Came here after the Spa as it was right across the courtyard. Not sure if we came at an off hour because it was basically completely empty but we grabbed two seats at the bar. Bartender came quickly to take our order and helped with drink recommendations. I got the Nor Cal Steak Sandwich which was DELICIOUS - I wanted to order another but I was too stuffed after the first. We have eaten at Sandy's Pub many times over the years, and most recently in early September 2022 (several times) while staying at the Resort. The food is great and you can't beat the atmosphere, especially if you are seated outside on the patio. The burgers and fries are outstanding! I've been coming here for years and always loved it. Sandy's has always been exactly what it presented: a bar and restaurant with quick, solid bar food and TVs streaming games. That said, every time I've been here this winter the service has been extremely slow and poor and the food quality has definitely diminished. From waiting half an hour to be seated when they were half empty to being served cold food to being served items we didn't order to having to having to send back food because they ignored a member of our party when they stated they had a food allergy, the service and attention to detail here has really fallen off a cliff. read more

Since my husband and I had planned prior to our stay eating at six peaks and it was closed for a private party, we had no other option but to eat at Sandys Pub. We are pretty easy to please having 3 kids and just want decent food. Everything here was mediocre AT BEST!! The calamari had maybe 10 pieces the size of Cheerios on a bed of lettuce and tasted like rotten fish. Its mind blowing that anyone would EVER allow that to leave the kitchen!!! The rest was just par for the course at this point. All overpriced garbage...7/11 microwave burritos would have definitely been better with zero expectations. Gross gross gross. Came for vacation with my wife and lo. It was around 7 pm and we came here. Jess was our waitress. She was amazing. We have nachos, tomato bisque and veggie burger. Nachos and TB were simply amazing. TB was perfect blend of tomato and perfect tanginess. Will recommend this for a cold weather. And the views. Simply great. We didn't sit outside as it was cold. We didn't stay at the resort. Sandy's Pub is conveniently located on site at The Resort at Squaw Creek for guests and the public. While the name indicates it is a pub, it seems more like a nicer sit down restaurant to me. However, they do have a large bar and football playing on the televisions at well. I came here with a party of three, and each of us were satisfied with the outcome of our meals. I had the cobb salad, and while on the small side, it was delicious. I would order it again if I went back. None of the main courses we had were the absolute best food we had ever had, but it was definitely a solid choice if you're staying at the resort. The best part of the meal (see my tip) was the brownie dessert! Holy crap!!!! As someone who usually doesn't like chocolate, that was probably the best dessert I have had in years. It was also big enough to share with 2-3 people. HIGHLY recommend! It is also worth mentioning that our waitress was really great. I can't remember her name but she was fun, helpful, and seemed happy to be there. Great service from her. 4 stars. read more

Nice sports bar at Squaw Cree. About 5 or 6 months will keep you in NFL bliss. Pretty patio to catch the cool breezes (when it's not howling winds) coming through Squaw Valley. They have a tendency to have a heavy hand on the selections. Lots of burgers and the typical (dated) fried pub food with a sort of Western theme. However, there were a couple of salads that weren't loaded with fat. For instance, our onion rings were good, but our nachos were a (not so hot) mess: for too much cheese dumped in a big, heavy clump in the center. The cheese fat and water from the diced tomatoes made all the chips wet and limp. Did we still eat it? After a day working out on the mountain or golf course, who wouldn't? read more

But, it was very good. the service was excellent and they had 4 TV's that I was able to watch. After a relaxing day at the resort, we found ourselves craving some late-night brews and bites at the resort. Naturally, we went to Sandy's! Because we weren't extremely hungry, we decided to have a few apps and a beer, and see how we felt about more substantive meals after that. We split the spinach and brie dip and the calamari while we had a few craft brews. The calamari was great, and included some delicious sauce drizzled over the top. With the marinara, it was perfect (and a pretty generous portion)! The dip was excellent and included LOTS of pita for dipping. (Also, it comes in a bread bowl... so there isn't much chance that you're going to run out of dip-able surfaces!) Again, the portion was large. By the time we got about 2/3 of the way through each of these, we agreed that there was no way we could stomach more substantial meals. This place is a cool joint. The pool table looked a little cramped so we didnt play. There were mostly men in here havin a beer, watchin the game. The prob I had was that the TVs are at bad angles, My neck was killin me and every time I turned away to eat someone got a hit lol. There is shuffle board but only one.;( so wait if you want to play. I had the nachos, the half plate. It was huge overflowing with guac, S cream, salsa and cheeseee:). I added the chichen, it wasnt needed it was totally lost all in the goodness. We loved both our dinners at this pub. We are staying at the Squaw Creek resort and service has been marginal- with one exception, the waiter we had both nights: Tom. (*i hope the management reads this! He's great) We ordered the wings but I'm obsessed with sauces and Tom suggested ALL on the side.... The Brisket Burger was the best my husband has ever had- and he's from Texas- father a rancher- he know meat. I loved the Cobb Salad on first night, Caesar the 2nd- the pretzel bites and ribs also so good- flavorful and hit the spot. But back to Tom. I have experience in the restaurant industry- a decade's worth. Toms attention to detail and personality is a GREAT look for this establishment. It's tradition for my family to visit this restaurant during our ski vacations. We've been coming since Sandy's Pub was a restaurant called "Bullwhackers." We came for the excellent burgers and fries. Also loved the ambience. Unfortunately our last visit wasn't so great. The burger that I ordered well-done was practically still bleeding. Another member of my party also had an undercooked burger. Our waitress rarely came around, so it was difficult to bring this to her attention. I ended up just eating around the edges where it was more cooked. On a positive note, even though the fries are no longer those waffle cut fries that almost look orange, which my family loved, I like the latest version better. The 2 stars is for the service, I order the nachos and the bucket of chicken wings with three different sauces. The nachos started off being tasty. But as I kept eating them the we're soggy in the middle. Now for the bucket of chicken wings, as we were eating them we dip a wing in one of the sauces and found a piece of hair. I was sick to my stomach at this point. The manger came trying to convince me that it wasn't a piece of hair, that it from the corn. What excuse me, I didn't order any corn. Make the long story short, she took the sauce away with the hair in it. And took the the wings off the bill. I forgot about the 2 drinks we order, that was the best thing we had. I was so turn off by the hair in my food. Sorry I won't be returning, I rather go to McDonald's a few of miles away. read more

Only really 2 options for vegans on their menu but both tasted great! Pita plate - pita made fresh with 3 generous servings of hummus, sun dried tomato spread, and an kind of olive and diced tomato tepanade. Secondly, a house-made bean burger which was huge and delicious and came with a choice of 2 extra toppings. Either avocado, grilled onions or a big portion mushrooms... Plus some non-vegan options of different cheeses, bacon etc. The burger is so big that the flavor of the avocado spread gets pretty muted. I asked for some mustard to add. After the appetizer we could both only eat half our meal.. But leftovers are okay with us! In addition you get a choice of fries, sweet potato fries, salad, or potato salad (I think). I've had plenty of ribs to know what's good, what's "ehhh," and to what the hell is this? My family and I had dinner at Sandy's Pub during our weekend getaway. I'm always iffy when it comes to hotel food, but figure we'd give it a shot. Surprisingly, Sandy's Pub amazed me. I ordered their half rack with salad and fries. Forget the salad and fries. It's the ribs that did it for me. The meat fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce wasn't too much nor too little. I could smell the smoke from the meat, which is an indication that, yes, they did slow smoke cook their ribs. It was a bit expensive, but when they took their time preparing it to be this good, the price didn't matter. Why the one less star and not five some of you might ask? Here's why: 1. Sign says "please wait to be seated" while there's no host on standby. Waiters/waitresses and busboys walked by as if we weren't there. Had to stop a waitress and ask to be seated. 2. They couldn't spare an extra plate or bowl for the salad. Instead my salad, fries, and ribs came together in one plate. When does one eat his/her "warm" salad mixed with ribs and fries? I did! 3. Lastly, there were a lot of empty tables, yet, the waitress looked like she was worked to death. Must be a bad night for her. Overall, this has got to be the best ribs I've ever had. read more

I've been coming here more frequently for the past few months. I have always sat at the bar and the service has been top notch; the bartenders are attentive and put out good vibes. The food is pretty good too. They recently changed the menu to include more burger options. The last time I visited I had the basil hot wings and they were tasty. My boyfriend had the salmon dish and it was out of place considering the rest of the menu, but also really good. There are TVs everywhere making it a great spot to catch a game. We have been coming to Squaw Creek Resort for years, for the great poolside food and drinks. The service was stellar, drinks were excellent, but food menu is just horrible. No more club sandwich. The fries, burgers, chicken strips were horrible. They did have wings that were good. You expect better than fast food quality pool side at these prices. read more
