I've been trying to grow out a Pixie (ladies DO NOT fall into the romance of this trend as I did! -…read moreWayyyy tooo much upkeep and takes forever to grow it out again!). The last time I got my haircut, had a bad experience (see my reviews!) and so I had my husband trim up the ends and just kept wearing my hair up. Then I had to have surgery. I knew I couldn't go in with 67 hair clips/bobby pins/ etc and would have to wear my hair down - and the fear of dying during surgery and dying with bad hair was keeping me up at night. The day before surgery, I was driving by a salon that is just down the street from my house that said, "Today only 1/2 hair cut!" Well, why not! Just in case I didn't die in surgery, I'd have a stylish haircut and had saved some money! Brandie is new to the salon, though has been cutting hair for years in a high end salon in a different area. As soon as I met her, I felt totally at ease. She didn't shame me for having my husband cut the back of my hair (it really was horrible) or for avoiding salons. She didn't pressure me to buy product (a pet peeve of mine!) and she was very easy going, totally relaxing, and knew what she was doing. When I left, my hair looked great just the simple time and shape made me feel great. I ended up making it thru surgery and looked very stylish in the hospital while recovering. I'm so glad that "sign" was outside the salon that day - which reaffirms my belief in signs (and in great hairdressers!)

No reviews yet and this place has been here for 14 years?…read more I had the pleasure of popping in today looking for a gel mani and brow wax. I'm new to the area so need somewhere new to do these things. I was greeted warmly and professionally and the place looked nice. Was able to see Erica for my wax but could not wait for my nails. I was just a walk in so that is expected. My brows look nice and Erica was a doll. Average price for eyebrow wax. They suggested I go next door for my nails as they said they go there when their manicurist is busy. I'm in the business myself so I thought it a little weird that they would recommend I go somewhere else but I went and I wasn't disappointed there either. I have my favorite place for my hair but will definitely go back for other services.

If I could find a single nail salon that didn't cut so much fucking skin that my cuticles bleed, I'd swear allegiance to it... but sadly, this isn't the one. They are clean, at least, so I wasn't terrified of infection. But why do they always overtrim?! I guess they're in such a damn hurry. I sometimes try to say not to cut them at all with mixed results. If there are issues with your treatment, you may not receive a call back for weeks, and instead might have to keep calling them. I purchased the laser nail treatment with the "written guarantee". Before originally scheduling in January 2014 I confirmed over the phone that this was a money back guarantee, and the answering staff member confirmed yes, that they've never had anyone that the treatment didn't work on. One year and 3 treatments later, after following all instructions perfectly in addition to going above and beyond to be sure I was doing my part, my nail situation is worse, not one bit better. I was assured the entire time that I just needed to continue following instructions and scheduling appointments. No results. Now they're refusing a refund, stating that it's just a written guarantee that it works, meaning they'll continue treating at "no cost". I'd rather get that whopping $500 back for this bogus treatment then continue playing this game. Now I have to take Lamisil and risk my liver, or just live with this problem forever.
