Located amongst numerous hotels this store is a great option within walking distance to pick up liquor, beverages, snacks, and frozen prepared foods, or any number of supplies, there is also ample roof parking. The Deli though was not appealing and at 7pm during my visit unmanned, and the checkout horribly understaffed with a dozen plus customers waiting at each cashier so that numerous lines snaked into the aisles. It looked to be well stocked, and an attractive space, but I left without making a purchase because of the lack of cashiers. In my case the purchase would have been for food and beverages, but instead I opted for granola bars that I had packed in my luggage. I noticed via other reviews that a lack of staffing is a frequent reported issue so patience will be required if shopping here.

Definitely order ahead if you're short on time. Food: I ordered the Naples sandwich. It has Oven roasted turkey, provolone cheese, herb aioli, bacon, tomato, arugula on focaccia. Super delicious and decent size. The menu has plenty of sandwiches to choose from. I would recommend this one, but would try another one because why not? Service/Ambiance: The service is quick and all of the staff is friendly. I would recommend Olives Gourmet Grocer. It is a perfect place to go to if you're going to the beach or having a picnic.

Long before the invasion of 7-Elevens, these small corner markets kept neighborhoods thriving. I was really impressed by their selection: beef jerky in a jar, unique beverages you won't find at typical convenience stores, and homemade goods and sandwiches. I even picked up a loaf of sourdough bread made in San Diego. The breakfast burrito was good, though not quite in the legendary tier. It was generously packed with eggs and small pieces of avocado. Their hot sauce had a nice kick, but I definitely could have used a bit more of it on the burrito. Service was great. The owner asked if I needed help finding anything, and when I told him I was just browsing, he didn't pressure me at all. He simply pointed out a cooler behind the counter with even more beverage options, including Shasta soda in the mix.

They had a beautiful selection of fresh meat and seafood, the prepared foods items were piled high and looked appetizing in their case, and produce was fresh and good looking. They also carry many top organic and gluten free food brands, health and wellness products and freshly prepared juices at the juice bar. They even offer freshly baked cookies in the bakery, kept on a warming tray. The aroma was crazy! This time we decided to grab lunch from their hot and cold bar. It was the only miss, in my opinion. The roast vegetables, baked herb chicken drumsticks, and tofu peanut slaw were moist and fairly tasty, but the entree selections featured an Asian theme and they were mediocre - spicy Asian vegetables, beef and broccolini, kung pao chicken, whitefish in sauce. My daughter chose mostly from the salad bar and she enjoyed hers. Their poke bar looked more appetizing, but I don't think I would return for that. The only other negative was no toilet paper in any of the women's restroom stalls.

The majority of the staff I have encountered--outside of one kind gentleman who is technically a third-party representative and not directly employed by the Aldi brand--have been truly unprofessional. Although there is no excuse for this behavior, it does not appear to stem from dissatisfaction with their jobs. In fact, many of the employees seem content. Rather, it is the attitude and manner in which certain clientele are treated that comes across as distasteful and disrespectful. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed and experienced childish tactics from employees. This has included making comments such as, "You better move out of the way," as customers are navigating the aisles. There have also been instances where employees appeared to aggressively toss or move boxes directly beside customers as they were attempting to pass by. While I understand that inventory stocking occurs throughout the day, there are professional standards and common courtesy practices that should be maintained during business hours. From time to time, there are also aggressive customers who behave as though they are entitled to bully others simply because they believe they can. Example: The cart return area has three lines for customers to choose from. On one of these occasions, I was placing my cart back and gathering my groceries when, out of nowhere, I saw another customer mad-dashing toward where I was standing. She then aggressively started yelling, name-calling, shouting, and scoffing in the most unladylike fashion. She gestured that she needed to return her cart; mind you, there were two or three other lanes that were open and available. Yet, she was insistent upon badgering me to drop everything I was doing during my grocery experience to appease her ill repute. Absolutely not. I am unsure whether she may have been attempting to scam me, as she was desperately trying to get me to leave my fully loaded shopping cart unattended, exposing my wallet and groceries. The security who had been on duty and watching the incident did nothing to prevent further harassment. Noting, a continuation of "selective" targeting and job performance. I've also noticed that some of the security will abandon their position to go stand in certain areas of the store and touch store product. I found this odd as I do not see how that is conducive to their "supposed" role of providing safety. Unfortunately, the negative attitudes displayed by some employees seem to mirror this same energy, creating an unnecessarily uncomfortable shopping environment. Nonetheless, I genuinely enjoy the Aldi brand and appreciate the products they offer. For that reason, I will likely continue shopping at this location. However, it would be in Aldi's best interest to address the conduct of some of the individuals representing the business. Improved professionalism, stronger customer service standards, and greater accountability would significantly enhance the overall shopping experience.
