I've been to a couple Ethiopian restaurants here in Atlanta and Washington. This restaurant is up there in my top 5 list I love the sambusa. Though it took slightly longer to arrive, we weren't disappointed. If was freshly made. The wrap was thin, crispy and not oily. You can taste that it was fried when an order is made. We also ordered the Ledet Combo with lamb. We didn't have to wait for too long. When it came, we were presented with a very colorful plate. Each of the vegetables were delicious. There were 3 ways our lamb was done - ground medium and spicy. I loved them all. Can't decide which meat tastes better. Same for the veg. I think I need to go back to try again so that I can be doubly sure. Parking is easy. They took over a car sales lot, therefore lots of parking available.

First time trying Ethiopian food for many of my friends and I! We were pleasantly surprised by all of the flavors and were glad we came to Ledet since it was a great first experience overall :D We ordered the Beef combo (2 ppl), the Kikil (stewed lamb) and lentil samosas. Though they say the combos are only for 2 ppl, depending on other things you get, it could feed 3-4ppl. I would pass on the lentil samosas next time and maybe try the beef or chicken. It's quite pricey for only 2 pieces :/ The pastry was so crispy but the filling was dry and flavorless. The beef was tender and flavorful in the combo and everything was cooked well. The chickpea side dish was a fan favorite so highly recommend getting this. The kikil was cooked perfectly but it is more of a bland dish so I would pass on this next time.

Five stars for the amazing flavorful food! Service was slow, our server was friendly but a bit forgetful when it came to ordering drinks. Overall the food was awesome and my table was absolutely stuffed with happiness. I believe we ordered the veggie combo and addited shiro and lamb tibs as well as the raw meat (and cooked). I highly recommend everything!

If you love Ethiopian food, you must visit Ledet. Went in on a Sunday night and it was not too busy, so we were sat right away. The server, Yanet, came over and got our drunk order along with our appetizer and food order all at once, Which I loved! Everything came out as it should though, drinks first and appetizer next and then entree after. Once the entree was placed, she did also offer some honey wine, which we opted for a glass to taste. It was delicious and I recommend ordering it. The food came out hot and with such a preste presentation. Most of the food items have a spicy kick to them....just a tip in case you don't like spicy. Everything was so flavorful and the food was so plentiful that we had leftovers to take home. They do have a large parking lot so plenty of parking when you arrive and the parking is free. The restaurant on the inside is very spacious and clean. There is music playing that is just the right volume to have background noise but still enjoy a conversation.

Waited 30 minutes with no one coming to even check on drinks. Then was dismissive as we were leaving. Guess they don't serve FBAs.

The food was amazing. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because we were there for a total of 3 hours. The service wasn't that great.

Vegan food is here!!! NO soy, dairy, or gluten!…read more Since becoming a meatless, soy free, dairy free, and gluten free person for health reasons, I've been really careful of where to dine out. I do a lot of research before heading to a restaurant. A lot of vegan restaurants serve mock meats (soy) and have bread (gluten). I had Ethiopian food many years ago at Desta and enjoyed it. However, I wasn't sure what the injera bread was made from so doing a Google search lead me to the recipe. It is made of teff gain, which is gluten free!! Win-win for me! It is one of the smallest grains too! Three days of the week - Saturday, Wednesday, & Friday - Gursha has a vegetarian buffet. It will be a mix of 6 items from their vegetarian entrees. I let them choose 6 items for me. The following is from their website Shiro Watt - Split pea or check pea flour cooked with red onions, oil or butter, red pepper (berebere), garlic and Spice. Gomen - Fresh collard greens cooked and seasoned with oil onion, ginger, garlic, herbs and spice. Misir Watt - A stew made from organic split red lentils cooked with onion, oil spiced red pepper, flavored with ginger, garlic, and cardamom. Atiklett - Cabbage mixed with chunks of potatoes and carrot cooked with onion, flavored with ginger, garlic, and turmeric. Yekik Watt - Seasoned yellow split peas slowly cooked with oil, onion, ginger, turmeric and garlic. Fosolia - Fresh green beans and carrots cooked with oil, onions, fresh garlic, jalapeno, ginger, and salt. Mushroom with potato - Fresh sliced mushroom and potato cooked with onions, oil, fresh garlic, ginger, herbs, salt and spices. Dinich Wott - Chunks of potatoes cooked with onions, garlic seasoned in tomato and red pepper sauce and salt. Key sir (beetroot) salad - key sir mixed with carrot, potato, onion, lemon juice, oil, and jalapeno. My plate consisted of Gomen, Fosolia, Dinich Wott, Key Sir, Shiro Watt, Atiklett. They were all plated on top of injera. I also received two additional injera on the side. I loved everything I got. If you don't like beets then you won't like the Key Sir. My favorite is the Shiro Watt. It was so flavorable and delicious. I could taste the spices. It was soooo much food that I wasn't able to finish!! I ate only 2/3 of it. I was asked if I wanted more injera or even more food. I just couldn't! Oh yeah, when I asked for water, I got a bottle of water from the fridge. That was fine with me. Lunch was only $10.99 for the veggie buffet. It's been almost 5 hours since I've eaten. I can tell you I did not eat breakfast (thank goodness), and I'm still stuff!!! 124/2017

I had gone down (by Uber) to Atlanta Vintage Books for the afternoon to lounge in their chairs and…read moreread books, soak up the culture and enjoy their resident cats. I had not eaten before I left and after several hours there, I was HUNGRY. Because I had taken Uber, I asked the lady at the counter where was the closest restaurant within walking distance. She directed me across the street - just a hop skip and a jump from the bookstore. to Jebena Bistro. Never having eaten Ethiopian food, I decided to give it a try. As "Noelle" to the right, said, it's a little "hole in the wall". From the outside, it's nothing to write home about. But as soon as I walked in, I knew I was going to enjoy it. First of all, the lady that waited on me was so kind and welcoming. I asked her for her recommendations and she suggested several things. I ended up choosing the vegetable platter. When she brought it out, she explained to me that they eat with their hands. There was no silverware. She showed me the bread that they use to soak up the food with. It was made of a sponge-like substance and was rolled up. The platter was SO good. I quickly filled up and had to get a "to go" box which was filled with food. The amount of food I received for price I paid was ample. It easily made me a second meal at home. This wasn't a fancy place. But the food was very tasty and I will go back in the future.
