! No electricity, water & sewer hook ups, but we only stayed for 3 days & 2 nights that we were able to exhaust our water just right & filled our sewer just right. Overall a great camp out! We will definitely visit again!

Tess rules the kitchen with lasagne, New York strips, and salmon dinners. Colin was an excellent oarsman and bartender (wicked recipe on the tequila shot!) Tyler kept everyone organized and brought the Patty's! How in the hell Timmy kept up with this group at almost 80 is beyond comprehension. We enjoyed perfect weather mid June for a 6 day trip, our crew had 3 kids who absolutely thrived on all of the water activities. They can't wait to get back on the river with this group of guides.
