Stopped in to have wine and appetizers. Once again, not disappointed. My husband enjoyed the Stuffed Shrimp and I ordered the Smoked Salmon Italiano. We enjoyed a bottle of 2011 Robert Mondavi Oakville Cab. Quite delicious. Friendly staff with prompt service :) read more

I highly recommend the tagliatelle bolognese - very authentic to dishes I've had in Italy. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the staff and service were excellent! We took the kids and had a great meal there. read more

We were told our pizza will get in 30 to 45 minutes. It took them 1h and 30 minutes to deliver. Pizza came in lukewarm and I have called to talk to the manager but I never gotten a call back. When I called after an hour to remind them on my pizza, the person on the phone said there's not much they can do. Very poor customer service if you ask me. read more

Amazing service! Came in at 6pm on a Friday and the customer service was amazing. Fresh breadsticks and salad, constant refills, and unlimited amount of kindness. Their atmosphere is relaxing with dimmed lights and candles, and although the menu is a little $$ it was definitely worth it. Didn't encounter a single problem at this restaurant! read more

Went for wife's birthday. Had GPS problem finding it, once there it was nice. She had a very good lasagna and I veal capresse (sp) in Alfredo sauce that was terrific. Wine made it perfect. They comped us a very nice Sunday desert. Nice salad too. Attentive service. read more

The service was amazing, even as my group and I did some questionable things. We had a great conversations with most of the staff and they were super diligent on refilling our breadsticks, which are possibly the best breadsticks in existence. All the pasta was really good and came with large enough portions to justify anything other people think is too high a price for the food. read more

Ordered just a plan cheese hand tossed pizza. Took over 85 min to get it delivered and then it was wrong and cold.

I wouldn't visit here again. We knew there were mixed reviews but weren't expecting it to be like this. There was nothing bad about the food per say, it just was underwhelming and we could have chosen something better and spent much less. Plan to go somewhere else if you want Italian food while in the dells! read more

Let me start by saying it WAS delivery, and usually it's not AS good as a sit down but....... The order was wrong, the kids meals were missing items (meatballs), my friends order had little to zero sauce on his meatball sandwich, my carpaccio was an embarrassment. Can't believe they called it that. I also ordered a "Margharita " pizza......hah! If you like Pizza Hut or Dominos, order from here......I only give a one rating because I could not leave a zero. read more

As always, great service from the moment we walked in the door, and our departure. The appetizers we had, ravioli and carpaccio were delicious along with the Caesar salad. The canlonni was a perfect dessert. Mario, thank you. Next time we will definitely have the veal picatta. It will be on a Tuesday, we love the live music! read more

It was ok, service was solid, ambiance was good, but even though the food was fine, I've had better at Olive Garden. This use to be an upscale restaurant with a classier clientele and a much better menu. read more

Food was OK but was really expensive for what it is. Breadsticks were good, Caesar salad was fantastic. I got linguini with clam sauce, sauce was creamy and didn't really go well with the clams. The spaghetti was good though. 3 stars for food, 2 for the price. Was $100+ for 2 kids and 2 adults. read more

Wasn't impressed with the pizza. Seemed like it was frozen and then reheated instead of made fresh.

Review would be better except for: 1. $7.95 salad was small and had very little dressing. Parmesan cracker with it was very good. High price for a small salad. 2. A $24.20 14" split pizza did not qualify as an entree which could have reduced the price of the salad. Really? When asked about this the manager was fairly rude and said it was explicitly written in the menu that a pizza was not an entree. Untrue. 3. Waiter was aloof, unsmiling, hard to understand, and unfriendly. The helpers were much more pleasant. Unless you want an $8 small salad, unfriendly waiter, and a nearly $25 pizza, I would skip it. The manager obviously does not care about repeat business. read more

OK, so we're in the Dells--not Chicago. Hold your expectations very low and you'll be pleasantly surprised. We got the linguine with clam sauce, calamari, and lasagna. All were more than passable. Prices were relatively reasonable. The atmosphere is fine, almost nice. The service was quite decent; everyone was nice and attentive. I'd return if in the mood for Italian. read more

Much better than the yelp reviews would lead you to believe. Stuffed shrimp and pizza were excellent. Good service and a casual atmosphere.

The restaurant is beautiful, dimly lit and very romantic. The staff was great and very attentive. The food was terrible. The best part of our meal was the bread sticks (they weren't good) and oil. Chicken alfredo was terrible and had no taste. My husband had chicken Marsala and my son had spaghetti and meatballs, both taste like they were out of a can. Olive Garden's food was ten times better than here and that's not saying much. Extremely over priced for the quality of food given. read more

Went with four adults and five kids. While I felt a little bad for the neighboring tables, there were plenty of kids at tables throughout. The food is a little old school. They gave us slightly greasy garlic bread sticks to start. I had the Mediterranean chicken, which was tasty but a bit too rich for my tastes. The starter salad was very plain but a nice enough touch. The service was very friendly and they did everything possible to keep the kids happy. Overall, given the location and the prices, this is a good spot for a grownups meal. read more

Relatively unfriendly when greeting us at the host's table. Didn't have any bread option other than breadsticks. Why? Our server was not using common sense during the ordering process to allow us to look at the menu and take time before asking multiple times if we wanted to order. Our server also forgot to bring silverware at first as well as the smaller plates for appetizers even though she delivered the appetizers first. These are some pretty basic mistakes for a place that charges as much as this one. Overall, we would have expected a bit better, smoother experience. Food was overall good. The bar and the ambiance of the restaurant was also good. read more

Just the right amount of fancy for the family. Kids eat free with adult meal. Take the wilderness shuttle and don't worry about two bottles of wine! read more

Went to dinner for a bachelorette party, had a relatively large group. The food and service were both fantastic. By the time waters were half way down they'd be refilled. There was also a guy singing and playing music which made for a nice atmosphere read more

Ordered food for delivery, was told it would be 35-45 min, after multiple calls to determine the status of the food, the food arrived almost two hours after ordering. The food was not very warm, but at that point we were all starving. Would never order from there again! Called to receive a discount the following day, as it was later in the evening, to be told that a manager would call me back, never did. Great service.......never will be back. read more

The best part of this place is the food (it's an Italian eatery), as it should be. It's a pretty casual place but if you were to dress up a little bit it wouldn't be a bad idea. The atmosphere is more upscale than other restaurants around the area, the only down point I can think of is that the menu isn't as large as I expected it to be. If they were to expand it that would be awesome but either way people still pack in. They have a huge bar, and on certain nights live music which is very laid back. The night I went there was a guy playing the guitar and the piano and singing songs from the 70s. I figured that even though it defiantly was sit by the bar and relax music, something more Italian or upscale would have fit the place better. The prices are slightly hefty as well but I suppose that's to be expected, I can't think of any sit down Italian places that have super cheap food. read more

Average prices. I had chicken Marsala and it was just alright. Good breadsticks. Pizza or pasta only. Spaghetti type choices, sort of limited menu. The do have a kids menu. read more

I went here with a friend and we got the pizza, which was delicious. The only complaint I have, is that we felt like we were being looked down upon for being younger. The host seated us in the downstairs area along with a bunch of other teens like ourselves. My experience could have been better if I was treated like an adult. read more

The food was the best. The service was very good. Our waiter was very good at his job. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Dells.

Stayed at Glacier Canyon Lodge and the check in guys recommended. We ordered pizza delivery for dinner a few nights ago and it was wonderful, so decided to go in person after a long day of swimming when we needed carbs. Took the whole family including children and the service was impeccable. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and was so impressed--it was truly marvelous. Husband ordered chicken parmigiana and he loved it. Kids had spaghetti and meatballs and they said it was wonderful. Salads and breadsticks were done well. read more

The service could not have been better and the food was good and served nice and hot. Will def return!!

Food was good. Service was very good. Problem was we were three adults and were seated in an area surrounded by young children. That is server 101 Never do that read more

We eat here 12 years ago didn't like it gave it another try today and wow everything was delicious the best bread I ever ate and cheese bead was delicious and the shrimp appetiser I got Was so good highly recommend eating here read more

Spacious and attractive building. Service well above expectations for this type of restaurant. I had a crab and shrimp stuffed cantilloni (not sure on spelling. ). Quite unique. Wine menu was below par for an otherwise very well appointed family friendly restaurant. read more

We went out with another family for a decent dinner. Sarento's was a good choice because of the standard 15% off coupon (whole bill) that they have. The prices are typical dells, overpriced compared to non tourist traps, but the food is a fair value. The interior is very well done, traditional Italian. Good lighting levels for a more intimate dinner. The children's menu is more diverse than other places, giving picky eaters more options and frustrated parents a chance to pick something besides mac and cheese, pizza, and chicken nuggets. The veal was done well, as was the lamb. The house chianti is pleasant enough as well, and they stock Peroni - a default half star bump in my book! read more

Disappointing. No better way to describe. Best thing was the bread. All downhill from there. They ran out of sauce to do the Mediterranean pizza we ordered. Veal was just edible, no taste. I don't mind expensive if tasty, but this was too expensive for food that is tasteless. Service is slow, although friendly. Would not go there again. Bad experience altogether. read more

We live in Dells and that night decided to try something new. We do really love Italian food and lots of people were saying that it's a good place for dinner. We were a little disappointed especially with the food quality.:( liked live music though. Got good service from everyone except our waiter read more

I read numerous negative reviews of this place before eating there. We wanted pasta (carbo loading for a race the next day), and this was the only Italian place available. The other one was closed. The food was absolutely fine! It wasn't bad at all. The price, however, was out of line with the quality. Too expensive. I suspect that is the root of so many negative reviews. The food was good, just not anything special. Of course, this is a tourist town, and all prices are inflated everywhere around here. So, no complaints. read more

Always great food one of my favorite local spots to go! Me and my friends love Thursday nights there for half price apps! Just got delivery for the first time and it was faster then most places around! Thanks for always being awesome Sarentos crew! read more

We arrived early and were promptly seated. Service was good. I had linguine with clams, my favorite Italian dish. Good but a little to rich with the cream. Wife had special seafood stuffed cannelloni which was very good. Again very rich with the cream. Bread was hot an fresh. read more

It was our 6th anniversary so decided to try Sarento's after hearing great reviews from locals as well as reading some not so good on-line. We had reservations for 5:45 and were seated promptly. They offered a table and I asked for a booth and we were happily seated after it was wiped and redressed. Our beverage order was taken after only a moment and brought out swiftly along with piping hot bread sticks with olive oil and the server proceeded to take our order. I did think it was odd that balsamic vinegar was not on the table with the oil but all I did was ask and it arrived. We started with the Calamari Sarento and were very impressed with it. It was absolutely delicious and we will definitely have it again! Next came our salads. He had a house salad which he said was delicious "for a house salad". I opted to add on the Caprese Salad and it was perfect. The mozzarella was chilled, the tomatoes were firm and the basil was fresh. There were slivers of purple onion which gave it a nice flavor and it was also drizzled with a thick balsamic reduction. He ordered the traditional lasagna and I choose the Tagliatelle Bolognese. The lasagna was in deed traditional and delicious, I had a small bite and he exclaimed how tasty it was. My dinner was outstanding. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was decadent but not too heavy and the flavor overall was out of this world. We also ordered a tiramisu which was actually complimentary since it was our anniversary. Our entire experience was very pleasant and professional but not stuffy. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 stars is because there was one female table assistant who didn't smile or really acknowledge us the entire time she was near our table. She filled our water glassed a few times and both times I thanked her but she didn't look at me or say anything in response. The whole time we were in the restaurant she never smiled once. However, upon our departure she said something in a small voice and smiled. I actually couldn't make it out. I'm assuming she said thank you. Other than that once small thing, our dining experience was one of the best. read more
