I was in Goodyear for flight training and this place was close enough to run by for lunch and make it back to the school in time. I was really excited to try the vegan milkshakes. The cherry milkshake tasted like banana. I'm assuming they use banana as a thickening agent (in place of yogurt), but the ratio was too much; it overpowered any and everything else. I would try a different flavor next time. Their vegan Thanksgiving sandwich was just ok. It was on the bland and boring side. With just vegan turkey deli slices and cranberry, there was nothing outstanding or memorable about it in any way, even after adding vegan mayo and avocados. Ike's pilgrim sandwich runs circles around theirs, even with just turkey, mayo and cranberry sauce. Maybe they can experiment with the mayo or mock meat, something to give it more sabor. I really do love that they have such a large variety of vegan offerings. If in this part of town again, I'd give them another try. Otherwise, I'd stick with Ike's. read more

It's rare for the owner to take your order in a restaurant, but Caz (the owner) does it every day. The net result is that this place is run well. Food is fresh, orders come out on time, and he knows his sandwiches. A word about the selection: it's just enormous. There is every kind of sandwich here with every kind of meat. Hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, and everything in between. It's such a great little local shop. But what sets it apart even more is the food. The sandwiches here are done right, and that's because the owner is here all day. Meats are fresh and stacked high. His bread is as fresh as it gets. In fact he gets it from a local bakery. A shoutout for his sourdough roll. It's just scrumtuous. It's soft and thick and pillowy, with a killer sourdough bite. It's very fresh, with little, tiny bubbles on its skin from the oven baking. It's elevates every sandwich here. Of course you can get ANY bread you like. But I recommend the sourdough. In fact, I'd recommend the "Perfect Blend" sandwich on sourdough with the works. All the selections here are top-shelf. The Reuben, the cheesesteak, the classic subs... they're all among the best you've had. Sure it's "just a sandwich" but a good "Sammie" is a real art. It's the right ration of meat to bread; the right condiments and toppings; the freshness, the flavor. Sandwich Masterz clicks alllll the boxes. To top it off, their fresh potato salad and macaroni salads are great additions to any sandwich. And whether you choose a cold sandwich or a hot one, you won't regret either. The inside is a bit small, I would say it's best to order and go. There are different sizes. I got the lunch size and it was bigger than I expected. I got the "it wasn't me" and it was delicious! Based on photos and other peoples reviews, I've had this sandwich shop in my places to try list on yelp for about two years. Finally I was in the area and I was not disappointed all sandwiches are served hot unless you specifically ask them to serve it cold you have two options of meat sizes the lunch, which is 4 ounces and the full, which is 8 ounces of meat the meat that's fresh, they weigh it out. The meat is supposay all natural-no nitrates which is great because a family member has kidney disease and must avoid nitrates. The bread is soft, service was great, cashier pleasant and patient and service was fast. a bonus for me is that they had cherry RC in their fountain sodas. I would definitely come back again. I grabbed a take-out menu to take home with me because they have so many items, it takes a while to stand there and figure out what you want to eat. I like that the owner or manager is there daily to explain how high quality their meats and ingredients are. I absolutely live their jalepeno meatball sub. My only complaint I would have is that the menu has way too much on it to the point it is almost intimidating to order. Maybe narrow it down and offer specials.
