Let me cut to the chase. DO NOT GO HERE! Walked in without appointment and seemed to take me right away. Owner not friendly and started to soak my gel. No indication or communication at all that I'd have to sit there waiting for over a half hour. No apology and didn't even ask me to come back later. Once I was finally taken, the "technician" couldn't have rushed any more. Unbelievable. Not friendly and gave the quickest, sloppiest gel I've ever had. Barely touched cuticles and shabby polish job that I can already tell will fade soon. To top it off, this place is DIRTY. I had to ask the tech to wipe down the table. I was never asked to wash my hands the entire time, so the roughness of the filing made the polish lumpy. No sign of sterilized instruments. Clearly they favor the regulars. They could care less about new customers. Signs everywhere about giving cash for tips and how they're not responsible for lost items. Very welcoming atmosphere. You'd think with all of the nail places around they would be a little more concerned. Avoid this place and don't waste money. Deserves 0 stars. read more

I've been getting my nails done at Sarah Nails for 13 years. I remember when they opened down the street from me. I decided to give them a try. And since that first time, I've not gone anywhere else. Jenny runs an amazing place with friendly nail techs who go the extra mile for all their customers. In fact, I feel so comfortable there that I ask Jenny to choose the right polish color for me each time. She's never steered me wrong. My now 12 year old kid has grown from sitting on my lap during my manicures to getting her own mani-pedis on the regular. I couldn't be more pleased. It's great to have such a wonderful place where you can walk in and everyone knows you. Even my family's holiday cards for over 10 years are visible on the wall. It's that kind of place. I have been a loyal customer for years, even during covid I called for an appointment yesterday, was told a time was good. When I sat down for the pedicure, it was rushed and they were even to lazy to have me walk to the dryer. I was told to stay at my chair and was not given any more attention until my manicurist finished the pedicure on the lady next to me. Decided to come here for a gel mani pedi! Was super excited to treat myself after not getting any nail work done in close to a year! Walked into a silent salon with no music and very few clients (pretty uncomfy atmosphere). I was immediately sat with the girl to be doing my pedicure, very nice but did not at all seem like she wanted to talk to me or hold a conversation. My pedicure was done well (very quick) but was two shades lighter than shade on the polish selected, oh well no big deal! Manicure was started shortly after. I spent a total of an hour 15 in nail salon so I was pretty impressed with timing!! When I get to check out I was asked to pay 88$ for gel mani pedi?!!! Never in my life I have paid this much for these services, very disappointed with cost plus customer service. Sadly will not be returning! Came with my mom to get our nails done before vacation and had a great experience. Everyone was very nice and greeted us when we came in, we were early so they got us started right away. They really take into account the style and shape you want for your nails, I said I had a graduation coming up so they suggested the silver/sparkle which turned out really nice so my mom got that as well. We also wanted it to last longer and asked to cut our nails short which they did. Very professional with the whole process! I tried this nail salon about 7 or so years ago when they first opened as it was an impressive boutique salon type place. But after 3 visits I stopped going because the 3 times I went the one girl spent my entire time trying to sell me eye lash ($500) and all the spa services. I was held captive while she did my nails with each boring sales pitch. It was not relaxing. It has been a long time and thought I would try again. The place has aged a bit but still kept well. The service I always get is refill acrylic nails with gel polish...which was my treatment here ($40 and I gave an $8 tip). This always lasts me a good 4 weeks. Unfortunately after getting my nails done here...the gel lifted in a layer off my nail the VERY next day. Ugh. I did not have time to go back the next day but went back the day after. By this time 3 nails had the polish lifted. The technician remembered me and was very willing to fix my 3 nails. Six DAYS later I went to a different nail salon to get my nails all redone....they were a total mess. They just did not hold up. The gal was nice but the job was horrible. Maybe I will try again in 7 years. For now...I def won't be back. read more

I don't have time to come back every few days to wait to get my nails fixed so I'll go somewhere else. I went to Sarah because my normal nail salon is closed on Sundays (R&R--the best!). I wish I would have waited another week. I got a gel manicure. First they didn't even use water to soak my nails before trimming the cuticles. Then after she was done, they didn't have me wash my hands. My nails weren't painted all the way around so you can still see unpolished nail on the edges. You can also see spots on my nail where the polish didn't coat all the way. there's also polish on my skin that they didn't remove. They were busy and they wanted to get me in and out. You are supposed to get a massage while you wait for drying. LITERALLY 40 SECONDS. Nobody greeted me when I arrived and nobody said thank you when I left. My tech COUNTED her tip in front of me and then didn't even say thank you. I WILL NEVER COME BACK. read more

I went here recently trying to find my new go-to salon. Don't be fooled by previous reviews like I was because I felt like I was treated very poorly. The pedi I went in for lasted all of 15 minutes and they looked like they were in a rush to get me out of the salon (it wasn't even crowed). I had never been in here before, and wanted to get a mani/pedi ($35 weekday special) & eyebrow wax ($10). I didn't realize it's a spa- not just a nail salon. They do full body waxing, noninvasive liposuction, laser hair removal, eyelash rejuv, and a lot more. It's worth noting that they only accept credit cards when you spend $20 or more. This place is VERY clean & really pretty inside. It's a french-grecco decor, and I LOVED that it didn't have those huge gaudy mirrors across from the pedicure chairs that you see in a lot of nail places. The massage chairs were clean and comfy, and give the BEST massages. I got my eyebrows done first and they turned out beautifully. She took her time & was very thorough. I want to note that there was plenty of staff, too. Unless they are VERY busy, I can't imagine you having to wait more than a couple of minutes. They did my mani/padi SIMULTANEOUSLY which was amazing. The girls were super friendly, not overly chatty, but very sweet! They use hot towels & stones at the end of the pedi, (and just a hot towel after the mani), which was a nice touch. They also massage your shoulders & neck when you go to sit under the nail dryer. I tried to email them through their website to see if they were still accepting walk-ins due to Covid-19 restrictions (the website boasts walk-ins are welcome, $35 Mani-Pedi, Monday through Wednesday). I never received a response. So I called their number, not only did it immediately go to an away message, redirecting me to a completely different number, the mailbox was full. So I took a risk and drove down, only for them to shout out through the door that they were no longer taking walk-ins. My Maid of Honor and I went to check it out for my upcoming wedding (I live out of town) and when we walked in, we were barely greeted and told to pick a color and were shown to the seat. MUST READ- after being disappointed once because the technician smudged my toe nails at the end with a towel and didn't fix it, I decided to give them a second try. Lucky me got the same technician again and this time she cut my skin around my nail. I jumped and screamed usually I can control myself with pain but then she did it again. What the heck. How can you be that bad. IT'S BEEN 2 DAYS AND MY TOE STILL HURTS. Now I'm scared, it better not be infected. That is so unsanitary as someone is going to use those cutters after me. Don't go to Sarah nails to get your nails done. You'll be very sorry!! The staff is not friendly and they do not care if they hurt you or feel the pain while doing your cuticles with a metal clipper that was not even sanitized. If you're nice and afraid to say no stop hurting me them don't go to this place. Their products are low cheap quality as well. Rude. Extremely rude. I have been to Sarah nails a few times in the past several years whenever I couldn't go to my normal nail salon. I have always left the salon feeling a little angered by the owner's rudeness. The people who work there are all really nice and they're pretty good with their skills... but the owner is just horrible. She treats and talks to her workers in such demeaning tone and orders them around like they're her servants. I felt very uncomfortable sitting there listening to her talk to her workers in Korean ordering them around as I understood everything she was saying. A few weeks ago, I went there out of desperation because I just didn't have time to drive to my regular salon right before Thanksgiving. I made an appointment for 4:30 for my manicure. I got there on time and let them know that I had an appointment but they pretty much ignored me until 4:45. A few minutes later, the owner told me to just wait a little longer (like no big deal) but I told her I was in a rush to go pick up my kids and that I had gel manicure on that had to be removed. (don't mind the fact that I made an appointment!) She seemed annoyed and said, "you should have told me you had gel" with an attitude and sat me down to soak my nails with acetone and foil. Then she went back to her station to continue working on her customer, but started talking to another lady, who was supposed to do my nails next, "Charge her $10 extra for removing her gel". The lady seemed a little shocked and said, "$10? Isn't it $5?" to which the owner replied, purposely loud enough for me to hear, "It's $5 extra if you get your gel here but $10 if you get it done somewhere else". Hmmmmmmmm... I've been getting gel manicures and have gotten them removed at different salons SEVERAL times and not ONCE have I experienced anyone charging me MORE because I had them done at another salon. It doesn't require more work for you to remove gel manicure that was done at a different place so why would you charge more? I HAVE seen some places remove it for free if you're a regular but the norm is $5 REGARDLESS of where you got it done. The extra $5 isn't what I'm upset about. It was the principle of it. It was the owner's attitude about it. She continued to say the same thing over and over again for good 3 minutes, clearly wanting me to hear it since she knew I understood Korean, that she was going to charge me $10 extra and why that was legit. It was like her passive aggressive way of "punishing" me for speaking up to say that I was in a rush now because SHE failed to honor my appointment time. The girl who did my nails was actually really nice and good. She apologized for being late (It was 5 when I started getting my nails done) and felt really bad charging me extra. I wasn't upset at her at all because it wasn't her fault. And plus, I know that if she didn't charge me extra, the owner would have ripped her apart after I left. Trust me - she talks to them like she's some royal highness and they're her servants. I have felt it every time I went there but it was confirmed this time - she is only nice to not just her regulars, but regulars who spend a ton of money there and those who AREN'T Asian. If you're not spending big money there and just getting regular gel, mani or just a regular pedi, she will treat you like DIRT. A racist against your own kind? The owner of Sarah nails definitely is. Maybe it was because a never had a regular french tip before, but it came off within a day! They didn't really pay attention to the shape of my nails - they looked like a child painted them. I'm going to start out by saying that I work at a salon, and I have high expectations for customer service and pedicures. This was the worst pedicure I have ever had. First they made me wait in lukewarm water for about 15-20 minutes. When my woman came over she rushed through filing my toes. I asked her to make sure she got all the dead skin on the sides which... Is still there. The whole pedicure took about 15 minutes. There was a ton of people waiting so obviously she was trying to flip the chairs quickly. It was horrible I will NEVER go back. I was really surprised to see all the bad reviews, I've been going to Sarah's for years and have always had a very lovely experience! Comfortable massage chairs, very clean, and a standard mani pedi always ends in a relaxing shoulder rub. Yes, once or twice I've had a technician I didn't love, but that's been true of many nail salons I've been to, even fancy ones in New York. They also allowed me to bring in champagne and snacks for my friend's pre-wedding nail appointment, and even when there were just 3 of us for my mother's birthday! I've been going to Sarah Nails for four years now and have to say it's the cleanest nail salon I've ever been to with the best polish selection, friendliest staff, most knowledgeable waxers, and an owner- Jenny- who is extremely accommodating. I love the mani/pedi combo offered Monday-Wednesday for $35 and the fact you get a great leg massage -and a mini hot stone massage included as a perk- included in the early week price of $35! Plus, as your nails dry, you get a mini back massage, as well. I often pay for a chair massage, too, and they are reasonably priced at $1 per minute, starting at 15 mins. This is by far the best salon in the area. I've had manis, pedis, and waxing done here. Never a bad experience. The prices are very reasonable. With the basic pedicure you get an exfoliating scrub, massage with oil, and a hot stone massage to finish. Id definitely say they are consistent here.
