Had a wonderful breakfast, where the service was outstanding. Very rustic Mexican vibe as you walk the grounds and greenhouses. Plenty of parking Great tourist attractions even for the locals.

If you go in the off peak season, entry is free and you can head right in for a great brunch or lunch. Vibes are cozy and old school, with lots of wood and pewter ceilings. Service is kind and super fast. Food was very large portions and super flavourful. Most items have a Mexican twist on them which we loved. Also offering specials every day. LOTS of vegetarian options - almost everything on the menu has an option! Drinks were small for the price (London fog and mocha) and both were room temperature, not warm.

This is a beautiful place to go. The scenery is very beautiful and the plants are reasonably priced. They used to make extra money through the restaurant by serving good food at affordable prices. This year the food was not as nice the last 5 years I've attended and they've increased the prices considerably. Two coffees and two entrees shouldn't cost over $60. The chicken was undercooked and the flavor locklaster as well as the beef which was extremely chewy. The tip is set with the minimum of 18% to 30% which is cheeky for a farm. I would still recommend going but advise you eat lunch before your trip.

I live the Saskatoon farm. They have an amazing farmers market that I believe is more reasonably priced than other farmers markets because they grow everything there and do not have to pay prices to ship it so everything is well priced. It is a great place for families to spend the day together walking around and exploring.

Cute farm that is well designed for visitors. Saw tons of families and kids. Parking might be kind of difficult on the weekends. We went in the summer on the first weekend of the sour cherries. They have restaurants and eats around the farm. Pizza was fresh and the ice cream was just alright.

Great spot for a nice day out. Beautiful views and gardens. Bring the family or just go by yourself. They have a great restaurant and bakery. Mexican inspired menu and fresh Saskatoon berry desserts. Nice selection of craft beers too. Garden and housewares galore. You can get also get plants, trees and seeds for your own garden. Definitely a must go when in Southern Alberta. Check it out.

Went here in a group of 4 for Saturday lunch and farm experience. It's a great place if you're looking to spend a bright sunny day in farm and have a feast alongside. There was a 30 minute waiting for table but you could very much spend that time roaming around, checking out their bakery, shops and farmers market. In food, we tried Yam fries, Onion rings, Vegetarian tacos, burrito and enchiladas. Out of these, I would recommend Yam fries, enchiladas and tacos. Burrito got soggy with its filling, so it was not as enjoyable as others. Overall a good experience, however one-time.

We were in the neighborhood and found this hidden gem in amongst the rural landscape near Okotoks, Alberta. We were quickly seated inside and our wonderful server, Jenn, was quite possibly the most efficient, friendly and helpful person we could have been fortunate enough to have to guide us through our pending culinary experience. I started with a bowl of the potato bacon soup, which is a chicken broth based soup, and was very tasty. Our choices were the Guero bowl (a blend of white rice topped with fresh avocado, fresh veggies, pico de gallo, black beans, pickled onions, and tahini dressing) and the chicken chimichanga (organic flour tortilla stuffed with chicken, finished with a perfectly fried crunch, and topped with chipotle sauce, and served with a side of sour cream and salsa). Not stopping there, we were presented with a piece of Saskatoon berry pie with ice cream, which was heaven on a plate. We would highly recommend this restaurant!!

I live in the SE so the Saskatoon Farm is actually really close for me, however even if it's not that close it's a fun place to visit and you should make the trip out there at least once. A beautiful farm setting and a cute little "main street" type setup including a general store, market, restaurant and lots of plants, trees, berry bushes etc.. The restaurant is really good and often quite busy, we went for brunch the first time but by the time we waited it was lunchtime so we went for lunch which is a lot of Mexican dishes which are very tasty. Of course, they have lots of pies for sale made with their fresh saskatoon berries. It's a lot of fun to spend some time out there in the summer and pick berries, they update their facebook page with which berries are in season and how the picking is looking. Recently we went out there to stock up on farm fresh vegetables, you could fill an orange veggie bag with as much produce as you could fit for $12.00, it was a great deal for farm fresh produce. I also briefly looked at their tree prices and they were really reasonable compared to some of the other places we had been looking. I might need to pick myself up an apple tree on my next visit.

A great place for a day trip that keeps improving and adding to it's attractions and activities. The rambling eccentic farmhouse buildings - one with a front wall of teapots - house shopping, bakery, restaurant and homemade food store. Greenhouses and paths are dotted with beautiful plant displays, statuary, art, photo op spots and seating overlooking a river valley. The farmers market is supplemented with u-pick as berries come into season and well behaved dogs and cats wander and greet guests. Newer uses include evening wedding receptions and craft classes. Unfortunately I wasn't as happy with lunch at the restaurant as on previous visits. My veggie quiche had been microwaved, making the crust soggy and the whole thing lava hot. Still enjoyed the Saskatoon dressing on the crisp side salad though.

The bucket which will cost you 15$ if filled to the brim.

Stopped by for some impromptu berry picking and exploring. There's a store that is kitschy and strange, not in a good way. Come for the berries! There's a mini farmer's market, a cafe, and a restaurant. Did not try any of those. There are beautiful views of valleys below, and the foliage around. When you first enter this place you're surrounded by lush plants in all directions. Very beautiful and good for photo oops. As for the berry picking-- I recommend trying if you haven't. I hadn't tasted Saskatoon berries before this and was able to sample them and enter the picking area for 2$. To fill a bucket is 15$, but ours wasn't very full in the end (so much tasting!) so it ended up costing 2$ for the minimal berries we picked.

The drive to Saskatoon Farm was worth it! The farm is full of beautiful trees, flowers, sights, and vintage buildings. The weather was perfectly sunny and warm when we visited around the first week of July. We were hungry, so we went straight for the cafe. We ordered the breakfast wrap and huevos rancheros. The restaurant was busy, but the food came quickly and the servers were all attentive and very personable. We enjoyed our meal and headed for the shops and the lookout. The shops could use some fixing and cleaning up, as the merchandise looked a bit disorganized - the shelves need some wiping down and dusting. Also, we were waiting at least 20 minutes before someone came to help us and ring us through the check out. The cafe washrooms need to get renovated as well. There are loads of activities around the farm, especially the last week of July as the Saskatoon berries are ready for picking. The lookout is also a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery. We were very impressed with how fresh their fruits and veggies were. Their green onions were huge and their strawberries were really sweet! We thouroughly enjoyed the Saskatoon Farm and will definitely come back to visit!

What a wonderful hidden gem. We drove out from north Calgary today to check out the nursery. It took us 30 min (maybe I drive a tad over speed limit) from Country Hills Blvd. A beautiful drive! The nursery was not up and running yet. But we easily filled two hours browsing the wonderful home furniture and decor throughout many quaint buildings. If you are looking for a unique item for your home this is the place. The prices are reasonable for the decor you will find. After we browsed and purchased a few signs we had lunch. Absolutely one the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. I ordered the Country Biscuit Breakfast. It was delicious. Fresh biscuits topped with an omelette with peppers. Smothered in a wonderful sauce and cheese. Oh And bacon!!!!!! We will definitely go back somewhat regularly.

Each section is so beautifully and thoughtfully done! The website says: Welcome to Granary Road. The founders of Granary Road are local Calgarians with kids just like you. 2 years ago we struck out to build a wonderful destination for the whole family. Granary Road is a rich life experience for everyone. Mom, Dad and Grandparents can sip coffee from the Bakery while musing over fresh organic produce in the public Market or nibble on something delicious from the Bistro while the kids explore the adventures of an Active Learning Park the likes of which Alberta, and maybe North America, has never seen before. There's so much to do... ...in a place that has found the perfect blend of nostalgic ambiance and thrilling fun. We've thought of something for everyone: * The Market at Granary Road is a friendly, upscale market that is charismatic and eclectic with first class vendors from 30+ different product categories including our fresh produce vendor who grows vegetables in our on-site green house just steps from where they are sold. Granary Road is set in an intimate, newly constructed wood clad building that replicates the charm of a traditional granary and echoes the pastoral beauty of the rolling foothills that surround it. Closely modeled after a Sonoma Valley winery, the Granary Road market features brilliant natural light and spectacular views. * The Bistro, Bakery and Bar at Granary Road are the flagship centerpiece of the market offering market and park goers a broad range of delicious baked goods, casual dining and refreshing wine, beer or cocktails. * The Active Learning Park at Granary Road is filled with acres of imaginative, energetic learning experiences for kids of all ages. Giant animatronic frogs, bats and spiders greet visitors as they walk 3 kilometers of trails connecting 11 different educational and heart-pounding fun exhibits. Each stop is based on an animal, insect or agricultural theme with an interactive learning component and an exciting activity like a 16' foot web climber that has a giant wolf spider at the top or a 4-story bigger than life ant farm with an obstacle course in the tunnels or an echolocation bat maze where kids navigate using sound plus many other great experiences. I have no idea how much we spent but there must have been 30 samples and I tasted about 20 items, haha!!! We bought hot pepperoni, honey garlic and a bundnerfleisch. I've no idea how to say it but I have a pic of it. There's various package sizes of the assorted meats with a great variety of cheese too. We bought yellow curry and sampled so many things! The vendors are extremely friendly and we really liked the lady who sells wood items that's been burnt and etched with 10,000 volts. Totally visit her kiosk!!! Next up, the dip station. We sampled crab dip, bacon dip and red pepper hummus. Bought the bacon dip. The retro candy kiosk was really neat...we ended up with 5 dif chocolate bars. We also bought 2 soup mixes and then met the hand pie lady. OMG... her pastry is 100% butter based so it's crunchy not super flaky. If you like a dense, crunchy crust - go here! Boys had the Aussie beef pie for dinner and I had a lamb pie. I can't rave enough about it. Served it with celery and carrots sticks with the bacon dip - Sunday dinner in a pinch! After the vendors, we headed outside for a free hayride pulled by a tractor. The greenhouse has a petting zoo, with sheep, rabbits, an alpaca photo booth and a bunch of games. Overall, we had a great time and can't wait to return. Those meat pies beat simple Simon pies hands down with substantial portions. Next time I'll try a fruit pie. There's a ton of other cool vendors but you really should check it out for yourself!
