When I asked them about it, they said that they just put on twice as much paint in the 1 time they went around the house. Ummm... no. After calling the manager and having him come out and look, they said they would do a 2nd coat but they didn't do the 2nd coat in flat paint! So our house basically sparkles in the sunlight. I hate it. After just a couple weeks the paint on the 2 garage doors bubbled up. When the owner called my husband a few months later to ask about the job and see if there was other work that we needed to be done, my husband told him about the bubbled paint all over the garage doors. He told my husband to email him pictures and they would take care of it. So my husband did that and never heard from him again. Overall, I felt like they cut corners and didn't stand by their work. I'm regretting going with this company 100%.

Due to other renovations happening at the house, painting couldn't start till a couple months after. Miguel was in charge of most of the painting and he finished everything within my very tight timeline. With limited time they were still able to get multiple coats on our trims and it came out beautifully. They even painted our old heaters to match the rest of the house. The attention to detail was superb. They use paint from Sherwin Williams which was almost odorless when they were done. Martin also worked with me with my very tight budget. The other businesses in my area quoted my small 1000 sqft home for more than double the price Martin charged me. Overall, highly recommend!

Although Martin was very polite and responsive via text, when it came to following through on cleaning up the mess that the painters left, he completely stopped responding to us. Edgar and one other person did the work. The other person drove a car that left huge oil stains in the driveway of our new home (my husband requested I mention that). I'm not sure if one or both of them were totally incompetent at painting, but they left a mess after we did a walk through and did a ton of touch-up on the walls. I made the HUGE mistake of thinking all was good and headed off to continue packing at our old house, and left them and my husband as they cleaned up. After they removed the tape, there was bleed-through all over our beautiful new baseboards! As I looked around further, there was paint slopped on some of the windows and even the kitchen cabinets! So very unprofessional! Martin hadn't mentioned until the day they were starting and I was already at the house that he wanted cash, half up front. So daily we stopped at ATMs trying to accommodate him. It's been over a month since he texted saying they would come out that week to clean up the mess and he's not responding to me any longer. Now I've got the huge task of trying to figure out how to remove the paint without damaging the baseboards. Be warned, it seems they don't hire professional painters!

To provide an example of his customer-focus, Aaron painted our house right before we put it on the market. The night before it was due to be shown, a different contractor came in and pressure-washed into our siding. With rainscreen, that's a no-no. Aaron came right back out again at a moment's notice, and redid the areas where the paint had been impacted. No questions, no fuss, no haggling. And it looked great. We couldn't recommend him more strongly.

The power washing was thorough; the stain is nice and even; no stain got onto the white walls of our roof deck. If you asked me to evaluate Red Brush on the quality of their output alone, I wouldn't hesitate to give them a higher rating. But their communication is really, really bad. There were so many screw-ups in communication that I can't even remember all of them anymore. The big problem was that they would make changes or decisions without contacting us. Every time, we would have to call them to find out what was going on, usually because they missed their own deadlines. Some examples: 1) Our initial contact was great until we asked for a timeline, and then they stopped responding. I understand that contractors have flexible schedules by necessity (esp. due to weather), but they simply stopped communicating with us about it. We weren't able to get a response nailing down dates & times until the week prior. 2) Before they came to do the power washing, Red Brush told my wife that they would stop by "sometime over the weekend" to do color matching on the stain and collect a deposit. They did not specify when, so we were home all weekend waiting. They never showed up, never called, didn't answer their phones when we called. 3) We scheduled them to do a power washing on Monday 9/23, do a first stain on 9/24, and a second on 9/25. I took time off from work to be home for this. Halfway through the day on Monday, nobody had shown up, so I called them. Their office told me that they weren't actually planning to come out that day; they were going to do the power washing on 9/24 and the earliest they would be able to stain was 9/26. Had I not called, we never would have known. Wasted several vacation days. 4) After the first surprise, I repeatedly asked our contact in their main office to send me confirmations in writing via email. Every time, she promised to do this, but only actually did so 1 time out of 3-4 asks. This suggests to me that this communication weakness is a problem they know about and are not planning to fix. 5) They ended up not doing the second stain on 9/25 due to weather. It was pouring for several days, so that made perfect sense to us, but we asked them to let us known when they would be back. They agreed--and then never told us. I had no idea they'd been back at all until a couple days ago, I decided to check the deck, and the second coat was on it. ------------ If you are only looking for a quality product and do not need or care about the details, Red Brush might work for you. But if you're like me and expect a modicum of professionalism from the people you pay, it's hard to recommend them. Despite the quality work they did for us, I doubt we'll contact them next time.

We had a number of painters bid this job but they were either extremely high on their bids or otherwise not feeling like a good fit. Our house interior is challenging because it has some extremely high and angled ceilings with many architectural features throughout, i.e., nooks and crannies. I noticed Tony's reviews and can tell you there is a reason he has so many satisfied customers and five star reviews. We called him and he was out the next day to bid on the job. He is very personable and talking with him it was apparent he knows his craft and is passionate about painting. His bid was extremely competitive and even though it was high season for him (summer), he was able to fit us into his schedule quite nicely. The job turned out excellent and on time!
