New restaurant in Westminster and it's so good! Also very good pricing. It's so hard to find food at a decent price now. I enjoyed the bánh canh and my mom enjoyed the pho Thai. Would get it again for sure!

Bun Rieu
John T.

Ordered Bun Rieu - 3.5 Value - varies Broth- Slightly on the sweeter side from the tomatoes. Definitely requires shrimp paste to adjust for taste. Veggies are fresh. 14.99 a bowl is definitely higher over here as the proteins given aren't justified. You really get four micro sized fried tofu pieces, 2 mini pork paste balls, 1 blood cube, and some crab rieu. I recommend people who want to save some money and feed a small family of three then order from their special " buy 2 get 1 free deals". Output time is decent along with good service. No long waits as was only diner at 11 am.

I was excited to return to Sao Bien for a bowl of bún bò Huế, but today's experience was disappointing. We ordered two bowls for our party of three, as my 97-year-old grandfather cannot finish a full portion. At other restaurants this has never been an issue. When we asked for an extra bowl to share, we were given a tiny disposable paper bowl--smaller than the soup spoon itself. When we requested a proper bowl, we were told it was against "policy" since the kitchen is separate from the restaurant. This explanation felt unreasonable and made what should have been a simple, enjoyable meal unnecessarily frustrating.

Great food, fast service, and price very reasonable. I wish there are more restaurants like this. The server is very friendly too.

Service was good, our waiter recommended the clams and also a vegetable dish (not pictured) that we saw everyone ordering. Everything tasted authentic, fresh and amazing! The broth for the clams was so light with a hint of garlic/butter and spice- highly recommend. I would definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Saw this on yelp and just happened to be in the Little Saigon area. Parking was no issue since it's located in a large strip center. Yelp reviews suggested the crawfish and yelpers were correct. This entree was outstanding! We also ordered Ala carte clams, catfish soup and claypot fish. Everything was fresh tasting, piping hot and flavorful. Definitely recommend checking out this establishment if you're in the neighborhood.

Bun bo hue, so good!

We loved our meal here at Sao Bien! Note, it is cash only but there is an ATM in the restaurant. The dining space is about medium-sized I would say, but as a party of 2 we didn't need a reservation. The menu here is quite extensive, which is awesome. I got the Bun Bo Hue here, and it was phenomenal. Plus, the restaurant's chili sauce was insanely spicy but still so very flavorful. The service was great, and the meal was overall wonderful and very enjoyable. The restaurant is part of a major strip mall complex, so there is plentiful parking in the area. I highly recommend coming here!

Bún mắm soooo good

My girlfriend and I always go here for the buy 2 get 1 free soup special. Bun mam is always my go to, its very flavorful but not overkill. Other bún dishes are also decent as well. Since it's only the 2 of us most of the time we can't really do cơm phần gia đình, but that's something we would like to try one of these day. Only complaint is we were charged $1.75 for each hot tea

Came here to dine with my family while visiting in Bolsa! There are raving reviews for sao bien, especially their seafood dishes so we had to hop on that :) They were very busy with one woman rushing around, it got to the point where she gave us her notepad to write down our orders HAHA However, our orders still came out in a timely manner. All the doors were open so it was a bit chilly, but it makes sense since the space is a little cramped I ordered the bo luc lac, which I'll admit, isn't as great as the other places i've been to that serves this dish. The pieces are a bit smaller but it was still very flavorful with the chilis that they provide on the side. The oysters were huge and delicious! I really love how they gave us more than the dozen we ordered with extra limes on top. The crawfish was super meaty and fresh. The sauce was *chefs kiss* over rice, we also got mayonnaise on the side which made it even better. Would definitely come back for the seafood!

Great food and service!!

The food is decent, but the portions are very small. Everything is very pricey. This is a 1 time thing for us.

The raichi drink was good and the miso carbonara was creamy and the proportion of bacon to pasta was perfect. It is super cute inside as well, but the service was kinda slow because they only had one server for all the tables. I think it's important to compare this to Ini ristorante because I think with this place being new that it is quite similar to Ini especially with the japanese italian fusion concept. I would say it is basically the same price if not more expensive than if you were to go to Ini and I personally think the food, ambiance and service is better at Ini than here. So in the future, I would be open to going back and there was nothing wrong with the restaurant, but I would definitely choose Ini over momonoki just cause I feel like I get more with how much I spend.

Know where you're aiming to go. - There is a sister restaurant named Mono Yama two doors down ...cue to me walking in between aimlessly because my friend recommended the place and all i recalled was "momo". That said, the people were super nice in both places. You can tell it happens often. We went right as it opened, and we got seated right away. The menu is via a QRC on the table. We ordered 3 things - vongole pasta. Previously they offered it uni but this one had claims and shrimp. We also got the pesto and the calamari. Calamari was crispy but it also was slightly too salty and seemed to be a lot of batter. The calamari pieces were small. The pesto pasta was okay, but the pesto wasn't the traditional pesto. I couldn't put my finger on it but it must've been the dashi. The udon was cooked well though. Soft, definitely not al dente. This vongole was the biggest miss. It had a taste that we also couldn't figure out, but it was not enjoyable to eat. We left the meal very dissatisfied. The friend I went with, who has gone before, also agreed it was disappointing. As someone who hates to waste food, we were very close to leaving nearly half of each dish there. My friend ended up taking it back. Later that evening, we both were feeling off. Idk, perhaps it was a coincidence. In the end, it was a truly sad experience.

I'm usually not a huge fan of reheated pizza because it can end up dry or tough, but the crust here was seriously impressive crispy without being hard, with a great texture that held up really well. The Detroit pepperoni had that perfect balance of crispy edges, soft interior, and savory flavor, while the fig New York slice was a surprisingly awesome mix of sweet and savory. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the toppings and overall quality. The slices did cool off pretty quickly, which is kind of the downside of reheated-to-order pizza, but honestly the flavors and crust texture still made it worth it. I also liked the casual atmosphere and the variety of styles they offer: New York, Detroit, Sicilian, & Grandma plus the option to grab a quick slice or order a whole pie. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving quality pizza with creative flavors. The service was excellent, quick, kind, answering questions about the menu without making me feel rushed & checked on how we liked it after.

We made a reservation for a Saturday night and were so excited and it really did not disappoint from start to finish. We got the puff bread with cultured butter with honey and furikake. OMG. I just... how can something so simply taste so delicious? Definitely a must try. We paired it with the salmon crudo and caprese with burrata. The salmon crudo was good, not blown away, but the caprese. Mmm! It came in a ponzu sauce and was this beautiful blend between Italian and Japanese flavors. So good. For our mains, my husband got the Seafood mafaldine and I opted for the Mala lamb pizza. This was such a unique pizza flavor, the hot honey sauce it came with tasted like a spicy, sweet curry and the pizza itself was delicious. Crispy crust, a little bit of cilantro for freshness. So good. To top it all off, we got the Blueberry pavlova and hazelnut cake. Both of these were incredibly indulgent and absolutely worth it. I think we were full for a whole day off this meal. To wash it down, I had the Highball with Suntory whiskey and a Calamansi Sidecar. I loved the assortment of Japanese whisky here, the cocktail menu was more tastefully curated than just trendy. On top of an excellent meal that I will be salivating over for a while, our server Danny was great! Super attentive, friendly, helpful and just a delight. Highly recommend!
