Terrapin Rose - Celebration

Terrapin Rose

We got a glimpse of Terrapin Rose on Main St in Dobbs Ferry, back in April '22 and personally felt…read morethat if I wanted to pick up one of the florals here that already come in a variety of planters (which we did), I didn't need a totally green thumb. Great! Aside from Terrapin Rose's wide range of indoor plants, she also offers unique terrarium accessories, pots, glass spheres, etc to create a stylish interior with plants for the home, your office or, bring to your business. The shop has a lot of natural light streaming through the glass giving her greenery the Vitamin D they need. Her plant and pot selection are eye catching pieces. Think of them like plant candy for the space you want to jazz up: lots of Catrina-esque skull planters, funky pots in metal and more subdued ones. There's really something for everyone. But plants, aren't the only thing here. There are also crystals for sale- and the owner does psychic readings before she opens her shop for the day. And just like her plants, you can select crystals based on their beauty for your home and their power to heal. So whether you're crystal-curious or crystal-obsessed, again- there's something for everyone. Let's just say- Mother Nature is all around this space in more ways than one.

This is an eclectic plant shop with lots of other knick knacks and rare finds. It felt more like…read morethe living room of a plant-obsessed friend than a store, and I loved that! The employee who helped us was friendly and knowledgeable. Great local business to check out!

Simply Hydroponics - 5 days later, they still list something they don't have as "in stock" - lazy and inconsiderate!

Very disappointing - lame - my experience was like a bad joke…read more I never did business with these guys before. But I encountered there website and they listed as "in-stock" General Hydroponics WaterFarm "Kits", which seem to out-of-stock everywhere else. So I created an account, and I ordered 50 of them (a little over 500 bucks). My experience with Simply Hydro was ridiculous... 1. The website listed the kits as "in-stock'. In reality, they didn't have any. 2. A day after forking over my 500 bucks, they finally got around to telling me they're unavailable, on back order, at least a month out, and...would I like to wait or get a refund? 3. I immediately selected a refund and I sent them 2 messages. But I received no Paypal refund and no response. 4. I lost patience and I was forced to open a dispute with Paypal to get their attention and to get my money back. 6. Five (5) days after my initial order, these guys still have the "kits" listed as "in-stock" on their website (see photo). Lazy. This a bad way to run the on-line business. Hydroponic growing has now gone main-stream. You can order all of this stuff from Amazon, Ebay, and even Walmart dot com. The days of small specialty grow shops (like this) with snobby employees, slow service, crappy customer relations, and inflated prices are coming to an end. The big boys that have their act together will send them the way of the dinosaurs. Avoid ordering anything on-line from these people. Thumbs down! P.S. They probably deserve 1 star but I'm being generous and going with 2 stars since they seem to be a real bricks & mortar shop and they seem to have some happy local customers. -Daddy Maxx Retro

This place doesn't value their customers. Customer service is none existing. No email confirmation…read moreon purchases and after you wait for days they send you a refund email. Zero explanations. Dont even write them because they dont give a crap and wont reply anyways. I wish i could give them zero stars.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible work our florist did for our wedding day. Every detail --…read morefrom the stunning bouquets to the breathtaking ceremony arch and table arrangements -- was absolutely perfect. They truly understood our vision and brought it to life more beautifully than we could have imagined. The flowers were fresh, artfully arranged, and added so much elegance and warmth to our celebration. Not only are they incredibly talented, but they were also professional, responsive, and a joy to work with from start to finish. We received so many compliments from our guests! If you're looking for a florist who goes above and beyond, look no further -- highly, highly recommend

I ordered a Premium floral arrangement and received a Standard one…read more This seems to be a common occurance when ordering flowers for gift delivery. I always ask the recipient to send me a photo. The arrangement sent, in addiiton to it be a scaled down version of what I ordered, didn't look anything like what I ordered. Instead of roses and mini-carnations, they sent a bouquet of daisys. Pictures below. I ordered by phone and made a special point that I expected the arrangement to be of Premium value and close to what I ordered. They assured me no problem. When I saw what was sent I called, asked for the owner, and asked for a partial reimbursement at the very least to the Standard pricing. After being "talked over" by the owner, he finally begrudgingly agreed. He claimed it was "fair and equal value". I can assure you it wasn't even close. Beware!
