Whiskey they sell in the bar and general store

It is such a unique experience and people come for a number of reasons. I first went out for a motorcycle ride and hung out with all the other bikers there. It is rustic and has a fun atmosphere although when there are live bands playing it can be difficult to talk to others. They keep it lively and the food is delicious. I have had three of the burgers with either fries or chips as well as the shakes which I would go back for anytime. I also recently went out and tried the breakfast. They also hold an annual fan festival for players / viewers of Fallout and that is an absolute blast. Last year was my first but will not be my last!

Just had to belly-up to the saloon's bar.

I really don't know WHY I have never visited Goodsprings' historic Pioneer Saloon, but it's finally off my bucket list! Surprisingly, after filling up off the interstate in Jean, we embarked on the short drive west (10 minutes?) and we were there. And whether you're a history buff, fan of the paranormal, or just a parched traveler in search of a nearby watering hole, this little place is worth a visit. Having just left Sin City on out trek back to Cali, we weren't very hungry when we pulled into town - but what the hell's the point of visiting the infamous Pioneer Saloon without, at least, having a drink? There's a great selection of beers and other libations (both high octane and unleaded). From their extensive list of beers on tap, I was pleased to find one of the last, still American-owned, classics - Pabst Blue Ribbon. Suffice to say, what's not on tap is, most likely, available in the bottle - so no worries if you're an America-hating, hipster, leave-the-foam-at-the-bottom, poser (like others in my party -LOL). The food menu is equally diverse, though we only placed orders for some french fries to munch on while we enjoyed our drinks and sucked-in the surrounding scenery. The orders were quite generous so, though we got two, one would have sufficed. The burgers delivered to a neighboring table looked pretty good - and the names of a few are priceless - so I may return to order one for novelty's sake, if nothing else! Overall, we all enjoyed our impromptu visit to the Pioneer Saloon and appreciated the hospitality of our hosts. Being a historic location, there's an obligatory gift shop on the grounds for those seeking mementos (separated from the saloon by an outside dining area). Prices are a little high but, being off the beaten path of the interstate traffic, I can't begrudge these fine Goodsprings folk the opportunity to make a living while preserving a truly historic piece of Nevada history.

Well it's a fun place on a fair weather day. We sat outside. All food is served in cardboard boxes which I found a bit odd but went along with it Food is just "ok" It's all about the experience and the music Service was fine

I came for lunch with some Fallout fans and we had a great time! The atmosphere was so fun, with live music and an old fashioned feel. The food was great, I liked my French dip sandwich a lot. Service was also fast and friendly. We all had to take a nap afterwards.

This place was very cool. My fiance and I are big fallout fans and this was a must do on our trip to Vegas's. While the merch was little and the sizes were mostly sold out, we appreciated what they had Fallout wise. The food here was delicious! My fiance loved his burger! I split the brisket and pulled pork. Pulled pork needed some sauce but the brisket was amazing! Be warned the food is very heavy. Unfortunately service was rough. Not our waitresses fault this place was just very busy and they had practically no one else working. If we're ever back in Vegas i know we will be back!

The saloon is always a welcome site after a day out on the dusty trails. The place is always busy. Good food, good music. It was a perfect day to sit outside. Inside is just as cozy with the wood-burning stove going.

This was our second time at the Pioneer Saloon. We brought the kiddos and our furry little mutt. Overall the atmosphere is great. Good music, good vibes, good service! However the menu is a little lacking. There aren't very many vegetarian options on the menu, just a grilled cheese and cheese pizza. And I didn't see a kids menu. One of my kiddos is very picky so he was a little disappointed that the only option for him was pizza since he isn't a big pizza fan. I do wish they had a bit more on the menu for vegetarians and kiddos or if they do offer more, have it advertised because I didn't see anything saying they did. We do like coming here every once in a while despite the small menu just because the vibe is so great! And I do appreciate Dogs and Kids being welcome.

We were taking a trip down the interstate from Zion to Joshua Tree and were looking for a lunch spot. I found this place and thought it would just be a cool experience. Well we were pleasantly surprised by our lunch. I had the BLT, the onion jam and aioli put it over the top. My husband had the brisket French dip and said it was amazing. So it ended up being one of our top meals on the trip. Also the history of the place is quite intriguing. Definitely worth a stop.

This is a nice restaurant, tucked away in the middle of know where. We both indulged in the High Blue Cactus Burger, which was a symphony of flavors. The blue cheese and the Nopalitos cactus added a unique twist, making it a standout dish. However, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed that I didn't get two beef patties. The service, unfortunately, left much to be desired. Our drinks arrived a bit late, and our waitress vanished without a trace. Instead, another employee brought our burgers to our table. After finishing our meal, we were left waiting for our waitress for an extended period, over 30 minutes. She never returned to the restaurant area, and we couldn't find her even after searching for her. When we finally found her, she was helping a large party at a table in the bar area. I understand that she was busy, but it would have been appreciated if she had come back to check on us or asked another employee to assist us. As a result, we had to ask a bartender to cash us out.

This place is very cool! It's amazing to think about the history of this saloon. They still have original 1913 wooden tables people can eat at, the wall still has the original bullet holes, and there is an old wood burning stove. There was live music playing when we went. We enjoyed the old fashioned, beer and a shot of whiskey, chili cheese hot dog, and the old man liver dog. The food is a solid 3 star. The drinks are a 4 star. They were tasty, but pricey. The atmosphere is awesome. Everyone that worked there was super friendly. Definitely stop by and have a drink and check out the place. You won't be disappointed. It is only an 8 minute drive from the freeway in Jean.

We had a really great time here! It's fun to look around at all of the pictures and the original walls and to visit the general store that is part of the property. We stayed for lunch and ate in the memorial room which was a quieter area and the food was very good! Sandwiches and burgers came with a bag of kettle chips which was nice as I saved mine for later so we could enjoy their made on site desserts! I had the peach cobbler with ice cream and it was amazing! They had just come out of the oven when we got them making them warm and delectable. Definitely plan to come out to the pioneer saloon for lunch or dinner and enjoy the property, we've come in years past and I think it's only gotten better over time.

Interesting little town with a lot of history. The saloon itself was quaint. Service was terrible. Took a while to get a drink and we sat at the bar! Wanted fries but the fryer was "broken". Ended up with tacos that were ok. Drive from Vegas is nice a scenic.

the atmosphere and vibes of this saloon are genuinely unbeatable. They have a very enticing menu, especially the milkshake menu, it was so hard to pick one. I ended up picking the strawberry milkshake and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. I also got the cowboy burger which was pretty good as well, the sauce they used on the burger was very good. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming!! I can't wait to visit again!

The wife planned a road trip night out at the Idle Spurs Saloon. We both own property in Sandy…read moreValley and actually love to support the local establishments as opposed to private equity bars etc that are now taking over America. The idle spurs, a once somewhat unassuming bar on Sandy Valleys main drag; has received a facelift on the exterior and also the interior. It has been somewhat transformed into an old time saloon. Kudos on the transformation, a little bit has gone a long way. It has been several years since I have stopped in for a pop here, and my wife has never been. We entered the bar and saw approximately 5 other patrons in the bar; mostly gaming at the bar top and 2 vaping in the lot. I noticed a few patrons out back behind the bar through the back door as well, there is a horseshoe pit back there: I wasn't aware of that. A nice feature if you ask me. We sat down and ordered a beer each, Sam Addams and a Coors light: the beers were delivered cold and promptly and we ran a tab as we figured we would stay for a few beers as our plan was to then go to the Pioneer Saloon. We conversed with one of the locals who came in, a very nice older gentleman who had lived in the area since 1988. What we were unaware of was the fact that it was Karaoke night. At about 640 a man came in, Jim was his name, and began setting up a karaoke stage. Within minutes, people started trickling into the Idle Spurs. Patrons were making their karaoke stage reservations and before I knew what had happened, the Idle Spurs Saloon suddenly was packed and rivaling the occupancy of any Las Vegas locals bar. Brian the bartender is truly a gem. One bartender working about 35 customers and nobody was waiting very long at all for a drink. He crushed it. I'm not quite certain I have ever been in a bar like this one. The locals were all so inviting and friendly. We were the outsiders, albeit land owners there, we don't actually reside in town. Nobody seemed to care, as we were embraced and welcomed by everyone we came in contact with. Jim, who ran the karaoke, has just about every song imaginable in his program. I was so relaxed and felt like such a part of the town, that even I took the stage and sang. The Idle Spurs Saloon is truly a one of a kind stop, harkening back to days gone by, where people weren't glued to a cell or constantly taking selfies or watching tic tok reels. This is a down home, friendly atmosphere where people are friendly, people have conversations, and people genuinely want to get to know one another, similar to what one probably encountered in the 1950's. The Idle Spurs is 100% my new favorite place to go, in the rather rare time that I may want to go out for a beer. Next time I visit I will absolutely try the snack shack, I was already full of tacos otherwise I would have tonight.

We'd heard from the locals, The Hubb is some of the best food in town and is a popular watering hole for the younger (under 70) crowd. The lady who served us for lunch was rude and seemed bothered we came in. Eventually she brought us our drinks and gave us a heavy sigh as she explained she didn't know why the restaurant was even open for lunch because she had too much to do to prepare for the evening shift. A second older woman brought our meal out (Taco Tuesday special) and tossed it onto our table without saying a word. The ground beef Caucasian tacos were over seasoned but generally edible. The service was absolute trash. My tip was reflective of that. If you have to visit Pahrump, bring your own food and cook at home, in your Air BNB.
