WIth over 34 years of experience, she knows how to improve any condition I mention to her. While in her care, I have not had a cold or flu, I have overcome the pain of plantar fasciitis, and I no longer worry about flare-ups of rosacea. Dr. Zhao genuinely cares about the well being of her patients. She listens to my concerns and we discuss treatment, be it acupuncture, acupressure or Chinese herbals. I highly recommend Dr. Zhao for anyone seeking pain management or overall good health and stamina.

I'd been told by several people that acupuncture might not work, but it wouldn't hurt me. But it did hurt me. On my third visit to Zhao something went wrong and when I left the lower part of my face was quite numb. This got worse. Zhao said she couldn't understand what had happened, and that nothing like this had happened before. The numbness moved to the left side of my face and left side of my mouth. It continues now, two months after the session that caused it. I have seen a neurologist, who said it might go away, or it might not. To anyone considering acupuncture, my advice would be to think hard about it--it can damage you. To anyone considering seeing Xingning Zhao, I would say, Don't.

Liz was so welcoming and attentive to my daughter; it made her first massage experience a 10 out of 10. We both left feeling completely relaxed and happy. I walked in and she greeted me right away and we spent a few minutes going over the forms I filled out online ahead of my appointment. It's easy to see that Liz is very knowledgeable about acupuncture and the human body. She explained what she would do during my appointment and answered all of my questions. Liz - and the relaxing sounds and decor of her office - put me at ease right away. First - acupuncture! She inserted a few needles in my hands, face, and legs, and left me to relax. I thought I would be too alert to fall asleep, but I got used to the feeling of the needles after a moment, and the next thing I knew, Liz was back to remove them. Next - Gua Sha. Liz knew about my tense neck and shoulders and suggested this treatment. I Googled it in advance, so I knew I'd have a lot of red/purple coloring in my neck and back. I am very red, but it's worth it! My neck and shoulders are moving much more freely. I already made my next acupuncture appointment. Liz has a community room where patients can come for acupuncture with a sliding scale payment, which I think is a great idea. I look forward to more acupuncture and massages, too!

Mind and Body is such a hidden gem, I'm so happy I found it! I've been experiencing neck pain and…read more"knots" in my shoulders for several days with no relief, so I decided to try a massage. I used Yelp to find a masseuse close to work and came across Mind and Body, only 1 block away. I texted (and emailed) as indicated on the website for a last-minute/same-day appointment for the 30 min neck and shoulder massage. They were able to squeeze me in this afternoon, and I already feel worlds better. My masseuse (who I believe was Jessica) was great, and was able to talk me through her plan of attack once I described my symptoms. After just 30 min, I feel significant relief in my neck and shoulders- she was very knowledgeable and professional, and did an amazing job. As for the office overall, it is a bit confusing to locate- once in the elevator, you need to press "M" (not 5) to get to the mezzanine level. As other reviews indicate, you are able to hear what's going on outside your room because the room walls do not reach the high ceilings, but this didn't bother me. My room was private, warm and cozy. I also liked that she didn't use a crazy amount of scented oil- sometimes I've left massages feeling like I need to shower. I was able to use my Student ID for a discount, and I did see that there were some specials offered on the Yelp page. I was also asked to pay cash (I believe their machine was down) but they told me this when I made my appointment so I had time to run to the ATM. I absolutely recommend Mind and Body, and I will definitely be back!

No other massage can even compare to these - Victoria is caring, perceptive, and knowledgeable and put me at ease immediately on both visits. Plagued by lower-back pain every few months, both massages have done wonders for my back and the rest of my body. A few other things: they are extremely accommodating with online vouchers. No hassles whatsoever. Scheduling is a breeze (I was able to make both appointments during the week after work). A few other reviews mention the business being in an office - it's since moved to another part of the same building and it's a huge step up: dim, quiet, and a perfect atmosphere for a massage. Really lucky to have a place like this so close. Can't recommend it enough.
