Seafood feteer. Delicious
Miss P.

Great place to try authentic Egyptian cuisine. Koshary, kebda are awesome. We've tried seafood feteer and it was delicious. For desert we've ordered feteer with sugar, it was great as well. Prices are good for the quality of food and service was very good as well. Overall, great to eat in or order out.

Whether you're craving a quick lunch or a full Mediterranean feast, Sahara is a must-visit. Highly recommend the chicken adana kabobs and the baklava for dessert!

Walked in to a nice coffe bar area which did not seem functional .it well decorated with some antique accents keys if different shapes n sizes We were seated and a waiter took our order immediately. The place was a bit busy for a weekday. Complementary wam pita bread n ezme , sun dried tomatoes n spicy jalapeños were not bad . A paper form being warm there was nothing more to it. Got the mixed grill for two which was served with a side of soup and salad . Both sides were delicious. The grilled chicken kebabs and chops were passable though not juicy . All Lamb kebab choices were tough and chewy . This is a mediocre spot as I age v had better Kebabs in the same area . Not my kind of food.

I had never frequented New Egypt Kitchen before, but my wife & Mother In Law had been (for…read morebreakfast, a couple of times). Shortly after entering this establishment, I realized I had dinner in this building before, but the last time was several years ago (was Naples Pizza & Pasta back then, in 2018). Everything had changed, decor was simple and rustic now. Anyway, we ordered lunch. Conversation between us was strained because the music was a bit loud (albeit, it was a decent genre, 70's & 80's Rock). It took a while for the meals to arrive to our table, even though only one other table was occupied at that time in the restaurant. Our waiter was a bit inattentive also (or maybe inexperienced ?). I had to get up to ask him for some plates for our mozzarella stick appetizer, some ice in my wife's Iced Tea, a bottle of ketchup for my Mother In Law's French fries, and the coleslaw that was suppose to come with my Mother In Law's meal. Food was alright though, not great, but not horrible either. I don't agree with the 4 & 5 Star reviews for this place though, maybe breakfast is better, but that certainly wasn't what I experienced yesterday during our lunch. I imagine I still might be back someday, because it's close to where my Mother In Law lives and there really isn't a lot of choices nearby. A weak 3 Star Rating for now, I'll write an updated review when we return for breakfast sometime.

This is a unique restaurant where the owner verbally tells you the menu and then asks you what you want. The food is made (or microwaved) to order and comes in generous portions (don't ask how big a portion is, he has no answer for you). We got the Hummus, Cauliflower, and Koshary between 2 people, which gave us enough for leftovers the next day. While there is no air conditioning, the food is good enough to sit and sweat through eating. Would highly recommend if you're looking for that "hole-in-the-wall" experience.

The owner tells you what is available, and you choose, and then he cooks and serves you. The process is not quick, but we were a family group of five and enjoyed examining the dense decorations of our surroundings while we waited for the delicious food. Our meal included an outstanding beet salad, cauliflower in pomegranate sauce, foul (mashed fava beans with vegetables), lamb shank, lamb tagine, fish in a clay pot, and koshary (a mixture of chickpeas, macaroni, rice, and tomato). Everything was so good, and portions were generous so that there was a good deal left to take home. We would absolutely return and recommend.
