Placed an order through DoorDash. The ribs were good and had a nice flavor. The loaded mashed potatoes were okay, but the potatoes themselves didn't really have much flavor outside of the toppings. This is an ordinary place with basically average food. Nothing to brag about. We came here because it was close, while charging our Electric vehicle. The location appears old and out of date, especially the bathroom (I can only speak for one of those), which is in serious need of repair and updating. It looks dark and dingy. Service was EXTREMELY slow, especially considering that it was far from crowded. Took 19 minutes to get water. The location was also quite warm inside. Which wasn't a great feeling in Louisiana Summer. Our Server came by and promised us pre-meal rolls twice, but after almost 30 minutes we assumed they would not come. And we weren't sure if our meals would come either. Salad arrived with stale croutons and was something o could have passed on to be honest. After roughly 40 minutes the rolls were literally dropped on the table and our Server almost sprinted away lol, I promise you I'm not kidding! The rolls were hot but had no taste at all, even with the butter & cinnamon spread. (It couldn't have been butter) We were now at 55 minutes and still didn't have our meals (2 burgers and chopped steak). Again, the place was not crowded. I wanted to leave, but the we were still charging the car, so we continued to just wait. A couple of people across from us appeared frustrated also, calling out to the Server at another location to ask for a box and their bill. After we passed the hour mark and still had no food, we contacted the manager and asked to pay for our rolls and the one salad, and we'd be leaving. He had just arrived and apologized profusely. I have not eaten here in years, but today we went there after doing something in Robert Louisiana. We could've gone to Mandeville & Covington area or go to Hammond which is further away from or house. We decided to go to Hammond and go to Santa Fe for a first time in many many years.. We sat down at 2pm and a little while later our waitress came and took our drink orders plus our appetizer order, plus asked her to bring a taster of the Jack Daniels & chipotle sauce. Our drink order was 2 cokes, 2 sweet teas extra lemons, a Michelob Ultra, & a Rum punch by 2:30 the beer & rum punch,the sauces, and appetizer were still not brought to our table. Please keep this in mind. The restaurant opens up at 11 AM.. We then asked for the manager because of what was going on, come to find out. They ran out of both sauces and have yet to replace them by fixing new batches at 2:30 in the afternoon. This goes back to the management staff that they have no sense of priority making sure they ready to wait on the customers!!! we finally ordered our food. It came out in a timely basis after we ordered it. After sitting there for one hour and 30 minutes to eat our lunch. The restaurant was quite hot due to their big fan in the restaurant was broken and was not working. When it came down to leave and get our bill, I asked for a sweet tea to go and our waitress informed us they were out of to go cups. Another item they don't have. Management of this restaurant needs to get their act together. The powers to be over. This restaurant needs to look at this location more severely. On the way home back to the Covington Mandeville area, we decided that we won't go back there to eat anytime soon because of the service and the conditions. We dropped over $180 on this bad experience. This is what makes it crazier is because we had to witness this Piss Poor Management team and their GM and Corporate Management team is doing nothing to correct the problems!!! Even the side door on the west side of the building has nice size crack under the door, I wonder how many pest are getting into the restaurant this way. read more

It had been a while since we tried the restaurant, but we had a $15 off coupon and decided to go give it a try. We had a couple beer and the southwest eggrolls and onion rings as an appetizer. Everything was starting off good. The place was not busy so it was a peaceful dinner and our server was the bartender and she made sure we was well taken care of. My wife enjoyed her steak, said it was seasoned a little too much but was nice and tender. My chicmen was seasoned a little too much as well and dry. The ribs were nice and tend ler and just came right off the bone. Overall, not a bad dinner but we have had better at this place. read more

Ate here several years ago, and food was great. It was a mistake to revisit while in the area. My spouse and my granddaughter ordered the fajitas, while I ordered the hamburger steak. The first complaint was that their plates were cold. Usually fajitas are on hot plates, but the cast iron plates were not even warm. My spouse wanted fries and the waitress told her that only waffle fries were available. Moments later we saw 2 plates full of regular fries go past us. I ordered sweet potato casserole and a salad. The casserole tasted like a frozen box type and the salad came out after the entree. Overall, the visit was disappointing. The restaurant appeared dingy and in need of a refresh. The ceiling was leaking and there were buckets throughout the restaurant. When spending $90+ one would hope that the food would better. We won't return. read more

Arrived to pick up food, told to go to bar. Bartender then said you need go over there and pointed, I said sorry they told me come here and she stated I dont know why they would do that. I walked over to where the togo window was, there was a woman standing there looking at her phone. After standing right in front of her for a min I finally said hello I'm here to pick up my togo order. She didnt even ask my name, she grabbed the bag off the counter and put it in the window. I know I didnt tip when I ordered online, I always tip when I arrive. I ordered the Ribeye Hoagie and Chicken Fried Steak dinner. The Ribeye was not good, very fatty. I ordered it with sauteed bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and the Jack daniels glaze. Didnt get the bell peppers or glaze. Service 4 stars, food 2 stars. I should have known not to eat here when I walked in and felt how humid it was and the whole place smelled like mold and grease. The only good thing I can say about the food is that they got out orders right. We came here because my boyfriend grew up in the area and really liked one of their burgers. Apparently it used to have queso on it, now it's just a cheese burger with bacon, which we could have made at home. The steak was undercooked. I ordered medium well and got medium/medium rare. It was also very bland. Sweet potato fries were overcooked. Rolls were good, but we could tell they were just frozen yeast rolls. They don't have cinnamon butter anymore. Only garlic better which was very overpowering. Our server Billy was wonderful, no complaints about him. Unfortunately we won't be back. read more

Just don't even stop here! We waited till 11 to walk up to the doors and the hostess on the inside tried to open a door and it wouldn't open then she pushed on the other door and it opened. We walked in and she walked through the 2nd doors with 2 menus in her hand and just kept walking disappearing around a corner. If she said for us to follow her we never heard her. My husband asked where the bathrooms were and he was told turn left and in the back. He said the smell back by the kitchen and restrooms was horrible. The bathroom floors appeared to have been mopped with the kitchen mop. It was freezing cold at our table and when the waitress was asked if they could turn it down she said I'll have to check. They could have moved us. While there, a beeper was going off in the kitchen 2 different times. First time it was turned off after about a min. The 2nd time it was going off for about 2 mins. If that was an alarm for something cooking nobody was even responding to it. Another alarm went off in the kitchen and it took a min for it to be turned off as well. We did get our drinks (that we didn't even touch) and the waitress was supposed to come back to take our order. A man at a table near us walked in a door that set off the fire alarm and it took forever for them to reset it. That was it for us. The waitress still hadn't come back and I walked out and let the hostess know we hadn't touched our drinks. I almost picked another place after reading some of the reviews but decided to give it a chance since there were some really good reviews recently. Will not go back to this location. Drove over to Margaritas Mexican and had a very nice meal. read more

Came here to eat on thursday night and had an absolute blast! Our server's name was Mel and I could tell she was very experienced. Her disposition was perfect and we did not have to wait on a single thing we asked for! I am not the easiest customer, as I can be quite picky and demanding, and Mel was able to fulfill every request I made with no problems. The food was as good as it always is, but this was hands down the best experience I've ever had at this location, purely because of Mel's hard work. Whatever you're paying her it's not enough! By far this was the worst experience my husband and I have had at this restaurant. The hostess was sweet but the service went down hill after we were seated. We had to ask for utensils and napkins. Then when the appetizer came we had to ask for plates. The waiter was slow and scattered. I ordered Sante Fe chicken with sweet potato casserole and broccoli and my husband a steak. The sweet potatoes and broccoli were both dried out. The broccoli was not seasoned and was rubbery. My husband NEVER eats steak sauce on steak but his steak was so dry he had to use steak sauce. I genuinely don't know where to start. The service was not very good. Server was polite, but only passed by us one time and we were not able to get refills. She did the very bare minimum, which is understandable on a busy night, but we were her only table and one of the only groups in the restaurant. On another note, the food was abysmal. Everything was lukewarm to cold in temperature, very bland, and our plates were missing ingredients from the menu. I can understand orders being incomplete or incorrect in the slightest, but there is too much to list that was distasteful. We both ordered steaks medium-rare and they were scorched with no "pink" in the core at all. The fries were overcooked to the point that they were like potato chips. The fried pickle starter was undercooked and still cold in the center and the breading was covered in grease and falling off the pickle in a full piece. The only thing that was good was the rolls that are free of charge. Wouldn't recommend, just go to Texas Roadhouse and drive the extra 20-30 minutes. read more

this place is impressively awful. today was my partner and i's 4 year anniversary and we thought we'd go get some steaks to celebrate but that was a huge mistake. first of all, it was lunch time on a weekend and no one was there (first red flag). we were sat at a table with sterile, hospital-like lighting. our food (we got a sirloin and a ribeye) had absolutely no flavor. A1 didn't even help. it was like eating tough ground meat. the mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like dirt. how do you mess up mashed potatoe??? we couldn't even finish our food it was so bad. and it was like adding salt to the wound when they brought out the $55 check. never going back to this awful place ever again. read more
