I ordered through Uber eats and explain that I had a pepper allergy. The sauce contains red pepper flakes when I called to explain this they said oh well there's not a lot. It doesn't matter to me if there's a lot or not I'm still allergic and my throat swelled. I do not recommend. read more

Excellent Pizza and great service from Melody. I will definitely return soon. So glad a sign outside saying they were open account of the rain. Also cleanliness was top notch! read more

Just moved to Chelsea, figured I'd try a different pizza besides the usual. I was pretty disappointed in the pizza. Taste was fine, but it was a greasy mess. Picked up one alice and everything slide off as it flopped right over. It was as if you stuck a crispy pizza in some shallow water for a few minutes. I was hoping for better, but guess I'll keep looking. read more

Sanpeggio's Pizza - Yikes - Pizza Near Me - Chelsea, Alabama

Very friendly. I really like the Greek salad for on the go. I appreciate that the diet cokes are always crispy and never flat. The white pizza is delish! The inside is a little dated, but clean. Overall this is one of my regular quick go to dinner places because I love that salad and I can add the chicken as my protein and request extra olive and feta. never had a bad experience with the staff. It is easiest to order with the app!!!!! Download Sanpeggios app instead of calling, but you can also call if you prefer. read more

The food here is fabulous. Have not had a bad meal yet. The people that work there are amazing

Literally just ordered a large white pizza hand tossed you get delivered here and it's thin crust and not even cut properly read more

It's a shame. I use to love Sanpeggio's pizza. I would have even rated it above average compared to any other mainstream brand, especially in the Birmingham area. But just like a bad boyfriend, I've finally smelled the roses and decided to leave them. I don't know if there are new owners, but the quality of the food has deteriorated to below cafeteria level. The past few orders have left with my uncooked dough, cheap sauce, unproperly cut slices, and a cheese that I can only describe as wet wall plaster. Oh and the OIL! The oil deserves its own special spot because look - pizza isn't exactly a healthy food item, but when you transfer 3 slices up the plate, the grease/oil amount is enough to make a puddle... You're right about doing something wrong, or especially using cheap ingredients. Which would explain the incredibly salty taste from all the preservatives. I want old Sanpeggio's back. But just like a bad boyfriend, I've realized that it's time for me to move on. read more

Always great food and service. Manager was fantastic in helping with order. Ordered extra large thin crust. This is my families favorite pizza . read more

Great Pizza and Sandwiches Awesome service. Been a local stable in Chelsea for a long time.

The Little Caesars across the street would provide exactly the same pizza. Preformed dough, sauce from a can, conveyor belt oven, cheese burnt until almost black (I provided a photo) Salads pre-boxed. Anyone with a pulse could run this place it was absolutely the worst. Never ever again. read more

Sanpeggio's Pizza - Pizza with extra crispy......cheese - Pizza Near Me - Chelsea, Alabama

We get Sanpeggio's frequently. Today was disappointing. Bread sticks were over cooked and no dipping sauce with them. The supreme pizza had all the toppings in the middle of the pizza and the veggies were not cooked (seemed an after thought). We waited for our order when we arrived and it was still cold. read more

Regretfully this review is not about the food quality, but customer service. I ordered a supreme Pizza and upon arrival, I inspected the pizza and there were no mushrooms. When I told the employee about it, he took it to the back, came back up and stated "They must be under the cheese. Have a good day." Clearly they were unwilling to fix the issue. I waited and contacted the manager on the next business day, but she was out of town for the week and I spoke to the shift leader (very helpful and friendly). He apologized for the situation and assured me I would be getting a refund. I waited 2 weeks and it never came through. When I called back to figure out the situation, I spoke with another employee (very UNFRIENDLY) who refused to allow me to talk to the manager (apparently by her words she was too busy). He then lied to me stating they have always had a no refund policy. I asked for his name and he refused to give it to me and then I asked for the managers name and I was told "her name is Sanpeggio's Manager". I then tried to contact another location to get in touch with a district manager and no one is willing to contact me back. This really is disappointing because the food really has been great and one of our favorite pizzas, but to be talked to so rudely and not be called back is just unacceptable. The toppings were already becoming less and less, but to not get what I paid for and try to get it fixed and be told no is not something I am willing to deal with any longer. read more

I have not been to Sanpeggio's in a few years. I came back twice recently and I feel their crust is much better or maybe it was always good and after having bad pizza I came to appreciate Sanpeggio's. Good pizza and good service. I'm a loyal customer again! read more

Pizza was good! Cheesy bread was great. Ordering was easy and the food was ready on time. Marinara sauce wasn't much to write home about but the food seemed fresh. This was my second experience with them and I haven't been disappointed. We ordered the pizza well done and we are glad we did. Bake was perfect. read more

Sanpeggio's Pizza - Meat Lovers well done - Pizza Near Me - Chelsea, Alabama

We are regular Sanpeggio's customers, eating there almost every other week. Lately, they have started skimping on the toppings. I called and discussed it with the manager two weeks ago and she offered to make us another pizza - which I declined. I just wanted her to have an opportunity to correct their process so they don't lose business. I assured her we would give her another opportunity. Well, this weekend, we ordered our usual and they did put a little (very little) more toppings on it, but certainly not enough to make it worth buying another one. It is sad to lose a good pizza place, but it is sadder to pay good money for a mediocre pie. read more

Always had good good pizza from here. I'm moving back to the neighborhood and look forward to the renewed tastes.

Pizza and pasta are both good. The wings however, are not edible. But, Ident usually go to an Italian restaurant for wings anyway.

Slimy wings, undercooked pizza, and some of the worst customer service I've seen from a restaurant. You're better off going to Dominoes or some other chain place that's made their name on mediocrity. These guys are a joke. Don't go here. read more

Quoted 20 mins when I ordered. At the 45 min it came out of the oven. Only one little problem. They only made 2 of the 3 I paid for. So now it's been 50 mins and 2 pizzas are getting cold. The staff does not care and got ugly when I guestioned if they would stay hot sitting ON TOP of the heat lamp. I try and support local owned and this is what I get. read more

Best pizza in South Birmingham area! Hot and fresh every time. The Spinach and Alfredo pizza is to die for! We love Sanpeggio's Pizza!

Sanpeggio's Pizza - a pizza on a pan - Pizza Near Me - Chelsea, Alabama

This company easily won the WORST customer service award for 2021 in my books. It starts with me ordering a large pizza, medium pizza and two calzones via Yelp. I show up to the location and there is a busy line and once I get to the front, the young man refuses to release my food unless I pay at the terminal. I politely try to explain I paid via Yelp and he refuses. I had three hungry kids in the car and had literally just moved into the neighborhood so I had no food in my fridge. So I was irritated by the rude cashier but had to feed my kids so I paid and tipped him less. He told me to call back to settle whether I was double charged or not. Well... when I call back two days later, the young woman who answered was not as rude but the "owner" tried to tell me I had to dispute with Yelp and that they don't even service Yelp orders but grub hub only. They obviously don't understand Yelp and Grub hub are the same company. So no resolution on that call. A week or two later a man named Kumar called me to discuss the matter. He was very combative and contentious- so much I had to hand the phone to my husband. He tried to persistently tell me that they don't accept Yelp orders.. so how did you have mine when I got there to pick it up!? It was insane. He ended by saying he would reverse the charge from the store but a month later there has been no credit. I paid $140 for garbage pizza and a customer service nightmare. Customer beware. read more

I placed a pick up order at Sanpeggio's in Chelsea today since I was in the area. I was happy to see a mask requirement sign hanging on the front door when I entered. However, I was super disappointed that the cashier was not wearing a mask. I requested for him to put one on before I paid and he did. However, the other worker who peeked at me from the back was maskless too. When I got to my car, I couldn't dismiss the thought of a maskless person preparing my food. So, I threw my lunch away and went to Subway. I was so disappointed because I had been looking forward to Sanpeggio's pizza. I used to love to their food when I visited the ones in the Oak Mountain and Hoover area. All workers wore masks at Subway. read more

Very limited menu I ordered to stay but they still bring it in aluminum thing as if it was to go anyway. Have to use a plastic fork - no silverware. No napkins dispensers on the tables. The sauce was good. There were not many meet balls on the spaghetti... and they were small and didn't taste right The baked ziti is good. I think the portions are too small. I was unimpressed with the garlic bread. read more

Best pizza in Chelsea by far. Love their ranch dressing for my wings. Service is great as well.

Good spot for the family. Small local shop is nice and they so have a big table for a larger family However the prices are high and I have always found the cheese to be very greasy and end up with an upset stomach. Wife likes it though. read more

Supposed to be the best pizza in Chelsea. This is by far the worst pizza we've had in Alabama. The lunch buffet had only 3 types of pizza, that was it. And it was not good. Little Ceasers has a better pizza in my opinion. Included in the lunch deal was a drink. They had Pepsi products but no Diet Pepsi. Overall, not impressed! read more

We used to LOVE this place, but the food has went downhill. Furthermore, the staff acts like they are miserable working there (even if they are, hide it!). Good pizza for a decent price. The pepperoni is a bit spicier than I expected, but that is a good thing.

Very good pizza, calzones, greek salad, etc. We pick up here often. It cost more than the chain stores do but it's worth it. Had to give 4 stars because they keep forgetting the salad for takeout. Always check your order. read more

Way above the ordinary. Hand-made and high quality. This is the place for excellent pizza. Much better than the Little Caesars!

I was told this was the best pizza in Chelsea, but was very disappointed with the two I ordered. They were not only very expensive, but one wasn't what we ordered, and they were very bland. I would much rather eat a $8 three topping domino's pizza than their $20 pizza. read more
