Took my2 year old mini there for some training, said he needed to also be boarded so that she could work with him daily...said he would be watched 24/7...actually took my mini horse there, left him behind an unsecured fence ( the bottom was completely curled up and the top metal post was not attached properly) next to two large horses ( that I found out later were not hers, were just a borders) over night and left. The next morning I get a call at 7AM the the two big horses knocked down the fence and trampled my mini. At first she tried to play it off like he was fine, just a small puncture wound( diagnosing when she is not a vet) and thought I should still keep him there with her and in training. However when a vet arrived, the vet called me and told me a much different story on his injury. His puncture wound basically severed his leg to his body. He had to be taken to ER where a surgeon told me even if they were able to repair it, it would continue to separate and he would have a poor quality of life, they recommended he be put down. Now mind you the surgeon told me he gets a lot of his business from Kwick ranch, so he did not want to say anything negative about them. But did say I would have to pay for him to be put down and cremated as the $8,000 surgery would no repair it enough and puncture was so deep, that he was concerned of a infection. Also the bone could not be repaired where it would not keep popping out and affecting him or causing additional surgeries. THe trainer was told all of this and took NO responsibility. Her words were " You were aware of the risks associated with training...." He was not training at the time. He was STOMPED to the point that he had to be PUT DOWN in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT by two horses being boarded by KWIK RANCH, and even though it was horses border by KWIK ranch and the faulty fence belongs to KWIK ranch, the owner also took no responsibility. Not even an apology. I have all photos, texts, emails everything if anyone would like to see them. Indluding photos of the fence on the ground, which was broken by the two horses and pics of the fence before it was knocked down, showing that the bottom was completely curled up and not attached to the ground. Why would anyone even put minis next to two large horses that are not even theirs? Leave unattended over night. WHere were the owners of Kwik ranch while my horse was being stomped!!! Must have made some noise! Oh that's right, he was not directly boarded with KWIK ranch because their Border was subletting and not telling new clients that she is not actually employed and work for KWIK ranch. WHat a great loophole for them both to get out of responsibility for this. STAY FAR FAR AWAY, he is not the only horse injured due to fencing, bad judgment, and carelessness.

Sierra Barns and Corrals - I fired them when they asked for payment prior to completion

They kept giving me excuses and said the parts were back ordered. In April I sent a "Notice to Cure" letter which demanded a refund or parts delivered. Neither was done. I fired the company in Dec of 2019 when they asked for more money prior to completion. I would love to get the remaining barn parts or some cash back but really want to make sure no one else falls prey to this. I lost money and time as well as having to pay board on my own horses. This was supposed to be a clinic space for my business.

I left a 2500.00 payment witch would cover the cost of the first two fronts. At four weeks I started calling, to find out when I would receive the first two stall fronts. They came out with part of the first front, missing track, rollers hardware. I asked when I would receive the other front. He said the end of next week. I waited until the following week, called about the front and he said materials should be in a couple days, asked again, when to expect and again, a couple days. I waited until the next week, drove in, (not returning phone calls) and asked about fronts, he said material need to be picked up. I told him I wanted a refund on the second front, he said he does not have the money. I told him I want my fronts at my place in two weeks, or a refund. Not holding my breath.

Facility: Not sure why it is called English Rose Farm. It should be renamed English Junk Yard…read more There are over ten non-operable vehicles scattered around the property. Parking is a challenge because of all the unmovable vehicles. When you walk into the barn, it isn't any better. Chicken poop is everywhere. Horse tack is lying around on the floor, on the bench, and all over the crosstie area. There are dirty dishes on the table. Food wrappers are on the floor and in the arena. No restroom. However, there is a portable toilet that you must pay to use each month. Each time my children rode a horse, she had to search for the tack because it was rarely in the same place. Instruction and Supervision: The first few lessons were decent. The instructor showed my child how to groom and tack the horse. After the third lesson, the instructor expected my child to retrieve the horse from the pasture, groom, tack, and warm up unsupervised. As the parent, I was expected to help my child get the horse ready.... Not my idea of quality supervision or a safe environment. While my child was grooming the pony, the pony pawed at the floor. The owner/instructor picked up a grooming brush and threw it at the pony. The sudden noise scarred all of us. Then, the owner/instructor picked up a whip and walked toward the pony when it continued to paw. That was enough for me. This was not a positive environment for my child or the pony. When we spoke about the situation, the owner made excuses for her behavior and then got defensive with me. We left and never came back. I would NOT recommend this facility or instructor. There are much better horse-riding/lesson facilities in the area that supervise the children when handling a horse.
