Glassware adds a level of quality that really matters in a setting like this. Second, the Monday half-price chicken wing special being "dine-in only" feels a bit too rigid. I completely understand why the rule exists -- to avoid people ordering massive to-go quantities without ordering drinks or tipping. But if a customer's been at the bar for a couple of hours, ordering multiple rounds and treating staff well, they should be able to take their leftovers home. Once food is paid for, that's simply part of the cost of doing business. This isn't meant as a complaint -- more like constructive feedback. It's a good spot that does a lot right, and with just a few adjustments, it could easily be a five-star favorite.

While the exact spot in the parking lot wasn't immediately obvious, Waze got me close. Once there, head to the left rear side of the hockey supply store. If you see the retaining wall for Route 8 and a pressure-treated wood deck, you're in the right place. Parking seems plentiful, though it was only moderately busy during my visit. Inside, the space features a long new bar, several tables, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere with excellent music at a moderate volume--loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough for conversation. Since I was alone, I took a comfortable seat at the bar and sampled a few beers, probably chatting with the bartenders and owner a bit too much (though they were all very nice, attentive, and helpful). The hazy IPAs I tried were quite good, particularly "The Wilds," and the sour beer on draft was delicious. I had already had a couple of drinks elsewhere, so I couldn't try as many as I would have liked, but they had plenty of cans available to go, which I eagerly grabbed. Walked into a gated open patio area with picnic tables and a small bar. There was a couple of couches with pergolas in the back grass area. On the opposite side of the bar was a window to order food. They did provide menus at the window. Grabbed a drink from the bar and sat down at one of the picnic tables. After a little while we ordered food from the window, didn't really like this concept as you had to get up and order it, pay and then go get it yourself when the beeper went off. Luckily it wasn't busy so our table and drinks were untouched by other patrons. Ordered the Dooley and the turkey BLT, got a choice for a side dish opted for fries and tots. Food didn't take long and was good. After you're done they have a trash can and an empty tray station to return too. No one came to clean the table, no one picked up empty glasses so we put ours on the bar when leaving. Staff was friendly. Cool little spot to pop into for a drink. They had big jenga on some of the tables and cornhole in the back.
