The appointment slots open I think exactly one week in advevery Monday (I'm not 100% sure on that though, and the time slot optionsare very limited and fill up quickly. If you can snag an appointment, it's one of the easiest and smoothest places to get passports done, especially with kids. Most recently, we used one of the multipurpose rooms here for a homeschool class event, hosted by an employee from the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for an ocean life class. I really love that the museum does that and we've always had great experiences with classes like this brought to us. Overall, this is a fantastic library for so many reasons, not just for checking out books, but also for community events, meeting spaces, and passport services. We've had nothing but great experiences here!

The library is always clean and welcoming, there are beautiful art displays throughout, and there are plenty of comfortable areas to sit, read, study, or work on a laptop. Unfortunately, today the noise level was honestly surprising. There were groups of kids and teenagers playing games on the computers, talking loudly, yelling, and using pretty inappropriate language. It got to the point where I had to put my headphones in just to focus on my work. What was most disappointing was that staff didn't seem to address the noise, and I didn't see any security around during my visit. I completely understand that libraries are community spaces and don't need to be completely silent, but there should still be a reasonable expectation that people can come here to read, study, or work without excessive noise. I'm hoping today was just an unusually loud day because I've always liked this location. I'll probably give it another try in a few weeks, maybe once school is back in session. It really is a beautiful library, I just wish the environment today matched the peaceful space it's meant to provide.

I got a slurpe and a candy bar and sat on the side where they have a large western mural and some chairs with tables and some books if you want to read something . It is covered and you can just relax and look around the town and the park . The park has clean restrooms also . Sometimes you will see wild burros munching on the grass . Enjoy the quiet and maybe walk around the town . There is even a restaurant there now called Cottonwood Station . I haven't tried it yet .

It's about 12 miles from the Albertsons at W. Charleston and Desert Foothills, where many cyclists park, to Blue Diamond, so it's a popular turn-around spot. We often stop here to use the bathroom (clean), fill up our bottles, and buy some cookies or a popsicle on hot days. They even have free ice, which is very much appreciated when you're sweating like a piggy. If you're lucky, you'll see a bunch of burros who hang out at the park nearby.

Has well-stocked shelves in many different categories, even foreign language items, which surprised me. I know some languages, other than English. But only fully fluent, about 80%, in one of my mom's languages (she knows four languages, fluently). Noticed that the display cases inside of the main lobby have been moved. This is a pretty large Library.

Tons of parking and so many activities for everyone, from little ones to teens, adults, and even seniors. The library itself is a great size, super clean, and filled with things to do in every corner. There's always something happening for all ages, and the staff in every department were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I also appreciated that there's security on-site, which makes it feel very safe. They were serving food for the kids, and the bags were packed with healthy snacks, such a thoughtful touch! We joined in on the "WhoDunnit" mystery activity and actually guessed the right suspect. The kids were so excited to receive invisible ink pens as a surprise prize--such a fun idea! It was a blast walking around the library together searching for clues and spending that quality time as a family. Afterward, we noticed an arts and crafts table where the kids got to paint candle holders (Halloween themed or not). It was my two girls, and a few others and self with the instructor enjoying such a cozy, creative setup. I found out they do projects like this once a month, so I marked it on our calendar and grabbed the October events schedule. We'll definitely be back for more library days this month! It wasn't until a week later that I realized what had happened. My heart sank, as the USB contained very important documents. I visited the library on a Sunday afternoon and explained the situation to a staff member. They asked for the date and time of my visit, then carefully retrieved my USB -- neatly wrapped and stored inside a red wallet for safekeeping. I was truly moved. They hadn't just set it aside -- they had taken the time to wrap it and store it with care, as if they knew how precious it might be to someone. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. If you like study in quiet this is perfect spot, and if you go further by the windows area it is more quiet. They also have study rooms available but it requires at least two people. Students are quiet and staff also. They open at 8 am so if you are an early bird like me it is great. On week days they closed at 10 pm so it works perfectly with my schedule. They are also open on weekends but shorts hours. Also book selection is amazing. They have a lots of available desktop computers, i don't know is it Covid or what but it is never busy as of right now. Never to crowded never to busy perfect for study.
