My employer has a yearly softball tournament. The tournament usually has at least five teams and employees from all of the Houston area are welcome to participate. The event is usally a lot of fun with a great turn out. The park can definitely accomodate large groups as the parking lot holds at least 500 cars, the only thing is that it is some 200-300 feet from the fields. But, a little walking never hurt anyone. To rent the space you would have to call the city of Pasadena. A few years back, it was about $125 per field. But I heard from the this year's organizers it was about $450 for three fields. They also have a concession stand they open for events, such as ours. The food is not too expensive and the staff there is friendly. It's funny because every time we go play, I think of joining a league and play softball! Then, when I wake up sore the next day... I change my mind. They do have leages that play in spring and summer, so if you are interested, definitely look them up. I think it's like $290 per teams or something like that. The fields are well maintained and the umps are cool usually but as far as bringing the little ones to go not only watch but have something to do there's not really much. Pulling in the sign is very visible and you can see where to go, but the field are missing number and the bathrooms are okay I guess, they could be a lot better if I say so myself. The city could also add some kid friendly stuff to maybe bring out more families and kids when playing the game. The lighting is okay but usually there's a lot of folks out playing for teams who's around coming and going from games. We all have our opinions on things but I'll continue to go cause I love the game of softball.

We were in the area visiting for husband's…read morework training and it was great to be able to get outside in the sun in the morning (in August), yet stay cool and have fun. This is completely free and open to the public, you just walk right in. The splash pad is right by the playground, tennis courts, and volleyball courts. Super impressed with the maintenance of the entire area--it's very well maintained, grass was cut short, splash pad was clean, water was clean and draining well, there was even a maintenance crew at the park next door working the area. It's in a great neighborhood area too. I was so grateful for the fully shaded picnic tables along with a very small shaded area of the splash pad. It was great to bring our lunch & snacks all while enjoying some free water fun! I wish every city had one of these! SO COOL!

This year we signed our kid up to play here for the convenience and we loved it! The fields were really nice. Sometimes the kids played on the softball fields which were real dirt and grass. Fields had bleachers and lights. The last game the kids played on the turf baseball field. These fields seemed really nice. (Though, I personally have never played on turf, let alone slid on a turf field). There are restroom facilities here, though, I never used them. It is kind of a hike to get to from the softball fields... closer for the baseball fields. There is also a playground and pavilion. On the far side of the complex off of Kingsley, there is an BRAND NEW all-inclusive playground. It's pretty amazing. There is a restroom and drinking fountain at this amenity too. My husband said he believes the enclosed baseball field next to the playground might be for deaf kids??? I can't confirm. There are also soccer fields here. My kids aren't into soccer yet so I can't say much about them. They do appear to be turf fields as well. Nonetheless, this complex is pretty awesome and I'm proud it's in our community.

For our families who are traveling with their kids to compete, there was a playground for the little kids that was covered under a tent so that they can play without the heat. During the summertime, I can see parents and family and friends watching the game from the oasis building. The south shore oasis building has large glass windows that parents can watch the games from while having an adult bev. Inside the oasis building, they sell food, drinks, and even alcohol for adult. Oasis building also has a bathroom inside, which is really nice. As far as parking there were plenty of parking spaces and it was very easy to get to this location for the tournament. The closest hotel would be the Fairfield, which is not even half a mile from the baseball fields. T I had two orders of churros which came out to be like 10 bucks. Chicken strips and french fries that came out to be about $20. My advice for families who come here and want to save money is: bring a reusable water bottle and filled with water to bring to the field otherwise you're paying about four dollars for a bottle of water. If you want to order real food, you can get it delivered through DoorDash and meet them at the front gate of the baseball field. They do allow you to bring in food and drinks as long as there is no glass. If money is on issue then there's plenty of food drinks and alcoholic beverage choices. They also have breakfast and lunch menu menus as well as chips, drinks and snacks. Also, for those who are wondering what kind of seats they have , it's the stadium style seats like they have at the Astros game. Individual seats It is not the metal bench that will get hot in the summertime. Plus I also like that the sun is behind you when you're watching the game. These are games from 8am-2pm.

I signed my son up for batting training with a person by the name of rocky. I took my son to the…read morebusiness which was very nice inside, and he went into a batting cage for his first training session. For some reason, he only pitched when he was scheduled to bat. I later learned that the facility does not provide bats to its customers. When he was finished, the person that was coaching him, completely ignored me. It seemed very strange that he was only talking to my son and seemed to act as if I wasn't there. My son asked to look at baseball bats and he showed us one for $599. We left and I asked my son why the employee never bothered to speak to me or even introduce himself. My son was wondering the same and thought it was strange. We did schedule a follow-up appointment for this week and I just called and canceled it. I believe there are other baseball training facilities that would not only be more than happy to take my money, they would at least take the time to introduce themselves to a child's parent, especially someone who told my son that he previously played professional baseball.

I did go on a slow day that had rain and it was in the middle of the week. I was a lifeguard as a teen and definitely get how boring it can be with no one in your zone or on really slow days but there were guards not even watching the pool. The head guard did redirect once that I saw but I just decided to enjoy my time with my family and ignore that. The pool was pretty clean and the grounds didn't have much trash but the bathroom was horrendous. The urine smell hits before you even get in the door. Made me scared to even use the bathroom. Other than the lifeguards not really paying attention when no one was int their zone and the bathrooms we still had a great time. There was plenty of parking, we were able to take our own drinks and food, and enjoyed the pool.
