Atlanta's healthiest community rests along Decatur and Clifton. Emory University, Hospitals and the Center of Disease Control are the triple crowns of this neighborhood. So the food has to bring its "A" game every day. Sankranti brings great food to to meet the high bar set by these residents, students, patients and staff. I enjoyed the Vegan Bowl at Sankranti with a slice of bread. It was health food with a kick of spices that were refreshing, nourishing and invigorating. On a hot southern day, I still sat outside in the fresh air because of their recessed eating outdoor option. Great spot. Drop by today! You'll be glad that you did.

Hours posted on door: 10:45 am - 9 pm daily. I had the Chana Masala bowl. It was spicier than I expected, but in a good way. I'd definitely get it again. The samosa was delicious also. I was less excited by the paratha bread, I just prefer naan. I got this to go, it was reasonably quick, similar to other restaurants nearby. Overall a great addition to Emory Village!

New place, or so we assumed by the "now open" signage. (We're from out of town.) The cafeteria style, fast causal setting was easy to follow. The staff was nice and service was fast. I chose the largest rice bowl. You get to choose a base (two types of rice or greens), a protein (curries) and then topping like shredded veggies, fried goodies like samosas or potato cakes, and sauces. You could also choose some flat breads on the side. Portions are fair, spices are there, and overall, a very versatile meal. Veg friendly, vegan friendly, could make it super 'unhealthy' with lots of fried add ons, or go fresh with raw veggies on top! My dining partners were pleased as well. We ate outside on the patio which was pleasant. Not a stellar meal but overall worth a try! Go check it out!

The food is flavorful and served hot. I appreciate being able to get two different proteins included in a standard bowl. The gentleman behind the counter was courteous and explained the dishes. The ambiance overall is quiet - there is indoor and outdoor seating so you can people watch while you eat or study in the corner. Comparing this location to an authentic Indian restaurant over at Patel Brothers wouldn't be fair. This restaurant's approach makes Indian cuisine more approachable overall. The paratha bread is yummy and a good side to add if you haven't had it before.

Menu unclear. Food ok. Service adequate. Mango lassi more like a powdered drink. Is food fresh? Fast food ambiance.

A very differently tasting food serving restaurant with all the flavorful North Indian main dishes…read more(Vegetarian only) at a very reasonable price and a pretty good ambience, then this should be the place for you. Would have gone past this building a 100 times and never did I notice this restaurant. Got here because someone recommended and it was very much worth it. Dine in at 7:30 PM was great with very less crown on a Thursday. THE FOOD: We ordered the North Indian Thali (says it's available until 3PM, looks like it's available through the dinner time as well). Was served in a nice Wooden board with Rice, Achar (pickle), Boondhi Raitha, Tandoori Roti (was soo good), Aloo Gobi masala, Shahi Paneer, Chole, Dhal Tadka and Paapad. The Chole was tasing so different and I guess it's the Amritsari Chole. The Shahi Paneer was top notch and Dal tadka as well. AlooGobi was super spicy but the taste was good. The single Roti piece is definitely not enough I feel, and would require another to complete the thali. Slightly pricey there I feel. We also got a AlooTikki Chaat and that tasted really good. The quantity was pretty much good for one person. I would say the spice levels were spot on. Not too much spicy (Honest these days are making it very spicy) or bland. Good quantity and sat well on the tummy. And literally did see a family enjoying their food very much and gave a very nice feeling while we were waiting for our food. SERVICE & AMBIENCE: The ambience was very much nice with all colorful wall paintings and aesthetics and wall hangings. Well lit. But there was some unpleasant smell that was kind of bothering us. I wish they address it. It wasn't crowded and the food arrived in less than 5-10minutes of ordering. The parking could be a concern. The staffs were very much courteous and polite. BOTTOMLINE: If you are in for a slightly Delhi based food flavor, I guess this should be your place. The curries are delicious and the restaurant is family friendly. Slightly pricey in my opinion. Would definitely visit here to try out other things. MY PICKS FOR YOU: North Indian Thali, AlooTikki Chaat, Chole curry

This vegetarian gem brings the true taste of Indian street food to Atlanta -- vibrant, flavorful, and oh-so-nostalgic. The Chole Bhature took me straight to the streets of Amritsar, while the Cheese Chilli Toast and Cheese Pav Bhaji had that unmistakable Mumbai zing! And don't even get me started on the Gulab Jamun -- served warm, soft, and melt-in-the-mouth good. Vibrant atmosphere and quick service are always a plus!! Their sweets counter is a festive dream -- we picked up some Diwali mithai, and every bite hit the mark.
