Review #2 - November 2017 Ok as you can see below I first came to Sashe in September 2017 , I gave them four stars because I thought the service was good. Today I came in for my second visit and I must say, I was disappointed. The lash tech that did my eyebrows was not happy to be there , it felt as if I was begging her to do my lashes as oppose to paying her. She didn't seem very experienced , she kept removing lashes that she put on (painful), she glued lashes to my skin , I can literally see the white glue stains on my eyelid. I thought Sashe had potential , but now it seems that they are inconsistent. Not sure if I will return. Review #1 - September 2017 Sashe brow and Lash Bar is great - very well kept and clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc I feel it took a while for my lashes to get done (about an hour and a half) & also I had an appointment at 2 but wasn't seen until about 2:45. Day two with the lashes and they all fell off. This was the worst lash appointment I have ever had. The glue did not stick on to my lashes and the owner is very nasty and rude. I am absolutely disappointed. I usually get my lashes done in the city and decided to support a black owned business. When I reported this to the owner she replies by saying "it's how you sleep" so I'm supposed to sleep a certain way?!? Please tell me how I should sleep. Standing ? I know they say beauty is pain but I thought I paid for enough to not have to stand in order to preserve a mediocre set of lashes. This is the result of paying half price the city price for my lashes. I get half price the quality. This place was not ready for opening. I've been reading all these comments and I'm just really sad to say that all the good ones or at least most of them are fake. They write good reviews just for their $5 discount. My experience was terrible, my moms experience was terrible, and my friends experience was terrible. I'm embarrassed that I recommended so many people here but I thought I shouldn't judge just because my experience was bad. Being that we all went a different times and experienced the worst and had the worst I'm truly certain this place is dangerous, unprofessional, and unsanitary. The problem however is not the staff, or at least the staff I interacted with. There were these two girls who sat at the front desk. They took my name and interacted with me. They spoke a lot to each other but gave off comfortable vibes which made me stay a little longer being that my appointment was delayed. The technician I had moved about two hours slow. There was one good technician named Sarah I believe and she was Indian and nice. She treated her customers with care and she made me feel like this place would treat me right . I waited and waited and the next thing you know I see the so called boss walk in. Her appearance was unprofessional and she was about an hour late for her appointment which was sitting right next to me. SHE DIDNT EVEN WASH HER HANDS. I was scared for my life honestly. I stayed because my technician Christina looked cleaner and nicer and took time on her work. After the ladies behind the desk filled me in on how long I'd wait more , I stayed and decided to chat with them. I learned that they are very young and I questioned what kind of business would hire this young. But they were very kind and helped the wait. The "boss" who does lashes herself kept taking breaks in between and going to the store and eating as if someone wasn't paying a lot of money for her to focus and do lashes. She would step outside to even talk to her friends and still WOULDNT WASH HER HANDS. I got my lashes done and I thought they were fine. I paid a full price and left. When I got home I realized my lashes were super thin for a volume set. None had fell out but they were just super thin. I called for a correction was booked the next day. Although the wait was super long and I became disgusted by sitting down in a place where the boss herself is unsanitary and unprofessional, the technicians work is not ever complete, and the only good thing about the shop is the color, the music , and some staff which are the ones who aren't even responsible for my lashes. I left and didn't even want a correction. I went all the way to Brooklyn to remove them literally. I seriously don't recommend coming here but if you do Sarah is the cleanest and has the best work from what I've seen. Everyone loved her work and the reviews say so themselves but this business is a SCAM. There's no one to complain too cause the boss herself is a scam. Most of the techs I've seen and heard were scams. Save your money I'm saying this from the bottom of my heart. Give it a few more months, Authority figures will see this mess. read more

I started coming here when they first opened. As got a lot of the same. It was really nice in the beginning but then the techs kept leaving. First sign that things were going downhill. The restroom is unkept cleaning supplies in plain site just rachett . The tech started working on my eyes I'm all taped up and a old employee comes in yelling about calling the police because they haven't paid her WTF I'm laying here praying she doesn't do anything and should I pull all this tape off and leave. The tech kept ignoring her as she continued to work on my lashes. Then I went for a refill and she took hours and it was painful!!!! Now my right eye is irritated I think she left a clump of glue or something. Don't want to but I gotta go and have her fix it . It will be the last time I go ! read more

MY LASH TECH FINGERS SMELLED LIKE SHE JUST GOT FINISHED SMOKING WEED!! YUCK!!!!!!!!! Like wtf wash and sanitize your hands before being all up in someone's face area !!!! First and last time , I wish I never went . I won't go in great detail but this place Sucks.. nice decor for no reason the service is bad . Everyone came into work as if they did not want to be there . My lashes started falling off the same day .. Idk where to start lol The store ran out of lash glue I over heard my "lash tech " tell Sara ( the manager ) that the glue is all dried out ! And they had to go searching for more .. didn't find any . My lash lady ended up using her "personal lash glue " on me smh! What a disaster and my eyes were burning !!! No one in there smiled or seemed happy to service me & my sister .. Ladies learn to smile and be pleasant it goes a long way ! Okay...... I booked with them because I kept coming across their Instagram and they have a great special on Tuesday's. So I travel the hour & a half to Jamaica Queens from Manhattan. The shop is very pretty & my appointment started on time. Before I sat down another girl was complaining about my lash technicians technique and insisted on her stopping and waiting the 2 hours for someone else to be free, that was my first warning. Nonetheless I go to the bathroom and then come over & take my seat while my lash technician is eating food where my head is about to lay...... she asks if I have any photos of what I want. I show her two & explain that I prefer my lashes spaced out & long. She tells me the look I want is $90 because it's thick....... I have been getting my lashes done for 2 years and usually technicians tell me the way I want my lashes is too spaced out and I need them thicker to last longer... so this is news to me. I go to their IG page and ask if a specific photo is $55 & she says yes.. Cool. She gives me a makeup wipe to go in the bathroom & take off my makeup. When I come back 1 min. Later she is eating that food again. I lay down & process to wait for her to finish eating & start my lashes. She starts my lashes and gets on the phone all in my ear the entire time. Lashes typically take an hour and a half- 2 hours right? Mine took 35 mins. And they look like they took 35mins. But of course she takes me over to the counter & shows me the tip pricing lol the audacity. I should've gave her several tips of good service but I tipped her and vowed to never come back. I tried this lash shop because the price was cheaper but the saying is so true, "you get what you pay for!" I showed my technician one of "their" photos from their instagram page and told her that was the look that i wanted. She agreed and proceeded to do my lashes. Once she finished my lashes looked NOTHING like the picture but i was in a rush to pick my child up from school so i payed and left. I called and spoke to the owner and explained to her that i was not pleased with the work and she told me i could come back and get more lashes added to get the look i wanted. I came back the same day and another girl added more lashes to try to get the look. I never got the look that i wanted but i just left because i was tired of them playing with my eyes. Lashes began to fall of THE SAME DAY, multiple lashes!! Majority of my lashes were gone by the end of the first week. I've decided to go here since the price was cheaper and closer than having to run to the city. I've gotten my lashes done in many different places. I've just been looking for one that's more convenient to me. I'll start by saying I believe in giving places the benefit of the doubt. Appointment day: I arrived at my appointment on time with the intention it would take less than a hour - as I was told. I had a show in the city in 2 hours and that's the only time could schedule me. I got there and they were arguing who was going to do my lashes. I waited about 30 mins before they started. Results: They looked spacey and they knew I didn't like it because they kept saying you have to get use to it. I called the next day they said they can fix it but I'll have to come in between appointments but they were always "booked" every time I called. After chasing them for two weeks I asked for a removal. Side effects: The lashes are very plastic like and dark. They also started going on different directions. Worst of all when water would touch my lashes my eyes would burn for like 20 mins. It applied with two of their lashes on one of mine - no wonder it was falling out! Last resort: I called over 5 times- spoke to two different girls twice they said I could get it removed for free. I have a super busy schedule. When I kept trying to go in they kept saying there were booked. When I finally get a chance to just go in because I'm fed up of the run around they say "we don't have a record of the calls so you have to pay. You took a month to come in - you have to pay" I found this so ridiculous I asked the owner to contact me.. the supervisor there came to work looking like she just rolled out of bed. Unprofessional and she didn't care. I told her have the owner reach out to me. The owner: I decided to call after I left to find out when she'll contact me. Ironically it was the owner- which I feel was the same girl I was speaking to me. ( They both had the same thick Jamaica accent- and I'm West Indian so there wasnt any miss communication) She refused to give me her name and told me she had one record of the call and she remembered me asking to a free removal and she didn't approve it.. bottom like I have to pay. She didn't care I was getting side effects or the lashes were installed incorrectly. Unprofessional Overall I was very disappointed- so I say this... don't think I'm over reacting or writing this while upset. I had a horrible experience, let me just say I came here a long time ago with my friend for her to take the eyelash extensions class, we were told the class started at 10am but the instructor/manager Yani did not come until 2pm, nobody was there to tell us anything. After waiting all that time, she came in looking like she just hoped out of bed, she was also out of supplies. I decided to to give it another chance a month later and got my lashes done there, hoping I would have a better experience. I made an appointment for 3pm, the day before the receptionist called to confirm my appointment FOR 3pm. The day of, receptionist called me to tell me that my appointment would be move to 3:30 they had been running late, I said it was fine, 1 block away and I get another phone call telling me my appointment is now moved to 4, I was already there so I said fine. I saw that the receptionist asked the technician how long it would be until i'm seen and she reported back to me 30mins. I said it was fine, I was finally seen at 5pm. As the technician was doing my lashes, she asked the receptionist for length 15 , the receptionist said there weren't anymore and I also heard the technicians whispering that there aren't any lashes. The technician she let me know, she's going to have to use all the 14 she has left and mixed it with 11. I was so furious, because what kind of business doesn't make sure they are prepared for their costumers ?. At the end, my lashes looked so bad and I didn't even say anything to the technician because I know she did her best using what she had. Three days later so many of my lashes fell off, I called to tell them and they said I could come in that day to get a free correction. I came in and a different technician I think her name was sarrah told me I needed a new set, too many had fallen off, being desperate to have my lashes done for an event I had to attend, I paid for a whole new set and Sarrah did an amazing job. I wanted to write a review because I loved going here when I was being seen by Jessica. However the last two times I went here my experience was soo bad o will not return. I waited 45 mins for the technician to finish another client despite being early to my appointment. No apology nothing. The next time I went for the same technician I was told I would have to wait at least 45 mins because they had a late start. I was able to reschedule or a later time. When I came back she was still behind and gave me tons of attitude. I decided to leave which was unfortunate because I was truly trying to be understanding about her scheduling conflict. I was told o should call the manager the next day I thought the technician was so unprofessional. I had decided to just find a new place but when I went on their page on Instagram they have posts about how important being on time to your appointment is. I just thought someone should do a review to let you know you will wait no matter here apparently. I would like to update this review since I have gone back to this establishment. The tech I had the horrible experience with is no longer there I believed her name is jewel. I would say that I have found a tech whose work I am extremely satisfied with there. If you're debating between this and any other place, go to the other place. 2 days after I got my lashes done, my right lashes began to fall. after 5 days i had literally zero lashes in my right eye. I contacted them on instagram 6 days after I got my lashes done, and the best they can come up with is a fill in with a $10 discount. My friend who had gone months before me had the exact problem. I had a horrible experience my first time at Sashe Brow and lash Bar. My friend and I traveled from 45 mins away had a 7:00 pm appointment, they did not start our lashes until 7:45. After waiting 45 mins we had to go to whoever was available rather than who we were assigned to when signing up for the appointment. My lady was very rude and complained to the other employee the whole time she did my lashes. When she was finished it looked very thin and like minimal effort was put in. I asked if she could make them look fuller and she just starred at me and completely ignored me. I then had to ask one of the other employees if they could add a few more lashes so it wouldn't look so thin. Sarah did the best she could and when I left the lashes looked much better. However after just three days the lashes have started to fall off of one eye. I would not recommend going here at all unless you are getting your lashes done by Sarah. Just wanted to write a review on the HORRIBLE customer service I've just received. I came in to get my lashes done for the first time because I heard good reviews on their work, they told me to come in at 2pm ... cool .... I've arrived at 1:30pm. I waited for an almost 2 HOURS! Then when I get my turn to go on the bed they tell me, they don't have ANYMORE LASHES! How are you guys a lash bar with no LASHES! That makes NO SENSE! They didn't even do anything to accommodate me for my troubles. I would not recommend this "lash bar" to anybody. The first time I got my lashes done they were fine they lasted for about a month and didn't seem to damage my real lashes, however the tech was late for my appointment and I waited about 20-30 mins. The second time around the appointment was delayed again (by a diff lash tech). My lashes began falling out the same day and I realized my real lashes were coming out along with the fake ones. I also realized my lids felt like they were stinging and my eyes were burning much more than the first time. Fast forward two weeks later almost all of them were gone and I wanted to take the last few out ASAP so I could start taking care of my real lashes and bring them back to life. I made an appt for 2:15 which the lady changed to 1:45. An hour before the appointment they cancelled it. Pretty ridiculous and the lady on the phone sounded rude When I called to ask why they said the schedule was "too tight" and the tech would be coming in at 2. First off if I had an appointment I should be seen anyway, especially if it was originally for 2. I didn't feel like arguing with them so I just hung up. I found another lash place who was able to do the removal for the same day. When I was done with the removal I realized all my lashes were much shorter. The lash tech from the new place had informed me the lashes were put on sloppy they used way to much glue and were all bunched together which caused breakage of my actual lashes. And many of them were glued on to my lid. NEVER AGAIN will I go here. And neither should you your real lashes will undergo a ton of damage. Super unprofessional and sloppy! read more

Well I had a lash course scheduled from 10am-6pm (NYS requires 8 hrs worth of training) the receptionist called me a day before and let me know that class would be 12-6pm. That was a red flag for me because when learning something as tedious as this I like to take my time and be well informed. So I was late I arrived at 12:06pm I apologized for my lateness and I was assured that it was okay because the lash tech wasn't even there yet. Second red flag because who teaches a class and gets there after a student who is late ? SMH ! At 1pm I asked the receptionist how far away the lash tech was she said she didn't know then said maybe 25 mins. Third red flag, the receptionist is not accountable for the lash tech as she should be. Another student and I have invested our hard earned money and our time is being wasted with no remorse. Between 1pm & 130pm a lash tech that was working on a client asked the receptionist if she wasn't the one teaching the class and she responded "I don't teach classes anymore" in a rude manner. My eyes stayed fixed on her as she had this conversation and she didn't offer any apologies on her or the companies behalf. Lastly the receptionist told us that the lash tech wouldnt be there until 2pm which completely cuts the NYS regulation in half ! She instructed us to read the manual until the lash tech arrived so that when she got there we wouldn't have to go into detail on it. I told her I wasn't reading the manual AGAIN & that I need my money and I'm leaving. She asked if next week would be a better day and I said as long as when you say 12pm that means I'm not waiting for an hour and 30 mins before asking for a refund. After I was refunded, I wasn't even asked for the manual back I guess they had confidence that I would be back next Sunday Sidenote: they don't have heat in the salon my UGGs couldn't even keep my toes warm ! read more

I meant to update my review after my experience but I completely forgot. The reason I got my lashes done to begin with was because I was going on vacation and I didn't want to have to worry about wearing a lot of makeup but also wanted to look presentable. The first night after I got my lashes done they were fine. The next morning was my flight and that's when I started to have issues. The lashes irritated my eyes so bad that they would constantly water and I would get this intense burning sensation for a few seconds and then my eyes would turn red. When it happened the first time I rinsed my eyes with water and thought it wouldn't happen again. Wrong. It happened every single day multiple times a day. The burning was so bad that I had no choice but to try my best to remove as many lashes as I could myself, since the country I was in didn't have a lash center. It was a complete nightmare. But let me tell you, the moment I removed majority of the lashes off I had zero burning and irritation. Honestly I don't know what kind of glue they use but I will never return because of how bad my experience was. Since then I have tried one other lash place and I even went back for a refill because I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have a bad reaction to the glue they use. read more

One star is for the worker.. she was very friendly . The second for the ambience. It's a nice looking. Spot. I have gotten my eyelash extension 4 times before. My options are usually silk or mink. Which are thin and light in weight. This means that your real eyelashes don't fall out as much. The ones I got here were very thick and heavy. This meant hay they kept on flipping upside down. They kept on falling off with my eyelash attached to it. This happens with the silk or mink eyelashes but not to this extent. I'll be having to put on castor/argon oil for a long time. On top of the eyelashes themselves being very low quality, the glue job was awful. Very thick application. I felt the glue when I rubbed my eyelid (not normal). It also hurt for a whole week because the application of glue was so thick it pulled at my eyelashes and eyelids constantly. The majority of them have fallen offf along with my eyelashes and it has only been a week. The silk or mink lasts for at least 3 weeks and look very natural despite the length... then they fall off slowly and not always with your eyelashes (plural) attached to them. Advice: make sure you get the right type of eyelash. These are cheap plastic lashes that look fake. read more

I've done my lashes twice at Sashe and I have to admit I was a little hesitant at first. I love a good deal, so I decided to give them a try. I must say I was very impressed with the job both technicians did both times. Definitely my new favorite for getting my lashes done and the location is perfect too as there's always parking right Infront the store. The lash techs are pleasant and courteous and very good at what they do. The owner was there both times and she's very friendly and attentive, she made sure to offer myself and another customer refreshments while we waited for our services which was refreshing. The atmosphere and ambiance is superb and I love the decor. Keep up the good job, see you in a few days for my refill. read more

I'm so irritated. I called Sashe brows when they opened to make an appointment and was told that they had non available same day. About two hours later I received a phone call stating that they in fact had appointments available for the hours of 5-7pm. I scheduled a 5pm appointment and when I arrived all the chairs were occupied and I was told I had to wait. I was told that the 7pm slot would be better- I agreed to come back at 7pm. At around 6:46pm I get a call asking if I can come in tomorrow!! I said no. I went in for my scheduled appointment at 7pm and the receptionist says that my wait would be an hour being that a client came late and they were just starting on her lashes. Word of advice-If a client comes a whole hour late that particular client should be the one rescheduling. I have a VERY important day tomorrow and trusted that the level of professionalism that Sashe Brows would give would be at least exceptional and to my surprise I was wrong. I am very disappointed and now have no means of getting my lashes done for tomorrow being that most places are now closed. If you guys could feel the frustration and how furious I am!!!! needless to say I will not be returning to Sashe Brows. By far the worst experience ever. read more

This was my first time here and I absolutely love it... I got the medium lashes which to me are long for me but it gives you a pop! These feel absolutely natural!
