I've been going to the Windward location for many years and the service has declined within the last few months. The last few times there's been the same 2 workers male and female Asian workers working when I visit over the weekend. The cook is normally Mexican, and a great cook. Well anyway I was charged for an extra California roll that I didn't order and was told that I couldn't pay extra for the large drink which they normally give you the option. I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and salad dressing since the cook doesn't put extra. They wanted to charge extra for the extra sauce and half of portion cup of salad dressing. I normally order the same thing when I visit, teriyaki chicken bento box combo and maybe shrimp tempura. The male worker told me that I could only get the small drink with the combo and the female smirked. It's sad that people in the service industry act so ugly and unhappy with their job. Sad part I attempted to leave feedback on the company's website but it wouldn't allow me to submit y. You'd think they'd rather get the negative feedback and nip it in the bud, nope. The shrimp I got was raw and the beef just tasted bad. Everything was incredibly oily and greasy. I ended up getting sick about 30-45 minutes after from both ends and had to go to the hospital. I couldn't keep anything down and was vomiting blood. I will have to pay around $2,250 with insurance and $250 out of pocket. I recommend that you stay away from this establishment if you don't want food poisoning. read more

I would say the food was OK/pretty-good for "mall food". Service was fair, as there was a super long line and the plexi-glass barrier between you and the employee inhibited understanding each other. read more

For $6 and change...it's not bad street food. It's always tempting to compare mall food with the stuff you eat at a typical restaurant. (To be honest most of the Chinese restaurant in the area serve mediocre Chinese food. I should know since I cook mediocre Chinese food at home. So if the restaurant food taste like the stuff I cook at the house...I know their cooking skills has got to be on par with mine which is saying pretty low...) Sarku is pretty much what you would expect from a food court hibachi place. The food is cooked fresh right in front of you on an order-by-order basis, which I love. But, as is to be expected from mall hibachi, the quality of the meat is much lower than I would like. I always stick with the chicken as it's the safest option. If I'm really craving hibachi and I'm at the mall, I'll come here as a short-term solution and it isn't bad. But if you want the real deal, obviously go to one of the many full sit-down hibachi places nearby. read more

The portion size and flavor was okay. The steamed rice was flavorless and dominated the protein by a wide margin. The steamed vegetables were nearly as flavorless had it not been for the bitter aftertaste they presented. They were also of an overpowering quantity and I trashed more than half of the serving. My favorite mall food court place is Sarku. It's quite delicious for the price. You get variations like sometimes good veggies and sometimes not. Same with the chicken. Sometimes dry sometimes not. Same as if I cooked it myself :) Oh and the line can get ridiculously long!!! read more

This is bullshit!! How do you close the mall at 7:00 but this restaurant closed at 6:30 had 2 to go plates sitting off the grill not hot!!! Couldn't get extra teriyaki sauce. But they wanted regular price for the meals that were Pre boxed and I again couldn't have extra sauce because they said they were closed!!! Don't go here! They suck save your money for somewhere that will make your food how you want it!! Close is 7:00 not 6:30 for cleaning! It's a pandemic get some better customer service skills read more

After living in Hawaii and paying $15 for mediocre and small portions of food, $9 for double meat, steamed rice, veggies, and a drink is a bargain! You get so much food, and the sauce is incredible! BETTER OPTION THAN MOST This restaurant is located in the North Point food court. I absolutely love the dumplings that they have here. They are very flavorful and just delicious. When I want an entree, I order the veggies and chicken, no rice and no sauce. Since the food is well seasoned, the sauce is really unnecessary. My order is always accurate and prepared in a timely manner. Although they do have noodles here, I find them to be too heavy and oily, but I am not rating them since I don't eat them. I'm just addressing availability. The employees are always nice and they consistently have a roving host/hostess offering free samples. read more

A great go-to restaurant when you want something fairly healthy to eat and are hungry. We usually get the chicken teriyaki with vegetables and steamed rice for around $6. VERY tasty and VERY filling. This Sarku is located in the food court of North Point Mall. The employees are very friendly and the food is very delicious. The drinks are enormous and there is plenty of food on one plate to split with another person. I usually tip 1-2 dollars. Best place to eat in the food court! read more
