My family's go to spot for catfish or bo 7 mon! Very attentive staff. They time your courses, as soon as you're done with one, they're bringing out the next. Bo la lot is my favorite and love ending it with the beef noodle soup. Cat fish to go is a great option too. They give you all the veggies, rice paper, and sauces to eat at home.

Really really good ca nuong, my favorite spot and the service is always really welcoming

So good!

We were originally going to go to the location off Westminster Blvd. but it was closed on Tuesdays so we're thankful this sister location was still open. We had 4 adults and 1 child with our party. They immediately seated us and took our order. They have a wide variety of beef based dishes and more for those who want to try other items. We ended up ordering Bo La Lot, Bo Nuong Mo Chai, Bo Nuong Vi, and Bo Tai Chanh. The Bo Nuong Vi comes with side veggies and rice paper for you to wrap into spring rolls. The food came out in a timely manner. The portions were generous. Every dish is unique and cooked to perfection. The beef rolls and meatballs had great flavor and the light charring makes it extra tasty. The fish sauce adds an extra kick to the dishes. Salad is also very refreshing and the beef slices are very tender. The only complaint we have is how the oil on our grill splashed at us all while we were cooking the beef slices. It hit us a couple times even though we kept an arm's length. Cleanliness is questionable. We found a small strand of hair on our rice paper plate. Otherwise, food tastes great and its very affordable.

7 courses of beef...it's normally for special occasion or rich folks, back in VN that is. This location has been around for over 3 decades or more. Finally I came for dinner. Parking is great, since they have front and back lots. The inside is simple and bright and airy. Service is good,, but somehow they misheard what I ordered on drink. I wanted a 1l of wine and they gave me a glass...when I told them about it, they brought me a liter, and charged me for both. They didn't even inform me til I pay the bill. The foods are good, tasty and on the dot. The fish, is abit dry but still tasty. Overall we had a delish wonderful meal. We came around 4:30pm and it was pretty much empty but by 5:30, the place started packing up plus plenty of order to go.

Wanted Bo 7 Mon and this place was the closest to where we were at the moment. The symbol on the store front resembles the Laughing cow cheese symbol. The place is very low key and old. Lots of round bigger tables to cater to larger parties. Toilet didn't flush, bathroom very old, soap was diluted with water and placed in an old pump container. Regardless, the food was amazing and delicious. Mam nem and nuoc mam readily at the table which is money. They'll bring you rice paper to makes at the table, greens, chopped cucumbers, carrots, bean sprouts and chuoi chat slices. I love the lemongrass that they bring, I add a ton to each roll. You can also get baked fish but need to order ahead because it takes time to prepare. Not a fancy place, but definitely fancy for the tummy. One set of Bo 7 Mon is $30.99 per person. I don't eat all the owns in the course so I like to order a la carte. I love the Bo nuong vi (fry the steak at your table), alphabet soup, and the goi bo which came with a few shrimp.

With the rise in popularity of Korean BBQ, more traditional styles like 7 Courses of beef have fallen off the way side over the years. Fortunately, places like this one have stuck around while most others have shuttered over the years. This family owned business has been a mainstay for my family and we've enjoyed many celebrations here over the years. Nowadays it's mainly "to-go" for me with my busy lifestyle but I'm glad the recipes and amazing food hasn't changed a bit Recently made a large order of the famous betel leaf wrapped beef and beef meatballs with a side of beef rice porridge to-go. Order was hot to go when I arrived and service was quick and easy. There's nothing quite like the betel leaf wrapped beef here. It's perfectly grilled where all the juices are locked In, so you get flavorful bite every time! So good indulgently good. I like to wrap it in rice paper and add pickled veggies, a sprig of mint, lettuce and a thinly sliced cucumber. So fresh and delicious! Washed it all down with the rice porridge, which is not like the mushy thick type I used to eat when I was sick but it's more like flavorful soup stock with rice and ground beef. So good! I didn't order it this time but they have some other amazing dishes here like there Baked Fish and Bò Tái Chanh ( Thinly Sliced Rare Beef with Lemon and Herbs) Overall, I great place to check out if you love Bò 7 Món or maybe if it's your first foray into this style of Vietnamese cuisine, it's a great choice. Give em a try, hopefully you'll love it as much as I do! Happy Eats!

Ca Nuong (Medium)

Went here with my boyfriends parents because they were craving Bo 7 Mon! Three of us opted for the Medium Ca Nuong instead so I don't have much to say about the beef course. It was more than enough food for the three of us, but the veggies given to us could've been better. The fish was hot and meaty with a crispy skin. They provided everything we needed to make the wraps!

Normally I don't go out of my way to eat bo 7 mon, but something it's nice to treat yourself. We started off with the ca nuong which was the best part of the meal. The texture and flavor of the fish was amazing. However when the beef dishes came out, it was a little underwhelming. The best dish was bo nuong la lot, but even that dish was not as flavorful as I would like. The worst dish was chao bo, surprised by the flavor and the alphabet noodles in it, not something I'm familiar with. Food came out quickly and the servers were knowledgeable. Would I come back, only for the fish, but I would not get the bo 7 mon.

They are super nice here and honest. Waiter was young but polite, told us not to over order and that we can always order more. My son and husband wanted to try the 7 courses of beef, it was so delicious and they would bring us more vegetables. The waiter explained to add lemon grass and chili into the sauce. Delicious and we felt healthy after the meal. Something different from what we usually eat when we visit the area. Not bad at all for the price, I want to come back and bring my parents.

Ordered the grilled catfish ahead of time as recommended, adding shrimp chips and 2 plates of noodles and rice paper to make spring rolls! Catfish was large size and we ate for 6 people, very crispy and flavor was good! 7 courses of beef was also yummy and my favorite was bo la lot! Everything was very great and it was my friends first time having Vietnamese food and they loved it despite usually being picky of food!

Service charge 15% on a table of 5. No one informed us about this, nor that anywhere on their menu mentioned this.

**READ THIS BEFORE GOING!!!** VIETNAMESE VERSION DOWN BELOW. This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. The food was mediocre at best, but what truly ruined it was the service. The servers unfriendly throughout our entire meal. While finishing my beef meatball (bo mo chai), I was shocked to find a large piece of plastic inside the meatball. It was disgusting and made me lose my appetite. When we informed the server, he casually said, "I'll let the kitchen know," with no apology whatsoever. Later, they shifted the blame to their meat supplier, claiming the meatballs come premade and that they had no control over it. After paying, I reviewed the bill and noticed a 15% service charge added to our table of 5. I've never seen this at any other restaurant. I wouldn't have any issue tipping 15%, but with the service and experience we had today, it definitely was not worth the service charge.

Bo Nuong Mo Chai & Bo Nuong La Lop

It was Mother's Day when I came here so they were really busy here. The waiters were really friendly and sweet but the wait time for the food was quite long (at least 30 minutes). The poor waiters were running around trying to serve everyone and I felt bad for them because they were trying their best. We got the Bo Nuong Mo Chai and the Bo Nuong La Lop. There were also rice paper wrappers and veggies included for us to wrap the beef items. The food was good but I've had better Bo 7 Mon elsewhere.

menu - 7 courses of beef (Feb 2023)

My parents love Bo 7 Mon, or Vietnamese style 7 Courses of Beef, and our family favorite growing up was always Pagolac, but they have long closed down. Then we found Hong An, which eventually closed down too. We tried a few fails before cycling back to this location of Thien An. There are other locations by the same name, but this location is the one we liked the best, by compare, so far. We ordered one order of the Bo 7 Mon ($26.99/portion) and 2 side orders of the family favorite Bo Nuong La Lot ($18.99/each). Orders come with rice paper and vegetables. For anyone not familiar with the 7 courses of beef, here is the breakdown: 1. Goi Bo Tom: a special beef and shrimp salad with a vinegar dressing 2. Bo Nhung Dam: beef fondue with a special vinegar broth, slices of tenderloin cooked tableside 3. Bo Nuong Vi: thin beef marinated with lemon grass and grilled on a griddle tableside 4. Bo Nuong Mo Chai: grilled ground beef sauce with mixtures of spices and charbroiled 5. Bo Nuong La Lot: grilled minced beef wrapped in the Hawaiian "Lot Leaf" 6. Bo Cha Dum: steamed beef with a mixture of nuts and mushroom 7. Chao Bo: beef rice porridge soup Service was pretty quick and on top of things. So funny because my mom recognized the waiter here was formerly a waiter for the Hong An restaurant we used to go to. It was surprisingly that the restaurant wasn't busy during peak lunch hour on a weekend. Overall not the best I ever had, but the last okay one that's still around.

Backstory: For inexplainable reasons i do enjoy a good girthy bratwurst on many an occasion…read more especially the first bite when it explodes juicily in your mouth is so yum. So my excoworker whose german brings me and another coworker here for a more authentic experience, there was this i guess more hipster bratwurst place in LB we tried previously and i was ok with it but my broworkers brats were burnt and so here we are. In a nutshell:Ok i think i came here before maybe some event but i guess when a german brings you in and does the ordering it's different? Brats were amazing, except it was a platter of like 4 variations and they were precut, so no girthy enjoyment tonight and also i didnt know which ones were which flavor, they all look the same you have a lighter brat a darker brat and a redder brat i couldnt really tell to be honest. The pretzel was very interesting, thin crisp exterior and inside was fluffy soft, twas delicious considering how plain it looked, Wetzels/Annes would be a thick dense oily comparison. Beer cheese is extra but delicious, imagine a watery dip cheese. The ooooonly drawback was the mustard, it was kinda basic one flavor yellow mustard and according to my german friend slash excoworker she was expecting better mustards and a variety of mustards to top. Liquids:ok the beers are 500cc 1000cc and a pitcher. the 5 and 10 are a pint mug id expect at a brewery and a big fat tall apparently normal for germans sized mug thats bigger than my face. me n my bro we both do not carry the drinking genes so neither of us will walk away if we take a L ourselves, but the 3 of us wish to have a splendid jolly time havent seen each other in some time and the beer list is quite respectable. Fransiskaner Weissbeer was a mandatory vote for me, I had it like once when i was a young college dude and ive always been looking for it again since, the normal Fransiskaner Hefeweizen can be found here regularly but the dark version ive not seen in so long. If u like non-bitter smooth flavorful beer with a touch of banana hint on the end, Weissbeer you should try. $10 for a pint $16 for the oversized mug liter. Paulaner Hefeweizen was lighter flavor more orangey, still very pleasant. We took a Liter of both and split em 3 ways, the giant mugs are not possible to pour into smaller mugs without making a mess, unfortunately theyre not allowed to just pre split a 1L into 2 500ml mugs make it easier for us to split, something about the owner watching the dispensing okaaay. Service: uses the run forest run method which im a fan of. flip the painted wood block to red up for dont bother us and green for request service. Eliminates the untimely interruptions. Though towards the end of the night i had to use the bathroom and when i came back theyd cleared away my unfinished beer, rude. Pricey brats (1 brat plate is $15). Schnitzel $24 looks massive but its pounded paper thin and heavily breaded. Copious serving sizes of beer. Criminally limited to 1 type of mustard (i dont care, mustard isnt a high priority for me, but my coworker was so bothered) Parking has 2 lots on either side of the german "village" kinda small spots and tight angles but very plentiful. Also theres a mini market on the north end of the restaurant. alot of rather expensively priced small items.

I cant express how much I enjoyed my experience here!!!…read more From the start the service was so friendly, at the time we got to pick our own seating since it wasnt too busy- we opted for the patio seats and it was a great vibe. We started off with some drinks, the Bex Wine was sweet, not too dry, and super refreshing! My partner got the Erdinger beer and it was light and citrusy! We of course had to get their pretzel which was HUGE!!! I thought we wouldnt be able to finish it but it was too good not to... the beer cheese, mustard and spread were all complimented well with the hot, crisp and buttery pretzel. We also got a side of fries, super crispy and battered- my fave! My partner got the polish sausage, stacked with sauerkraut, peppers, and onion!! Super snappy sausage and very generous portions. Nonetheless, I love how you can just flip a sign to indicate when you need service- super convenient. I can see myself going back here to try their other items!!
