I had some…read morenot-so-great customer service from them in the past but let it go as I assume maybe the receptionist was just grumpy and having a day. But it was on more than one occasion. It seems like they're annoyed if you ask questions. Which is usually what people do when they are uneducated about what you're asking and get uncomfortable. I was asking the receptionist who the first tech was that I saw who moved and then came back. Instead of making it a smooth conversation by just looking at my past appts to see who my techs were, she said, "do you remember their name?" No I just know it was the first girl I saw." "Ok well you've seen 3". Ok so the first tech." It was just going back and forth like she wanted to make things difficult and to keep asking me questions guessing the name of the techs. So I asked her if she could read me the names of the techs so I'm not guessing. Why do people purposefully make things more difficult? I am a Fitzpatrick 4 and when I called to ask about the Fitzpatrick scale, the girl didn't know what a Fitzpatrick scale was. Not a good sign. I only decided to come to hello laser for the specific laser GentleMax-Pro and they are extremely close to where I live. So basically out of convenience I'll give them a go. It wasn't until I called about one of my last appts out of 6 to see how long I should be off hydroquinone before doing laser. She didn't know what that topical cream was, which is shocking as it's a BIG contraindication with laser. She said, "I'm sure 48hrs is good." I said, "oh wow, really? Only 48hrs? Are you able to ask to make sure? I don't agree with guessing when it comes to laser and people's skin." She abruptly repeated again, "48 hrs." So I decided to wait 2 weeks to be sure and then go in for my laser. Glad I did. The lack of education and care of their customers, is frightening. Be careful customers. Laser is not a device to play around with. Once something goes wrong it's nearly impossible to undo. With laser studios, you sign your life away so they can't and won't be held responsible if something goes wrong. Even if they guided you incorrectly. Those girls have way too much downtime and not having enough knowledge. Maybe they should be studying so they can learn proper contraindications with medications and devices before booking anymore appts. And stop arguing with customers. It's extremely unprofessional.

Instead of addressing my concern, I kept being offered alternative procedures, none of which made any difference in the area I wanted treated. I fully understand you can't make a 60-year-old look like a 20-year-old. All I wanted was a little filler at the bottom corner of my lips. That's it. But Sarah, the last provider--and honestly one or two before her--did other procedures that accomplished nothing. Sarah used a volumizer at the bottom of my lip corners plus threads. The only outcome was a badly bruised chin for two months. She told me not to get too excited because the "filling" was just inflammation. As a nurse, that was concerning to me--I wanted filler, not inflammation. After the procedure, the pitch shifts to more expensive treatments, like microneedling. Sure, that might be worthwhile on its own, but it doesn't solve my problem. Two and a half months after Sarah told me I'd see results, I've seen none. Zero. I spent $1,800 for nothing. I called the Biltmore location on Thursday, September 16th, and spoke with someone whose name I unfortunately didn't get. They said they'd call me Friday morning. Nothing. Today is Monday, and while I've left another message, I don't expect a response. I'll be going to a provider who will actually listen and do this very minor filler procedure for me. I wouldn't recommend SkinSpirit Biltmore. They may do something, but understand going in that you likely won't get the results you want--so you keep returning hoping for better. Go to someone reputable. Not SkinSpirit.

The receptionist didn't even look up from her phone, she was on a FaceTime call, with the volume all the way up. That call also continued through the entire service, which was EXTREMELY disturbing. I stated I was there for a pedicure and she pointed and the seats and said "go there" I sit down and wait, a woman comes up and points to a chair, without saying a word. I mention to her one of my nails was cracked down the center and asked her to add a small dot of acrylic onto the crack. She then proceeds to add an entire tip and FULL acrylic base to my nail. The base color she chose was a dark purple shade and she layered it on at least 5 times. So now my nail was super thick and uneven. She then asked me how I wanted it shaped, and then asked me to tell her when it's good. Not even that, but I ended up having to walk her through the entire shaping process. As I'm sitting, the receptionist then comes up and asks for my card. My service isn't even complete yet and she's asking me for payment. I ask if this is the proper time and she just said "so card?" I hand her my card and she comes back with a receipt of $81. I got an essential pedicure which is $35 and the set of gel which adds $20. Which would ultimately take my total to $55. Not $81. My nail tech was on her phone the entire time and could not communicate well with me, so that's how I ended up in this situation. The next day I called the salon and their solution was to offer me 15% off of my next visit. I asked MULTIPLE times for a full refund and they refused. I then stated I would not be returning, and the manager told me, "I am not going to argue with you, I gave you the discount" Never go to this establishment. They are rude and unprofessional.
