Ok.. so this is how it started:
We as a family of 4 walk in to this restaurant and started checking the buffet menu. Almost everything was chinese but they still call it south Indian buffet just because they included rice, sambar & a curry.
Food looked impressive so we started our dinner or should I say total nightmare
The starters were ice cold so we called the waiter to check and without even investigating his response was its because of Aircon. Hang on mate, you are in The UK and its raining heavily outside. Infact, The restaurant had heater on so no wonder tge waiter was trained well on the script he used.
Now comes the maincourse. Veg noodles were litterally stinking and the poppadums were the same so thus time we called tge Manager hoping someone will apologise but no way, we were shocked to hear him say everything is fresh even before we complained. In total we ordered 2 x adult buffet, 1 x child buffet and an Rava Dosa. We left the table without eating anything and as a courtesy I asked on our way out anything we need to pay? & the response was very quick by a so called Manager named Darshini yes sir, 3 adult buffet, 1 child buffet & 1 rava dosa. We were shocked to hear this and asked them why would they want to charge 3 adult buffets when we only had 2 adult buffets. The lady started shouting we dont charge by what customers say, we charge by what the waiter says. By this time a team of 5 other staff members sorrounded us as if we were running away. I asked my wife to go and sit in the car as my little one who is just 3 yr old started crying. Darshini told us that my family cant leave before we pay. Extremely rude and unacceptable behaviour!!
I asked my wife to just go and dont worry about anyone so my wife left the restaurant along with my kids. Now I told Darshini that I refuse to pay a single penny do what u want. I was about to call the police but just then a nice gentleman who claimed he was the head chef came out from nowhere and apologised and told me its ok dont pay. I still paid for 1 adult buffet and rava dosa. I asked for samples of food they served us but they simply refused.. Ok.. so this is how it started:
