Although I'd seen Beth for myofascial release-work last year and always had a good experience, I'm…read morekinda blown away that I can see her now, during Shelter-in-Place VIRTUALLY. In March on a socially-distanced nature walk I slipped in mud and fell. When Beth eventually emailed her list that she was offering myofascial release-work over Zoom, I signed up, curious. It worked. Over Zoom. Twice. I feel better - about 90% the same as if I'd seen her in person. Some aspects of the session seemed even more effective than in-person. Don't ask me how. Non-local entanglement or something physics-explainable. I'm signing up again.

I meant to write a review for actual, corporeal Beth ages ago, when I'd seen her several times for…read moremassage, so it seems funny that I'm here writing a review for virtual Beth and her online sessions. :) She's a stellar massage therapist [shout out from my neck!], but it's only because a friend of mine was referred to a class of hers and raved that I considered doing an online session - let alone a bunch of them. Beth is wonderfully present, thoughtful, and intuitive in session - plus she's impressively observant and alert, even via the seemingly-weird webcam medium. She's helped me deal with a lot of non-Covid stuff with her SE work, and, although it's hard to imagine a world in which I'd have chosen remote work over touch therapy, I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to benefit from her abundant hands-free gifts.

There is something so magical about taking what you have and turning it into something new. It is not the "new thing" that is liberating, but the knowing that our greatest obstacles and most difficult circumstances can be the fuel for creating what we want in our lives. In her classes and bodywork sessions we go behind the scenes, to the root of things, and transform our prior knowledge, challenges and limitations into strength and freedom. Kendra primarily teaches Foundation Training and works as a Shiatsu Practitioner and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. She studied a very traditional style of yoga called Iyengar Yoga, and taught for over 15 years, but through multiple injuries and yearning to learn more she began to study Shiatsu, Shadow Yoga, Foundation Training, Functional Range Conditioning, foundational gymnastics, movement patterns from the Movement Culture -- specifically the work of Ido Portal, therapeutic work with muscle and fascia and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Her teaching and her practice are highly influenced by these practices!
