fried chicken and a cup of coffee

Disgusting how this place thinks they can just take our money and then serve us food that we wouldn't even feed our dogs!! Chicken tenders was a fried ball of flour, the crispy schnitzel was not fresh at all! They are just becoming worse and worse. You would think with all these kosher places opening up they would be scared of competition and try feeding us FRESH FOOD! Since that's what we are paying for! Def my last time to this place

My friends "grilled chicken" wrap. Fries All breaded chicken smothered in sauce.

WOW...Clearly anyone who's ever eaten here and reviewed this place has no concern about health code violations whatsoever! IF YOU VALUE YOU HEALTH, STAY AWAY!!!!! And to those who wonder why I write this, here goes. Upon entering this place, you can see the place is poorly/never maintained. Chairs are ripped, table counters are filthy. Glass counter is covered in sauce droplets and all the food behind the glass is flaked on top of each other. I allowed a man to cut me while I pondered over the menu on the wall. The employee working behind the counter making sandwiches/Wraps had very poor knowledge of the food and the variety they write for the same exact piece of breaded chicken. Menu made no sense and a lot of the item were 86'd when asked about. So lets begin why this place needs to shut down tonight and forever. 1. There is No DOH food grading on the front door/entrance. I repeat... THERE IS NO SAFE FOOD INSPECTION GRADING! I looked up the establishment on the DOH website, it did not come up. This may only happen when a place is fairly new, which in this situation is not true since I came here once nearly a decade now. 2. The place is filthy and they take the food to the back to make it. They do start to prep it in front of you in a paper tray but then send it to the back to place it in the wrap/sub and add the protein. 3. The front guy did not change his gloves once since I entered the place. He used the same gloved to grab food, open doors, touch walls, touch the cash register, take money, give change, and go back to making more food. Hello Bacteria wonder wall topped with an extra serving of ebola virus. Nice touch. 4. The same guy I allowed to cut me in line to order had his hand behind the counter over the food pointing at what he wanted in his 4 subs. please, why don't you just grab it yourself and place it, why don't you. The employee said nothing and had this dumbfounded look. 5. My wrap came out soaked in sauce... I mean soaked! They placed the fillers in a little dish to be sent back and placed with the rest of the food is unacceptable. 6. The wrap I ordered was the Mexican, which on the menu is made with GRILLED CHICKEN, the chicken inside my wrap was breaded and fried. AGAIN, NOT GRILLED LIKE IT CLAIMS. It looked as if cooked last week and overly fried. it was darkened in certain areas and was ultra greasy. I think it may have dropped on the floor and stomped on at one point. I took one look and threw the rest out. 7. The employee proceeded to take my money with the gloved and use the cash register. No cleanliness station or sink in sight. When my friend asked him to change his gloves, he asked him what his nationality was because he sounded "smart." I ask everyone reading this to consider all that I wrote and take it into account that I am doing this trying to save a life from future fatal food poisoning. If you don't believe my word or the review I posted, check out the place for yourself. What I still cant figure out is how they avoided being instigated by the DOH. Im not sure if they paid off the inspector or claim they're not a food serving establishment, but that sign itself will tell you all you need to know. I usually make a funny remark at the end of most of my reviews, but I'm feeling sick to my stomach that places like this exist. Foolish Foolish Foolish. Owners Employees and Costumers.

Great Italian sodas, teas and desserts are in the fridges. It seems that most of their foods on their menu are homemade like their fig jam, cannolis, Bomboloni's, etc. I saw a sign for Affogato and I had to try. Absolutely delicious and their ice cream tastes homemade as well. Little chocolate bits inside topped it off nicely. The gentleman was very nice at the counter. So many delicious sandwiches to choose from on their menu, at one point I couldn't decide. I went with Il Fig. Prosciutto di Parma, double creamed brie with their homemade fig jam on a fresh baked bread. It's listed under Panini, but it was not a Panini. Decent price for the size. I can't wait to try the other sandwiches, I definitely will be back!

The owners are the real deal Italian, accents and all, and they remember your face. They carry just about every imported Italian product you could imagine: tomato sauces, seasonings, jams, pastas, cookies, chips, and all kinds of snacks. They have gluten-free versions of most items, too. The pistachio cream and lemon cream are must-buys. From the deli counter, I usually pick up fresh soppressata, provolone, mozzarella, ricotta, 'nduja, and other meats and cheeses to enjoy at home. They also stock fresh Italian bread every morning from Rose & Joe's Bakery in Astoria. Cipollina's espresso bar is excellent, too. I love their affogatos, and on weekends I can't resist the mini pistachio sfogliatelle. There's a small café-style seating area separate from the store to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastry.

The Fresh Meadows location is right by Kohl's with ample parking. The standout hospitality began the moment I walked in. An employee directed me to the counter and helped me place my order, explaining the menu items. Another friendly employee ( I think his name was Alex) noticed my large order and personally helped carry four trays of food to the table, setting the tone for a genuinely great visit. From the first bite, it's clear this is far from ordinary fast-casual fare--the chicken is juicy beneath a perfectly crisp, non-greasy coating, and the spice levels are seriously dialed in, whether you opt for a manageable Mild or decide to take on a real heat challenge. I love that the chicken rests on the white bread which absorbs all the delicious juices. The menu is thoughtfully simple, focusing on sliders, tenders, and satisfying sides, all served fresh and hot. All delicious. The kale coleslaw is a triumph. So are the pickles. I despise pickles, yet ill eat all the pickles at Dave's. They're so good! And don't even think about skipping the Oreo milkshake, thick, refreshing, and loaded with real cookie chunks, it's the ideal finale, especially if you've embraced the spice. For anyone in Queens craving authentic, high quality Nashville style fried chicken, this spot is absolutely worth a special trip. Highly recommended, and to top it all, IT'S HALAL!!! WHAT?!?!
