    Beef Teriyaki
    Howard S.

The beef teriyaki with fried rice I purchased here was among the best I've had at a mall food hall. The beef was well cooked, tender, and tasty, and the fried rice was acceptable, but not "restaurant quality." The price was also reasonable. The man handing over the dish did not have great customer service skills. I'd get it again.

Located in food court of Stonebriar mall. Very Hip mall. Very much a food court type of standard. If you desire for sone authentic Japanese food, this is not the right place.

    Teriyaki chicken special ($6.50)

Came for the lunch special and was not let down. You can score their chicken teriyaki lunch special for less than $7 and it comes with rice, veggies, and a ton of chicken. The quantity is large and the food is consistent and tasty. Pro tip: Ask for extra sauce!

I went here for lunch on a week day. Their food is about what you would expect from a food court cuisine. I got the vegetable noodle for $5 + tax, which seems a little overpriced for some spaghetti and a little veg covered in soy sauce. The sushi had a generous amount of fish (iffy quality). The cashier was friendly, but the chefs not so much. It's probably better than Panda Express, though.

The irony of this store is that it's right next to Panda Express. The prices are about the same and on different days, they have specials so on Sunday, I was starving and a chicken teriyaki special filled me up! Yeah, they flattened the rice which you choose and then there's some veggies near the rice and finally a HEAPING mound of meat. Smack in the middle. Since it was the special, my meal was just $6. I was stuffed to the point where I wasn't even hungry for dinner! My friend got the beef bento box for $8 which she said was pretty good. I definitely come here again if I'm starving. It's the best bang for your buck when it comes to the food options at Stonebriar.

Be careful for up charged items

Very rude staff. Asked for fried rice to be put on seperate plate for my kids so they don't have to wait for the food to be cooked, as they were really hungry and was denied by both members of the staff. The chicken is mostly fat, overladen with massive amounts of msg - with the exception of the ones used for the samples. The only place in the state of Texas that charges sales tax on water. When u ask the staff why they state that it's their policy. It also happens to be their policy to charge a different amount for an item than the price states on their menu. So the bottle of water priced at 1.39 in the menu ends up costing $2.17

Mysterious bones found in my "chicken"

ZERO stars!!! Horrible experience here. I have eaten here a few times with no issues, but today my family went and I ordered chicken and shrimp teriyaki and found strange meat that had 6 strange little bones-thin and a couple inches long. The cook had no explanation of the mystery bones. I have been grossed out all day. Retuned the plate and was given a refund. I won't say what I thought it was, but I won't be eating there again...ever!! See the pic yourself and draw your own conclusion.

Located inside Stonebriar Centre Food Court. Recently opened and now offering a special - Chicken Terriyaki for $4.79, comes with Rice and Steam veggies. The chicken was really flavorable. Also offer a Deluxe Bento Box for $7.99 - includes Meat of your choice, assorted Tempura (Shrimp and veggies), California Rolls, Salad and Steam Rice. Add a medium drink for only $1.59 more.

They have your traditional sushi options and a lot of kitchen items as well, in case you don't care for sushi. Everything I've ordered here, however, has been really good, and you can't really go wrong. Their sashimi is really fresh, and their nigiri is also always spot on. I will always order tako wasabi anywhere I go that has it, so this was a must for me. The ikageso was also really good and cooked well. The squid was tender and not chewy like it can sometimes get when fried. I also tried one of their specialty items the last time I went, the yuzu hotachi. This was scallop and yellowtail with asparagus, garlic, micro cilantro greens, on a bed of this delicious yuzu creme brulee aioli sauce. The sauce was like nothing I've ever had before with the perfect amount of sweet and umami flavors. My goodness, this dish was so good, I could've eaten this all day. Overall, your bill can add up pretty quickly here, but it's a pretty solid sushi joint in this area.

We showed up with a party of 10 and they got us sat in roughly 20 minutes which I think was a fair amount of time for a Saturday 1:00pm time frame. Staff were all friendly and attentive. I got the pork cutlet omelet with cheese and spice level 7. My goodness, I inhaled that dish. We were coming up to fortworth for a thing and drove with some friends an extra 45 minutes in the opposite direction just to have this a second time on Sunday. Needless to say, I am a huge fan and will probably be driving out from San Antonio soon just for lunch here.

I came across this spot on Yelp where the reviews were glowing, though I will say the menu is a little confusing.... That holds true in person too, but thankfully there are photos to guide you, which helps a lot. Also worth noting, they offer 20 (twenty!!!) levels of spiciness, which feels both exciting and pretty intimidating. I went with the pork katsu curry with rice. The omelet dishes looked amazing too and I was tempted, but crispy curry & rice won the day. I told the waiter I wanted medium spice and said 5, and the server smiled and said he would give me a level 1. I laughed, but he knew exactly what he was doing because even level 1 had a solid kick. My hubby ordered the same dish with chicken and added veggies (and cheese(. He decided to be bold and went with a level 2. Honestly, mine might have even tasted spicier, but at that point it is all relative. We arrived around 4:45pm on a Saturday and it was easy to get seated. By the time we left, the place was completely packed and there was a line forming, which tells you everything you need to know. The pork was perfectly crispy, the rice had that ideal sticky texture, and the curry sauce was rich and generous. Every bite hit the spot.

Despite the name, the menu has way more than hand rolls and the sushi pieces are all exceptional and at affordable price points (as low as $3.85 per piece!).
