Our troop was super hungry for some 'za on our first night in the Dells this year, so with a little bit of Yelp researching, we found Pizza Pub! With a great location, right on the main strip through the Dells, Pizza Pub is easy to find. Since it was a nice evening, temperature-wise, we chose to sit outdoors. (In the end, this came back to bite us, due to bugs...but, that's not anyone at Pizza Pub's fault.). They have a large indoor dining room, and also a pretty large patio with seating overlooking the busy Dells strip. Quick tip here: while nice to be outside, do know that if you are noise-averse, you should probably opt for indoor seating due to the very close proximity of the seats to the literal road. They have a really large menu of all the typical pizza options. Our "special ask" was to split the pizza in half by specialties, which they accommodated with a smile! The pizza came out fairly quick, and we polished it off quickly! We opted for pan-style, and all at our table agreed that they dough was, quite possibly, the best highlight of the meal! Our water was a polite young man, but maybe was either new, or a bit inattentive, as he goofed a couple times with our dining experience: he tried to deliver the incorrect pizza to us, and he refilled one of our drinks with the incorrect beverage. We were hangry and looking for a local spot, so we gave Pizza Pub a shot. Glad we stayed... kinda. The pizza was the highlight--toppings were generous, plenty of cheese, and served piping hot from the oven. The tossed pan crust was definitely the best. The thin crust was a bit chewy but still flavorful thanks to the toppings. We got 2 large and 1 medium for our group and had plenty of leftovers. Also tried the cheese curds (because, Wisconsin), and they were decent. The chicken tenders? Meh--would skip those next time. Didn't try the salad bar. Now, the not-so-great: when we first walked in, there was this strong urinal cake smell that was hard to ignore. Thankfully it didn't carry through the rest of the restaurant, but it definitely set a weird tone. The tables were a bit sticky, too. We love the Pizza Pub! Our family has been frequenting this place annually for 30+ years. It's certainly expanded quite a bit over the years. The Pizza Pub delivers to many of the hotels in the area and is also large enough to accommodate groups relatively quickly. The prices are fair so if you're on a budget, great place for dinner. We complained and we were told basically too bad. Our server took our complaint to the manager but the manager refused to make the situation right. Our server took the full plates of food off of our table and knew we did not eat any of the foods that should have been hot. Despite our complaint the manager refused to do anything about it. We went to Pizza Pub on Mother's Day, 2023 for their lunch buffet, which is offered every day from 11 am to 2 pm. We arrived on the earlier side (11:30 am). The number of patrons was quite small when we arrived. It picked up over the next half-hour. The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet is $13.99, and does NOT include drinks. It does, however, include lots of food options. PIZZA. (Rating: 3.5/5). There were many to choose from. They were cut in small pieces so you could try many of the flavor combinations, and they were replenished regularly. At one point, there were about 10 -11 pizzas out (whereas there were only 5-6 earlier, when there were fewer patrons). There were plain cheese pizzas; chicken-broccoli; pepperoni; Hawaiian (ham and pineapple); sausage; and more. *Almost all of the pizzas were thin-crust but there was one thick-crust pepperoni pizza every time we checked. *There were limited veggie-only options. We would've loved to have seen a veggie-rich pizza with loads of veggies (say, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and olives). *All pizzas had a red tomato sauce base. There were no pizzas with a white base. *The taste of the pizzas was good but not exceptional. PASTA/SAUCES (3/5). The buffet bar also included some pasta choices, including spaghetti, noodles, meat sauce, white sauce, mac-and-cheese, and Italian bread. It included a good variety of fresh salad items, including 2 types of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, etc. Plus, there were prepared salads, including macaroni salad and potato salad. Lots of salad dressing choices. Sunflower seeds. bacon bits. Marinated olives. Croutons. Italian bread, crackers, breadsticks, butter, and more. There were also two soups -- one creamy (yummy!) and one broth-based. I liked everything except the Macaroni salad (did it have tuna in there?) DESSERTS (2/5). The buffet had a few dessert options. There were two dessert pizzas - one made with blueberry filling and the other with cherry. (The latter was quite tart). There were also some things like puddings and jello available on the buffet. VALUE. (5/5). There was a lot of good variety for the $13.99 price tag. A few additional notes. 1. The items on the salad bar were not labeled. We couldn't ascertain what a few of the items were, nor could we tell if any of the salad dressing were low-fat. 2. Our server was very good. She checked on us regularly. 3. Currently here for lunch. I asked for a table before they stuck us in a booth. I asked the waiter for a table and he asked the 1st guy, we waited for maybe 2 mins and he came back. The 1st guy had him sit us in the back of the restaurant. nobody is here but us. The main dining area is full with customers and there are open tables in there. I purchased a pan crust and I felt is was more dough than cheese and sauce. Toppings were an abundance and I loved that! The only issue is the flavor and it could've bc it Wisconsin. I will say traveling to different places the flavors are different. Some restaurants don't overly season based on their demographics. If it want for rushing, I left in my hotel fridge, I would've brought it back home for my kids. I will say that if I didn't have an extensive palette (for pizza) I would have given it 5 stars. Was here for lunch buffet. Pizza was over cooked and had little flavor. Crust of pizzas on buffet were really thin, dry and very crunchy. Just a lot of greasy cheese. Salad bar was very disappointing. Significant parts of the greens were bad. Don't even try the pasta. tables close to us waited for a very long time before a server came to take their orders. Music was quiet and not over powering, thankfully. The girl taking pizzas to the buffet was really nice and made sure that I knew when a particular pizza came out. I have had Pizza Pub through their free delivery and physically at the location. Food: I would say it's an average to above average taste. It is relatively good for the price. There is a nice variety of items on the menu, so even a picky eater is likely to find something they would enjoy. Location: Everyone I came in contact with was extremely polite. The server was very attentive by keeping beverages topped off and removing dishes as our party finished our meal. There was an issue on the bill that was easily adjusted by the manager without issue. This is a place to come. Delivery: As expected, the delivery drivers are very familiar with where they are delivering. After all they do it every day! This part was very important to me- when on vacation you typically don't know the address off the top of your head. You likely need to find your room number and even more likely could not offer any directions. Pizza Pub and their drivers make it extremely smooth for your food to be delivered. Our bartender Alexis was awesome and did a great job keeping up with us, making great drinks and shots (I highly recommend her take on the Green Tea shot)! The cheese bread, garlic parmesan, and pub spuds were served hot and delicious, ideal for sharing! The 1/2 rack of ribs was huge, fall of the bone tender and with a tangy sauce. The broccoli side was steamed perfectly, and the mashed potatoes were a good size and compliment to the ribs. The meatball sub was a nice size, with the meatballs being nice and juicy. We were introduced to this place by our friends who insist on coming here every time they go to the Dells, and understandably so. I would highly recommend stopping here. Anyway, they have pizza (gasp!) and they have a salad bar and it's all pretty good. It's got that dark 1970's wooden Shakey's / Barnaby's vibe, if that makes any sense. The thin crust pizza is quite good. We haven't tried the pan style, so I'll leave that to you. The salad bar features two types of lettuce, good olives, a number of dressings and other stuff (pudding, cottage cheese, pasta salads, meat snacks). It doesn't get a song from me (I'm out of songs for now), but it doesn't get a tirade either. Yay! Service depends upon who they hired that season, but it's been mostly good to great in my jaded memory. If you like photogenic pizza or pubs or salads, this might be right up your alley. read more

Pizza Pub is ok. If there were options for 1/2 stars I would give it 3.5 stars. The pizza is good. The salad bar is generous but sometimes there are wilted or shriveled items (lettuce, cherry tomatoes) from sitting out too long without being refreshed. The delivery service is reliable and fairly timely depending on the day. I live nearby so I have been here several times and also order delivery. Now the staff are mediocre, reception is lackluster and sometimes one has the impression that they wished you had not arrived to cause more work. Should I ever arrive and be greeted with a smile and a "good evening Sir, welcome to Pizza Pub!" Someone would have to call an ambulance as I'd be in a state of shock. Ambience is not bad, tables and booths afford privacy and are not cramped together. An interior refresh would probably help with the musty smell in some areas of the dining room but overall, it is ok. read more

Ok so most of the time I don't publically talk bad about a business but this one really got me because of the complete lack of customer service and the fact that we literally drove to Wisconsin Dells just to eat at Pizza Pub-Wisconsin Dells On Father's Day we drove 2 hours to get some broasted chicken and more importantly the salad bar. We were on their site the night prior and saw the weekly specials and on Sundays it was the chicken and all weekly specials came with the salad bar included. We got to pizza pub and it was pretty empty, we sat down and ordered our drinks. Looking over the menu we didn't see the weekly specials so I asked the waitress and she said they no longer offered the daily specials. If we wanted the salad bar we had to pay $8.99 on top of the $17.99 price for the chicken plate. I personally think that's a huge add on but whatever, however I just briefly said "oh I saw on the site the special" She stated that is was no longer correct and walked off to give us time to look over the menu. About a minute later she came back and said. "Can you show me where you saw it on the website so we can take it down". I pulled up the site by going to google and searching for "pizza pub daily specials" and it was the first link. Clicked on it and showed her. She went and grabbed two different managers to show them. They asked me to show them and both said they couldn't find it on their site on their phones even though I showed them step by step how to. They didn't show me their phones though, then both kept them somewhat covered. I walked them both through the steps to show them and asked the managers "so can you value this price since it's still public" both of them said no very rudely. Now it is what it is BUT HERE IS THE PART THAT INFURIATED ME! As they were standing there I did the search one more time and the link that was active, was no longer. This means as they were standing there talking to me, one of them was deleting the page from the site RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! I was pissed and told them well we are leaving and we will just pay for our sodas, which none of us had taken a drink of except maybe Bailey. We still had to pay $10 for the drinks. I will absolutely never return to this place as it's not the price, it's the principle of the matter that they came back to our table and said "show us so we can delete it" without even offering the value it. Both of the men that came to the table were very rude and almost tried to make us feel like we did something wrong finding the TOP SEARCH RESULT. Then to literally delete the page off the site right in front of us even thought they said "we don't see that page" right after I walked them step by step how I found it. Also while I'm typing this I just did a search again and the page is back up but has a different URL. As a web designer I notice stuff like that. We weren't asking for our meal to be free, we just wanted the included salad bar as stated on the website. This was a major letdown and really put a damper on Father's Day and our day trip to the Dells. Thankfully we went to Ponderosa Wisconsin Dells and had some of the best customer service I've ever had at a buffet. read more
