You'll see a water fountain, a MERR sign (short for merry?) and some statue bust displays of Mr. Hall and Helen herself. It's clear they had some positive footprints on the League City area based on the information written on their bust displays. Small amount of parking, it's worth stopping by for the 5-10 minutes and strolling around forgetting your troubles.

These neighborhood parks have something in common; they lack proper walking trails and offer the…read morebare minimum. Situated in the middle of a neighborhood, I stopped here to get some steps in. The sidewalk led from the main parking lot into the bigger lot with the water tower. They have restrooms on site that were open and subpar clean. Of course, there's a dog park and a children playground. A fairly big park including a baseball field area. Pretty basic and standard park. Nothing more to do or enjoy. Very simple.

This park is so calming, even when it's packed with people…read more Plenty of parking, good paved running trail, bike trail along the back, good scenery with the lake, playground for the kids, outdoor workout station and frisbee golf (if you're into that). The running trail seems to be about .8 miles a lap, with markers for 5 and 10k runs. You will see plenty of turtles and ducks, the fishing is decent, expect to catch catfish. This park doesn't have it all, but it's a good mid size park with friendly people. Dog owners can be annoying, especially those with pits bulls, and the ones that don't pick up after their dogs . Unfortunately not everyone disposes of their trash property and this results in little on the banks of the lake. At night don't be surprised if you see some rats (nature), and plenty of duck poop which can be surprisingly large . Bonus: there is a good size hill on the south side of the park, it is good for climbing, rolling, and uphill sprints. Have fun!

I live 10 mins away and have never been. With the end of summer break approaching, I figured it was…read morethe best time to check it out. I applied some mosquito spray and ventured out. This place is awesome!!! Their gift store is filled with cute things and the staff is so helpful with recommending trails. While there I saw a bison, snakes, skunks, turtles, and so much more. They have a butterfly garden and a bird viewing center...that I was tempted to sit at and listen for too long. There are lakes where I saw a couple of different baby alligators and a camouflaged frog! The visitor center is filled with info and some spots to take pics. I learned a lot and am so glad I stopped by. I'll be back on the weekend when I can sign up for a pontoon ride!

The ladies restroom looks like a crime scene; it's so creepy. I couldn't even bring myself to walk inside to occupy it. The random tunnel in the ceiling and the overly large giant old fashioned AC unit above the poorly lit stalls. I know I got an eerie feeling about it, so I immediately left. The whole pavilion where the restrooms are housed are outdated and give off that old mildew odor. The parking lot is big, but there isn't much secluded parts to eat lunch in the car, etc. It's a small park and there is one main area with watering hole. The park isn't as frequent. It's more of a meh place. It's okay. Ladies, please watch out for that restroom.
