    Vada Pav
    Marni M.

Utilizing a coupon I had, I got their Vada pav which was the first time I ever had before. The cashier recommended that dish or the samosas. But since I've had samosas before I figured it was a perfect opportunity to try something new. I was glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed their soft potato filling inside well fried balls in soft rolls. The only thing that could have made the dish better would have been a sweet chutney sauce on the side to dip in. Establishment is a good size, casual, with easy parking that I could see myself coming back.

Chicken tikka bowl with chili garlic naan

This is one of my family's go-to for takeout. They have a ton of fun Indian fusion dishes and some classics as well. The naan pizza is a delicious, fun option, and I love the sauce on it. The deconstructed samosa is also a favorite and a huge option, I love that you can add some protein as well. The samosas can be a little spicier by themselves, but not in this bowl. They also do some creative limited options that are unique, like the croissant dabeli, which I thought was very flavorful but a little smaller than what I thought it would be. Most of the time, we get bowls, and I typically really enjoy them. They are very tasty, and there is something for everyone. The butter chicken and chicken tikka are my favorite, and the naan is a must-get. This last time, however, it was much spicier than normal and was spicy enough to make my hand red if I got any sauce on it. We got the spice level that we normally do, but it's possible that it got messed up because we ordered only. We'll definitely continue to go, but we might stick to ordering in person to make sure it isn't so spicy.

    Tikka Masala Burrito

I really enjoyed this place; the staff is friendly and thoughtful, the food is really good... the flavors are there. I had the tikka masala burrito and fries. The burrito was huge, I ate it in two sittings. The restaurant itself was very clean and has a nice vibe. They treated me with customer service and very pleasant... this goes a long way with me. I was only getting take out and this place left an impression on me. I will be coming back!

Curry up now is a small shop tucked away in a corner next to whole foods in a strip mall in Decatur. I was apprehensive about trying this place but glad I did. It was an afternoon date with wifey and we had had the thali! Its a self service restaurant so ordering was easy once you know what you want. And it's quick - not something you'd normally associate with Indian food. The dishes were flavourfull and colorful. I was hoping they had more items in the thali to try out, but it was filling so no complaints there They have an outdoor patio too, so good for a nice evening and your furry friends are welcome as well

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and ambiance! I highly recommend the Vada Pav Indian street food sandwich. It's the ultimate comfort food. I also love their tiki masala and mini samosas! Fast and friendly service too! I'll be back again!

Fun street food. Service was great!!! I love the sauce that came with the food. The carton that the to go food was in kept the food warm. Plenty of indoor seating. And a large menu. Flood seems very authentic.

Samosa with a bite missing- I was hungry

The second time I've been here with just over a year in between and the quality is better if not just as good as I remembered! I live about an hour and 15 minutes away so I haven't been back in a while. I ordered the samosas, the cauliflower Punjabi and the Lamb burrito... WOW! The flavors alone are amazing, but the textures are perfect. The Punjabi was the best fried anything I've eaten- great flavor, texture and temperature! I ate them in one sitting and took a bite of the samosa before realizing I was bit full and saved the rest for later. The burrito was eaten cold (I waited 2 hours before getting to it and it tastes amazing at room temp)! Perfect ratio of moisture to dry ingredients, perfectly rolled- better than anywhere else I've ever been- but heads up, the portion is a little large. I could have eaten everything as two separate meals and a snack. The portions were hefty, but not overwhelming. The young lady that checked me out warned me the burritos would be spicy, but I would rate it at a mild heat if you eat Indian food often. Definitely not what I would consider spicy. The samosas are some of my favorite! The skin is made of potatoes rather than a flour dough and it's fantastic on the texture and flavor. I went at lunch time so it was pretty steady in the To-go traffic. I may have seen 12 orders placed and taken in the 20 minutes I was there. It's clean, plenty of natural light, indoor and outdoor seating and very clean restrooms. Great space for a work lunch, lunch date with any vegan friends (lots of vegan options), or just a solo visit to enjoy some quality food. I think I'll take a trip back sooner rather than later after this visit.

Needing a relatively quick fix of Thali or Veggie Bowls in Spotless Energetic locale ?? You Found It. Too kind helpful authentic genuine staff operate this popular eatery at the Church St. Whole Foods plaza abyss, sitting along w dozens of other restaurants & retailers. Definitely a relaxed pad visited frequently by Decatur-ites, savage college kids, & other regulars. Place never packed or stuffy; it's interior is well maintained & relaxed. Easy goto's are their Multiple Thali dishes with numerous options and sides. Get a Chan Masala (chik pea) , with Chkn Tikka and Mutter Paneer. All insatiably tasty and nutritious. Or Check out their Hella Vegan Bowl :) :) Be sure to ask for their complimentary Homemade Hot Sauce; YUM

Open and spacious place to eat and there are tables too around the corner.

Staff at register was super polite and kind, soft spoken and gentle. I am excited with the butter chicken bowl, chicken tikka masala bowl, chicken 65, Pani outing, and butter naan that I order for family Diwali Sunday night dinner! Son especially wanted Indian food! I have always gotten take out and family has always enjoyed the food from here!

My family is quite fond of Indian food, however we have varying levels of preferences of levels of heat and of other Indian spice flavors. This is a place where my wife, three kids, and I love the flavors. They've done an excellent job of balancing the flavors. Discovered this place a couple of months back and we cannot stop ourselves from coming back every time we think about Indian food.

great fast place for lunch but there's better options for indian in decatur to me! chicken tikka masala was yummy, good portion size for sure. i appreciate the approachable menu for indian food! they have a patio that's nice too.

    Deconstructed samosas with Lamb
    Diamond B.

i've visited Curry up now in Decatur about three times this month. The deconstructed Samosa with lamb is undefeated. The spice intensity for the "Desi 'They-See' Beware Hot" is pretty mild for a description like that, lol. Regardless, great intro to mainstream Indian food.

Absolutely Outstanding!…read more One of the best Indo-Chinese restaurants I've ever been to! From the moment we walked in, the positive vibe, beautiful ambiance, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere stood out. It's also pet-friendly, which is a huge plus! The staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful. Reservations are recommended, but definitely not required. We were a party of 9 and were seated within about 20 minutes without a reservation. Now, let's talk about the food--WOW! Every dish was absolutely finger- and plate-licking good. The balance of spices and flavors was spot on. The star ingredient in each dish truly stood out, while the other spices and ingredients complemented it perfectly and elevated the entire dish. The chicken and shrimp dishes were phenomenal, and every vegetarian dish we tried was equally fantastic. Each bite made us want another one! Everything tasted freshly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully balanced, without that artificial aftertaste you sometimes get elsewhere. We were completely stuffed and had zero room for dessert... but somehow ended up ordering the Dubai Chocolate Mousse, Rose Falooda, and Gajar Halwa with Rasmalai. And OMG--what a decision! Every dessert was outstanding and the perfect way to finish an already incredible meal. Amazing food, fantastic ambiance, wonderful service, and a great overall experience. Highly, highly recommended!

A very differently tasting food serving restaurant with all the flavorful North Indian main dishes…read more(Vegetarian only) at a very reasonable price and a pretty good ambience, then this should be the place for you. Would have gone past this building a 100 times and never did I notice this restaurant. Got here because someone recommended and it was very much worth it. Dine in at 7:30 PM was great with very less crown on a Thursday. THE FOOD: We ordered the North Indian Thali (says it's available until 3PM, looks like it's available through the dinner time as well). Was served in a nice Wooden board with Rice, Achar (pickle), Boondhi Raitha, Tandoori Roti (was soo good), Aloo Gobi masala, Shahi Paneer, Chole, Dhal Tadka and Paapad. The Chole was tasing so different and I guess it's the Amritsari Chole. The Shahi Paneer was top notch and Dal tadka as well. AlooGobi was super spicy but the taste was good. The single Roti piece is definitely not enough I feel, and would require another to complete the thali. Slightly pricey there I feel. We also got a AlooTikki Chaat and that tasted really good. The quantity was pretty much good for one person. I would say the spice levels were spot on. Not too much spicy (Honest these days are making it very spicy) or bland. Good quantity and sat well on the tummy. And literally did see a family enjoying their food very much and gave a very nice feeling while we were waiting for our food. SERVICE & AMBIENCE: The ambience was very much nice with all colorful wall paintings and aesthetics and wall hangings. Well lit. But there was some unpleasant smell that was kind of bothering us. I wish they address it. It wasn't crowded and the food arrived in less than 5-10minutes of ordering. The parking could be a concern. The staffs were very much courteous and polite. BOTTOMLINE: If you are in for a slightly Delhi based food flavor, I guess this should be your place. The curries are delicious and the restaurant is family friendly. Slightly pricey in my opinion. Would definitely visit here to try out other things. MY PICKS FOR YOU: North Indian Thali, AlooTikki Chaat, Chole curry
