KC and Renee have both done an amazing job on my nails every 3 weeks and everyone else does a great job as well. I held off on really posting my review but since I'm getting my nails fixed finally, I remembered this draft: Yikes! Very very horrible customer service from a very very rude tech. Normally when I walk in, if I have a particularly difficult design that I would like someone to give a go, I show them my inspiration picture and then ask if they feel comfortable trying out a design similar to the one in the photo. I started off the same way here, asking if they could do my first choice and even my second choice if the first was difficult. I was then met with a long, and particularly nasty rant about designs hiding poor work, asking for designs based from photos being theft, and the current state of my nails. At this point I could tell I probably was not going to be getting the design that I came in for. He made further comments on the "Poor shape and uneven nails" as well as making a point to show me the couple spots he had to glue. Yes, that's exactly why I came into the nail salon. It's been three weeks since I've gotten my nails done. This is going to be my second backfill. I'm not expecting my nails to look the best as if I just asked for a completely new full set. I felt horrible the entire time I was getting my nails done. One fill and no design later, I am up at the register asking for the breakdown on my pricing because it doesn't quite seem right for just a fill. However, she proceeds to tell me that I am being charge for three fixed nails and the reshape on top of my fill. Don't get me wrong, this definitely was not about the price. But I just sat through an uncomfortable hour and 15 minutes of this man claiming he is the end all be all of acrylics. Something just didn't sit right with me having him charge what seemed like the base price I normally pay for a new gel set when all he did was a fill and paint my nails, cut me with the dremel, and act like gods gift to the nail community. My nail tech then walks out and again starts on about how he had to fix my poorly done nails and that he explained this to me and that I had agreed to this. NOT ONCE did he tell me pricing or ask if I wanted a particular service or not. From previous reviews, it seems this isn't their first time using shady tactics. So if you're wanting to possibly deal with liars or scammers, this is the place. I was finally offered to have that charge removed if I was ok with him not doing my nails again. Fine by me. He then proceeded to tell the poor girl at the register to "put my name on his list "so that he would not do my nails again. No worries there, I don't want to give a self righteous, egotistical, sub par nail tech, business. I have only been here two times before when I am not able to make it out to my regular salon. The other techs seem sweet and actually listen when you say you would like a design done. But as I sit here looking at the uneven nails and odd filing on the underside as well as a few air bubbles or acrylic dust on my polish itself, it's just not worth it in my opinion. If you've read this far, please do yourself a favor and go to The Nail Logic up the street. SanTan Nails, You're worse than the ex that gave me social anxiety. This place is more expensive than other nail salons for mediocre work. I had to keep telling them to cut my nails shorter bc they are too long and they didn't want to cut them, when he finally did he didn't cut them even. I cut my own nails all the time and I like them on the shorter side so if that's what I ask for then cut them. The massage was nice but only put one coat of polish on my nails. I've been to this location years ago and wasn't happy then either but was in the area and thought I'd go here for convenience but that was a mistake. Also, they won't accept tip on a card but I don't carry cash so it's either card or no tip. read more

I came in for my first time today and really enjoyed it. Sam was very friendly and did an excellent job on my nails. The cost for a gel manicure was about $10 higher than I've ever paid (costs $32 here), which I would say was the only upsetting part. Overall, I was very pleased. read more

I hate being pressured to pick out a color. Maybe they should include the gel colors in the waiting room. I waited 5 minutes there, with no colors to review. Once they took me back, they stare at you while you look for your color. I would have liked a few minutes without the pressure to make a decision. In addition, my daughter's cell polish started coming off in a week. This salon charged $33 for a gel mani when most charge $30. read more

Start to finish, worst experience ever! We walked in, lady at the front was on the phone for a few minutes. The manager came over and asked what we were here for which we said 2 pedicures and 1 gel manicure. He said the lady will check us in after she's off the phone. She finally ends the call and says sorry and picks up another call and we are still standing there. The manager finally comes back over and gets us and says he will check us in since she isn't. We sit down and the water is boiling hot in each of ours. The lady gave us the colors to look at and I asked if she had rose gold and she kept pointing to gold and I kept asking rose gold and pointed to my necklace and refused to look at my necklace and help me find the color I wanted. She kept trying to get us to upgrade to a different pedicure too even though we said no several times. The guy came over to do my gel manicure and I didn't move the entire time he was using the tools but he jabbed my finger and it started stinging/burning and bleeding and not one apology he just continued being not careful after the tools he painted my nails. I received no lotion no hand massage nothing. The lady saw I was upset that was doing my mom's pedicure and she saw it was bleeding and she used a cotton ball and nail polish remover. My finger is still super red and tender from hours ago. We talked to the manager and said I never got lotion or a hand massage or anything and that the other guy hurt my finger and he felt bad when I was crying. I just wanted my nails to look pretty since I got engaged a few days ago. Nobody came and put on our sandals or let us know we could go to the front so we just sat there and finally got up. I asked the lady at the front if I could put on lotion since nobody put it on me. I'm disappointed and won't return, this was my first time here and I will not recommend to anyone. I was getting my finger nails and toes done for a special time in my life and the lack of customer service and being careless and not giving me all the services it says on the paper I should be receiving for the money paid. Such a waste for an awful experience. Not to mention the lady only put sugar scrub on one of my mom's legs and forgot the other leg. And on the way out when we paid the lady answered the phone so nobody said bye or thank you or have a good day. We walked out and agreed this was the worst experience. read more

I came over here all the way from Texas to spend time with my mom and sister. We decided to come here for pedicures. Each of our services was about 60$-75$ and they just really rush threw our service. He exfoliated my legs for not even two minutes. They weren't that friendly. The massage was mediocre. They rubbed my legs instead of massaging it. The hot stone was also just a minute rub. This salon is SO BEAUTIFUL but the service didn't match. They barely cut the cuticles so obviously they got the gel on the cuticles. And they also didn't get close enough to the cuticles. What is going on? We came here for the great reviews so we got the best package. And it wasn't great. My mom and I experience a lot of pain when they took off our shellac. My tech didn't even take off my shellac until the end of the service. He didn't buff the nail at all. Just put the gel on. My toe nail isn't even straight. If you don't take off the polish on the toe, how do you see what you're doing to the nail bed? You don't. My mom got a manicure and again they didn't even cut the cuticles? Extra 17$ for what? She didn't even want polish on the nails. She just her cuticles done. They did absolutely nothing for $17. This wasn't the mother daughter experience I was looking for. Our grand total was over 200$ and we left unsatisfied. We still made sure to tip them 20% of the service. Also. We can understand Vietnamese. My sister maybe a "young mom" but she a great mom. The nail tech I had did both my toes and fingers. I had a pedicure and a nail change. During the pedicure there were a few times where the tech actually hurt my feet. She said it was because of a new file. She was harsh on my toes. My color change was rushed and since I wasn't getting gel didn't seem a priority - I also didn't have a top coat added which made the polish chip easily. read more

I went in yesterday to get my nails done...I got the SNS powder and it looks great! I also got a pedicure which turned out very nice as well but....during the pedicure the technician really hurt my cuticle to the point where I was bleeding...last night my toe started hurting and this morning I woke up with an infection..I really love this place and the way they have remodeled is amazing. But I paid $90! For these prices I shouldn't be experiencing this...I am in a lot of pain now...I would appreciate a response back from the owner on how you plan on correcting this for me. I have be going to this nail salon for years. We had appointments 3 weeks in advance for a special occasion. When we got there, the owner Mimi told my daughter that her nail tech was already with another customer and had one more waiting. We inquired as to why my daughter's appointment was given to someone else. She blamed her husband Calvin. She did not apologize or say another tech could see her. Mimi just said "you will be waiting a long time" when I told her how disappointed I was with her customer service, she denied saying the comment even though my daughter, my sister and I heard it. She doesn't care about the customer, she is not a nice person at all. You can tell the atmosphere is different when she's around. I love San Tan Nails and Spa! I went for a gel manicure and a gel pedicure for the first time and even though they were looking busy they had no problem fitting me in right away. Nikki took her time on my pedicure and even let me keep the file and disposable tools so I can take care of my feet at home -- that's getting every dollar's worth. She was also SO friendly. Some salons struggle to find these kinds of employees. She went the extra mile and then some. The front desk girl Karen is kind and acknowledges you right when you walk in. I have never been treated as if I don't matter as a customer until my experience with the current owner Mimi who I've known for sometime. I had scheduled my appt 3 weeks in advance like I always do. I was told my nail tech was with someone else and she had a different appt right after, and if I wanted my nails done I would have to wait a long time. Mimi did not apologize for the scheduling error or offer an alternative solution for their mistake. She then proceeded to argue blaming her husband Kalvin for the error instead of trying to resolve the mixup. Clean clean clean. What a nice place. The chairs are state of the art and with their cleaning system you can rest assured its sanitary. We took our daughter their as a surprise for graduating Kindergarten and needed to do 3 pedis at the same time. My daughter got dipped nails and they look like they glued jelly beans to her fingers. Mine were so uneven and when I asked if she was going to trim cuticles she said that was extra and I should have asked at the beginning. Honestly super rushed job for both of us and when I asked if they were going to smooth hers down so they weren't so thick the technician got defensive and blamed it on the color she picked.
