I went to Joshua to help with side effects of Western medical treatment. Was it the acupuncture or all the other things I'm doing that is helping me keep these symptoms to a minimum? Not sure I can attribute cause, but my symptoms are less, healing is moving forward, and I feel better. A session with Joshua begins with me describing my week, both physical and emotional. Joshua takes notes and offers feedback that is wise and insightful. I hope it is not condescending to say he is wise beyond his years and applies what he has learned from his own introspection and from treating others - the result is a thoughtful offering of what might be going on physically that mirrors the emotional (and vice versa). He reads my pulses, gently places needles accordingly, checks with each one to make sure it is comfortable, and then I relax with the needles in for a while. These guys have a sliding scale of $20-$50 depending on whether you just want ear acupuncture ($20-$40) or a more full treatment ($30-$50). It works using lounge chairs circled in a large room and everyone is treated there. (With clothes on of course) Personally I like it better then individual rooms which sometimes feel a little claustrophobic to me. The price makes it affordable enough to go every week so the acupuncture has time to work :) They offer appointments as well as drop in on a space available basis.
