I love that you can do any type of riding and be accepted. I obviously can't ride my pony so I drive her instead. The big arena helps that I can get my pony to a extended trot.

I am currently a boarder at Alpine Stables and have had no problems. It has proven to be a very…read morecommunity and family oriented barn for different horses, riders, and skill sets. Premium stalls include a large grassy turnout and enclosed stall, the next level is one of two sizes of enclosed stalls, the third of boarding is a 13 acre pasture which also has covered space. The owners, Valerie and Bob, are really great about making sure they meet all of their boarder's needs. To do so they also create a more "custom" housing. For owners of multiple horses they create larger pens or paddocks - with or without cover- based on the unique needs of the horses. Riding wise, you have a standard round pen, grassy area with obstacles, a large arena, and a smaller arena. A second covered round pen is available but is sometimes in use for the 7 day quarantine all new horses are subject to when moving into Alpine Stables. Trailer parking is free. There are tons of chairs and tables and grassy areas for families to hang out. Most weekends there are tons of families around relaxing and watching the riders. Again, very family oriented barn. The new barn manager, Rochelle is excellent has brought much attention to detail, new services, and horse experience to the place. Randy is equally as great with a "can-do" attitude and experience. I personally enjoy Alpine Stables because of the friendliness of the boarders. Everyone is constantly sharing and helping each other, just genuinely enjoying horses as they are meant to be enjoyed. Personally, I have always enjoyed boarding at my own home away from people but I find myself being excited to go to the barn and ride with the new friends I have made.

Took my2 year old mini there for some training, said he needed to also be boarded so that she could work with him daily...said he would be watched 24/7...actually took my mini horse there, left him behind an unsecured fence ( the bottom was completely curled up and the top metal post was not attached properly) next to two large horses ( that I found out later were not hers, were just a borders) over night and left. The next morning I get a call at 7AM the the two big horses knocked down the fence and trampled my mini. At first she tried to play it off like he was fine, just a small puncture wound( diagnosing when she is not a vet) and thought I should still keep him there with her and in training. However when a vet arrived, the vet called me and told me a much different story on his injury. His puncture wound basically severed his leg to his body. He had to be taken to ER where a surgeon told me even if they were able to repair it, it would continue to separate and he would have a poor quality of life, they recommended he be put down. Now mind you the surgeon told me he gets a lot of his business from Kwick ranch, so he did not want to say anything negative about them. But did say I would have to pay for him to be put down and cremated as the $8,000 surgery would no repair it enough and puncture was so deep, that he was concerned of a infection. Also the bone could not be repaired where it would not keep popping out and affecting him or causing additional surgeries. THe trainer was told all of this and took NO responsibility. Her words were " You were aware of the risks associated with training...." He was not training at the time. He was STOMPED to the point that he had to be PUT DOWN in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT by two horses being boarded by KWIK RANCH, and even though it was horses border by KWIK ranch and the faulty fence belongs to KWIK ranch, the owner also took no responsibility. Not even an apology. I have all photos, texts, emails everything if anyone would like to see them. Indluding photos of the fence on the ground, which was broken by the two horses and pics of the fence before it was knocked down, showing that the bottom was completely curled up and not attached to the ground. Why would anyone even put minis next to two large horses that are not even theirs? Leave unattended over night. WHere were the owners of Kwik ranch while my horse was being stomped!!! Must have made some noise! Oh that's right, he was not directly boarded with KWIK ranch because their Border was subletting and not telling new clients that she is not actually employed and work for KWIK ranch. WHat a great loophole for them both to get out of responsibility for this. STAY FAR FAR AWAY, he is not the only horse injured due to fencing, bad judgment, and carelessness.
