Just be sure to book your appointment online! The appointment slots open I think exactly one week in advevery Monday (I'm not 100% sure on that though, and the time slot optionsare very limited and fill up quickly. If you can snag an appointment, it's one of the easiest and smoothest places to get passports done, especially with kids. Most recently, we used one of the multipurpose rooms here for a homeschool class event, hosted by an employee from the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for an ocean life class. I really love that the museum does that and we've always had great experiences with classes like this brought to us. Overall, this is a fantastic library for so many reasons, not just for checking out books, but also for community events, meeting spaces, and passport services. We've had nothing but great experiences here!

The library is always clean and welcoming, there are beautiful art displays throughout, and there are plenty of comfortable areas to sit, read, study, or work on a laptop. Unfortunately, today the noise level was honestly surprising. There were groups of kids and teenagers playing games on the computers, talking loudly, yelling, and using pretty inappropriate language. It got to the point where I had to put my headphones in just to focus on my work. What was most disappointing was that staff didn't seem to address the noise, and I didn't see any security around during my visit. I completely understand that libraries are community spaces and don't need to be completely silent, but there should still be a reasonable expectation that people can come here to read, study, or work without excessive noise. I'm hoping today was just an unusually loud day because I've always liked this location. I'll probably give it another try in a few weeks, maybe once school is back in session. It really is a beautiful library, I just wish the environment today matched the peaceful space it's meant to provide.

It's about 12 miles from the Albertsons at W. Charleston and Desert Foothills, where many cyclists park, to Blue Diamond, so it's a popular turn-around spot. We often stop here to use the bathroom (clean), fill up our bottles, and buy some cookies or a popsicle on hot days. They even have free ice, which is very much appreciated when you're sweating like a piggy. If you're lucky, you'll see a bunch of burros who hang out at the park nearby.

It creates so much unnecessary stress and confusion. My friend currently attends here and absolutely hates the experience. Some professors are helpful, but others are rude, overly nitpicky with certain students, and don't even teach the material clearly or effectively. It honestly feels inconsistent depending on who you get. Even emailing staff and administrators is a nightmare. It feels like you have to turn into a Karen just to get a clear answer or have someone actually respond and help you. Students shouldn't have to constantly chase people down just to get basic information. Clinical scheduling is also a complete mess. Sites keep changing last minute, schedules are unclear, and students are expected to just adjust with little communication. For a program that's supposed to prepare students professionally, the organization and support are seriously lacking. Overall, the environment feels disorganized, frustrating, and poorly managed. I wouldn't recommend this school unless you're prepared to deal with constant confusion and lack of communication.
