Great product, a shame about the service. This is one of the most disappointing shopping…read moreexperiences in Okotoks. I've spent hundreds of dollars buying balsamic vinegar from On Tap. The vinegar is outstanding, and I've sent it all over the country from St. John's to Toronto, to Victoria as gifts. Disappointment comes when you frequent a local business this often and the clerk (there only seems to be one), has no sales training whatsoever (brinking on rude). No acknowledgment when you enter the store, no expressed appreciation for your business, no willingness to pass along feedback to the owner. On one occasion I arrived five minutes before the store was closing (because of my work schedule), and the clerk indicated that she was closing and I should come back tomorrow. At $37.00 a pop for a bottle of balsamic, do you really want to send a customer away and tell them to come back tomorrow? Having said all this, the onus is on management to train staff to provide the customer service that patrons deserve. Wake up Okotoks and On Tap - hire and train people to have a modicum of respect and appreciation for your customers. No wonder so many people are turning to Amazon. This type of service drives people away from shopping local

If only it were open on Sundays then we could have returned home with some meat for our fridges and/or freezers on our return trip through town. None-the-less, it was a delicious lunch stop on a recent road trip. While I suspect that my fruit salad side had been sitting in the case display for a bit longer than is optimal, my sandwich was very flavourful, with just the right amount of pulled meat on a delicious multi-grain bun. It was great to have so many options at this stop on our trip. Staff seemed genuinely happy to see us arrive at a non-traditionally busy time (it was early for lunch but late for breakfast) and all of us ordered beverages with our meals. The coffee drinker in our group had his mug refilled promptly which was nice to see as well! The snacks available in the grocery part of the shop were varied and fascinated our group as we waited for our food, which was a great marketing technique as well! Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit if you're hungry on your way through town.
