The play equipment is a little old and showing signs of use (understandably) but still totally functional. There's a play area for toddlers that has a canvas cover and a larger play area for older kids. There's also a tall structure with slides, swings, tennis courts and a pool. Parking was easy and there was an open grassy area for team sports with some scattered benches and trees. The play area had mulched rubber instead of woodchips which I'm a fan of (those woodchips get everywhere!). Overall this park was a-okay, we might put it in rotation but there are better in the area.

He took us to the Ghirardi Family Watersmart Park. I was impressed by the cisterns they had and everything that was going on in this location. The playground was the perfect size for my girl and she loved running around it. There are benches and picnic tables throughout. There is a nice small pavilion and bathroom for park guests as well. The trees here are magnificent! If you are looking for a park that isn't crowded in the League City area I would absolutely recommend this one! I hope to go back when we are in the area.

This park is the perfect combination of traditional playground and nature reserve. There are so…read moremany mature trees to provide shade. My kids found huge egret bird nests in the tree canopy. There's a new playground set for the kids. I would beware the monkey bars, though. I saw a little boy break his arm. It's my favorite place to be during sunset. I had my son's Pokémon birthday party there under the covered pavilion and that was a great party! We searched for Pokémon in the area. The bathroom is always tidy. There was that one time though that a velociraptor chased after my kids, but we managed to escape its clutches. Otherwise it's a really great park to visit.

But it is new and well-maintained. Not many people know about it so it doesn't get crowded on the weekends. It has everything a dog park should have and the owners that bring their dogs over there seemed attentive.

Finally, a park with the senior citizen in mind! LOVE IT! Today, I took my husband along with his…read morewalker and our dog, Oreo, to Carbide Park in LaMarque, TX. What a nice day! What I loved the most was that my husband was able to navigate a good portion of the park with his walker. We parked in the north lot at first. There was a nice concrete path that led from the north parking lot across a fun bridge and almost down to the area where the senior playground is. The rest of the path was in gravel, which he was still able to navigate with his walker (probably will be difficult for some walkers, but his has four big wheels and a seat). He got plenty of exercise with his walk, resting now and then on his seat! I then left him at the senior playground to wait for me while I walked back, got the car, and drove down to the parking lot there. Then, I had fun using the equipment that was there, including the swing! Fun day, especially since my husband could enjoy it with me. If you have a handicapped loved one and need a fun place to go, try Carbide Park!

The trail surrounding the bayou is scenic and provides some great shaded areas for hot days. The park also has a softball field with benches! Perfect for my fav childhood game...KICKBALL. There's a pool, playground equipment, a skateboard park, and the best thing, it's the start of the Seabrook Trails! Ok, so I'm not sure if this is the official start, but the Seabrook Lucky Trails Marathon starts here, so that's what I'm going with! There's a lot of parking, but it does get full when all the runners meet for their runs. BARC meets here on Sundays at 6:30 and Team RWB likes to meet here as well, but those times vary. There are a few different ways to start on the trails, but they all meet up together, so pick whichever route you like. It's about a 6 mile loop if you start here and run down to Pine Gully Park and back. There are some other trails you can take off to the side to add more miles, though, or just do the loop twice for 12 miles! There are bathrooms and water fountains here, plus at various parks along the way, but definitely bring your hydration and maybe some toilet paper if you're a girl as the bathrooms don't always have that. Definitely check this place out. It's a great park, and lot of of fun, plus the trails are definitely a hidden gem in Seabrook!

There used to be a diving board, but it has recently been replaced with 3 different styles of water slides which are pretty fun to go down even for adults. There's a patio in front that can be rented out for parties with two full grills, basketball and baseball areas, and a nice sized shaded playground also. Overall a great area with plenty to do.
