had a gel manicure and regular pedicure. As I was walking from the chair to the drying station, I slipped on the wet floor which seemed to have massage oil on the floor. I actually fell to the ground. the only employer that assisted me up was the girl who then, had to fix my toe polish, which smudged as I fell. not one other employer asked if I was ok. they all totally ignored the situation. I asked for ice for my wrist, and they said they didn't have any. read more

The actual work was well done, but they put the nail polish i brought in with me on their shelf at the end, and then they demanded a tip, which is supposed to be OPTIONAL. Really soured the whole experience. read more

Tip is OPTIONAL not mandatory. The host demand I tip for a service I hadn't even received yet. They have you pay before your served and require you to go to atm for cash to tip. When I told her I didn't have a physical card she said I had to add tip to my order with my careless transaction. read more

Thought service was a little cold and bordering on rude but overall okay. When I left the woman who did my nails came running into the parking lot asking for more tip - which was pretty shocking (have never had that happen before), but feeling awkward and not wanting to cause a scene I obliged. I gave them a $20 and asked for $10 back, to which she pushed further and said $10 wasn't enough. I ended up leaving $15 additional tip, which is not a big deal but have never had tips demanded of me like that. I have always understood tips to be elective (though encouraged) and the amount based on the quality of the service (subpar in this case). Seeing similar reviews I don't understand why they wouldn't just raise prices if they are going to demand 20%+ tip to feel fairly compensated. Never feel strongly enough to leave a negative review but unfortunately the experience was pretty jarring read more

We had two spa pedicure , each $50, golden mystique, my tech did not speak English but she communicated with me with help of her coworker which was nice, decent massage, only thing i didnt like was the shape of my toe nails Ive never had anyone make that ugly shape but she painted very well. After she escorted me to the drying station, she never came back to check on my feet or any after care, well i guess that is second cons, but overall, it was nice and relaxing! read more

I ran in after my hair cut and was on a time crunch so I told them only a pedicure and I would come back in the afternoon for my manicure. The lady at the front told me it would be no problem to get both my hands and feet done quick! They did an excellent job on my nails & did in fact get me in and out. I was given a great leg massage, hot stones, and a peel off mask. Everything was great! Place was clean, overall exceeded my expectations. read more

Got my toes done and it was a good job overall besides the fact I left with multiple cuts My first time ever experiencing this but they did not allow me to get my service with my friend(she paid) until I tipped. Went to get cash and lady at the desk told me it wasn't enough and had to at least be 15%-20%. Went back to car and got more cash. Wouldn't let me leave without tipping. I always tip for service but this made me not want want to. Ruined the experience read more

Had the best pedicure by Diana ! I got the delux, she took her time and it was worth every penny! The best pedicure I ever had ! Hot wax and hot stones ! Then when drying my nails they asked if I wanted a massage, of course!!!!! It was not only great it was like 20 minutes , I asked the guy how much he said nothing just tip if you can! Wow ! 20 min massage it was GREAT , that alone will make me go back!!!! Well done Bliss!!!! read more

This place is terrible. From the wait to the unprofessionalism to the atmosphere. See the picture I posted? SHE RIPPED THE SKIN OFF MY FOOT. I think she scrubbed me harder than a cast iron skillet that hasn't been cleaned ever. She also cut my pinky toe and I was bleeding. We had an APPOINTMENT for 3 people at 2. I sat in cold water without jets until my feet were wrinkly. They FINALLY turned the jets on with freezing cold water after I waited forever. I would have been fine soaking and waiting but I basically was sitting in stagnant, lukewarm water. We're now playing musical chairs at the manicure station because nobody has any idea what they're doing. My best friend and daughter were both asked to move to other stations. This place is the worst nail salon I've ever been to and I have NO idea how they retain business. I will not be back and am appalled I didn't even get as much as an apology for being injured and PAYING for it. Do yourself a favor and pick another nail salon or get a 4 year old child to do it for you. read more

first they make you prepay for the service which is fine, I was asked to prepay for a tip since I was using my card. so I did which is weird but ok. so I got my eyebrows done that was the worst experience ever they messed me up...... when I showed her a pic before we got started she said ok. once we were done which was all of 3mins I looked and said that's it she proceeded to tell me I can draw the rest in. mind you they made or pre pay for the tip, which should of been zeroooooo. read more

I used to be a regular here when I lived in the area a couple years back and was in town visiting a friend. I found that the service had definitely gone down since. I had a gel manicure & pedicure. Both were done at the same time and were super rushed. The water for my pedicure tub was luke warm and the tech barely exfoliated the soles of my feet. As far as the gel manicure goes, most nails weren't completely painted and I have polish on the skin next to one of my nails. And because it's gel it's nearly impossible for me to remove. Would not recommend to anyone or return to this salon myself. read more

I wanted to treat my family to a mani-pedi pamper session but couldn't get to the appointment on time. When I did get there, the lady at the desk was extremely rude and kept telling me I was late when she could have just asked me to reschedule. Her customer service etiquette was miserable to say the least and she continued to roll her eyes and show her exasperation in a loud voice in front of all the other customers and my family. It was humiliating and disappointing. I used to go here often but will not be going again and will dissuade my family and friends too lest they have a similar humiliating experience like me. read more

The technicians are always sweet and ask if temperature is suitable. The place is usually packed on a weekend for pedicures. They take plenty of time massaging my legs and buffing and polishing. This nail spa is conveniently located in Airport Square in Montgomeryville. Even in the midst of the bustle of a busy area, you feel like you've been whisked away for some serenity. Today I opted for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. After picking out my OPI polish from a wide variety of choices, I was seated in one of the many pedicure chairs. While enjoying the chair's back massage, one technician did my gel nails, while the other specialist did my pedicure. After the hot stone massage on my legs, she finished up my color. After my pedicure and gel manicure, I was brought to the small yet clean and beautifully decorated wax room to get my eyebrows done. Usually when I get my eyebrows waxed, I'm extremely red and irritated, but not today! The lotion she applied afterwards was gentle and soothing. Overall, my experience here was nothing less than wonderful! The top notch services, products and decor will keep me coming back for sure. read more

Looks *are* deceiving with this place. Beautiful decor, calming/relaxing music but HORRENDOUS, SLOPPY service. This was my gel manicure experience on a Monday morning: Walked in, no sooner did I say "gel manicure, please" before I was asked to pay $30. Then, I was ushered over to a huge selection of lovely colors but given less than two minutes to make a selection. By the third minute, the woman takes the sample of colors I was looking at and tells me to sit so she can begin filing my nails like some wild machine. At this time, I glanced at my watch and saw that it was 11:32 am...by 11:35 am she begins cutting my cuticles for a whole 2 minutes (they still are a mess). By 11:37am she is painting my nails. In my mind, I'm thinking 'didn't we forget a step here? maybe she knows something I don't about speed and quality.' Until this point, I never in my life had a gel manicure where no soaking of the nails was involved!!! In between LED drying, I pointed out the numerous unsightly cuticles that remained but the woman only removed one of the 15. She couldn't get a top coat on me fast enough before slathering lotion on my arms and covering them with scalding hot towels. By 11:45 am she was done and sent me on my way. Blooming Nails - home of the 15 minute gel manicure. No thanks! Needless to say, I'll never be back. Update: just three days after my gel manicure the polish peeled completely off my finger. Worst. Manicure. Ever. read more

The older woman was very rough to begin with right when I saw down, she used the scrub for a pedicure which left a cut on my one leg and not the other. Was not the most friendly which I understand if it's busy, they do what they can. She did not wear gloves nor did she wash her hands before performing my pedicure. Did not see anyone washing hands, my phone fell and as I went to grab it the worker next to me grabbed it. Seems like a nice gesture but she had gloves on and was touching another persons feet. Doesn't seem the most sanitary to me. Then she goes right back to touching the other woman's feet. Saw another woman come in for a pedicure and she left before I did, there was nothing done such as a simple wiping down of the leather seats after she left. They just refilled the water and sat another person down. Overall will never come back, just too unsanitary for my liking. If they don't even wipe down seats in FRONT of customers, what do they do when no one is around?? Only sanitary action that I saw at this place was the man giving massages and he was applying hand sanitizer between customers. read more

Honestly, not happy with my mani pedi. They did an awful job, plastered it on, didn't give me the color I chose, whatever. What got me is when I went to tip with card because I didn't have cash, the owner told me that since I got a gel and mani I should tip double what I wanted to tip. LITERALLY TOLD ME TO TIP 20$. Like excuse me? Tips are based on customer satisfaction, you cannot tell me how much to tip. I was so dissatisfied and especially with that comment I should not even have tipped. Would not recommend! read more

Terrible. I got dip powder with a tip and gel polish on a Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning one popped off so I had to go back and get it fixed. Later that evening 2 more nails popped off not even 24 hours after getting them done. A complete waste of my time and money. Will never be back. read more

I've gone to the blooming in Wayne and Newtown square for years and love it! I decided to try this one in north wales because it wasn't too far from my new house. I will NOT go back. They lady was very nice but did a terrible job. She kept hurting me while she was cutting my cuticles. And then when I started to bleed she said next time tell them to just push back. Ummm no I've had many gel manicures and no issue. She was the issue. I left without tipping and now I feel bad because the Hispanic woman that did my feet was fine and I should have given her something but I was so annoyed that I just left. I hope I don't get any nail infection now. And my blood was 100 percent on the instruments they better sterilize everything! read more

I should have checked here before I decided to go. Well. I went there as very first visit. Service was below than the average. She spent 2 mins to clean cuticles so I asked to do more since obviously there were lot to clean. If I mine looks clean why would I spend $90 for the service? She did another one min. Whatever. Then she said tip should be 20% .. what???? So I said it should be voluntary based on the service but she said "no all Americans do that" ... I guess I'm not an American based on her definition. Speechless. Whatever I spent $100 for that subpar service. Will never ever go back. read more

The manager June (I think) is rude and mean to the clients as well as their workers. The products they use are watered down and the gel fades within two weeks. I pay extra for gel to last longer. When I went to them for an explanation they would not honor their work and I had to fight for restitutions. The polish chipped and faded and they would only give me a polish change with the same watered down polish. Spend your hard worked money elsewhere! read more

I patently disliked Blooming Nails. To be quite honest, they did a good job with both my manicure and pedicure and seemed to use clean practices. The woman who did my pedicure did a very good job and gave a great foot and leg massage. That was the best part of experience, but it quickly took a turn for the worse when a second guy came up to my chair to do my manicure simultaneously. If you're in a rush, this is probably a good place to go, but if you want to relax and enjoy yourself, find another place. This place is like a factory. I don't blame the workers, but the way this place is set up to rush you through the process just totally ruined the experience for me. read more

Beautiful salon and always great mani/pedi from both Michaela and Maria!!! Very happy with service.

I come to this place for a pedicure every three weeks and usually I would never have a negative thing to say. Most of the girls are amazing, but today I had the worst pedicure of my life. I watched as this woman sped through every single part of it while the other women around me relaxed. In fact, this women skipped the parafin wax altogether, which is part of the regular pedicure price. The massage was awful and rushed, as was every other part of my pedicure. I'm just hoping that my toes don't come out looking a mess, bc that's how the rest of the entire thing felt! I will absolutely ask for one of the other girls by name, or I will ask to not have the one I had today. Today I had sally, never seen her here before and normally I have had Sara, Elsa and more, all do amazing work! I'll be back for sure but now I know who I have to ask for and who to stay away from. 5 stars every other time but today! read more

I recently visited this establishment a few weeks back to get a pedicure. I came in and you have to pay first before getting service. The lady that took my payment was rude and cold. I was then directed to a chair where a manicurist waited for me. She offered to take my shoes and purse and place in a basket but I chose to keep my purse with me. During the pedicure she grabbed my legs and feet in a rough manner. My end result was disappointing. The nail polish didn't last as long as other places. I will not come back. They are very rude and the service is below sub par. read more

Very pricey compared to other nail salon in the area. I think their price is twice or three times more expensive but what I got was terrible. I feel like I can polish my nails better than they do. The only plus point about this place is that it is very spacious and doesn't smell as bad as other nail salon, they do a good job in keeping the place clean. Still, would not recommend and will never come back. read more

I can see why others have been dissatisfied feeling "rushed" but I don't think it's actually the case, they are just being efficient. I got a French gel manicure and the girl who did my nails did a great job and a did thorough, careful, but efficient job. She didn't over pamper me or anything, but I didn't expect or want it honestly. I'm very happy bc I got what I paid for: a beautiful set of nails! read more

RUSHED. My 5 year old niece and I got there at 6:15 and we were rushed. Everyone was starting to leave (they close at 7). While getting my toes done, I had another woman cutting and filing my nails basically pulling me out of the chair criss crossed. So unprofessional and not at all relaxing. That same woman was the one doing my nail polish change and when she had accidentally used the wrong base coat (partially my fault, I didn't specify it was in the bag but the woman doing my toes knew,) she told me she wanted to go home. It was no later than 6:30. I found someone else to fix the mistake (it took her less than 4 minutes.) The woman fixing my nails also rushed and I had to point out messed up nails. Every employee except the manager had left while we were still drying to which point was just rushed too. We won't be back. I don't recommend. I was refunded $35 when I had paid $59 for us for just polish changes. Super disappointed. I would like a full refund for a terrible experience. read more

I have been visiting Blooming Nails for several years and I always receive excellent service. I am confused by the negative reviews on this site. The interior is immaculate. Very clean, very hygienic. The technicians who work there are professional and knowledgeable. I have never had a poor experience. The Spa pedicure (currently on special for $50) is well worth the price - The service is never rushed, and I always fall asleep. Their manicures are excellent - Jane is my favorite but I have never had a bad manicure there. I go back and forth between gel manicures and regular manicures. I have never received a "15 minute speedy gel manicure". I recommend this place to everyone I talk to, and I have brought my Mom, my aunts, my friends and my co-workers - They have all loved it and repeatedly visit again, and again. You are required to pay first, which I personally do not have an issue with - It is nice to go in know what you are paying up front and not have any surprises after receiving the service in regard to cost.
