We saw a MAJOR improvement within a few days of our first session with Nate. A few weeks later, he returned for a 2nd session. We discussed what still needed improvement, he gave more specific suggestions, and I mean it when I tell you THEY WORKED! Our girl is now fine with people coming to our house, strangers approaching her to say hi, and she just seems so much happier overall! It has been over a year since our final session, and I will note it is important to stick to what Nate teaches you. We notice she regresses a bit if we are inconsistent (she's a routine-driven dog, so it makes perfect sense), but she catches back on when we realize what we stopped doing. We had maintained a nice foundation but felt it was appropriate based on a myriad of factors. We were placed with Emily and our experience was excellent. We knew Emily from many of our group trainings but had yet to do extensive one on one with her. Emily's approach is honest, consistent, soft (but firm) and very relatable. She was communicative in every way and made us feel safe. Given we had already done one camp we felt comfortable with the facility but each trainer brings their own nuance. Emily was clear and concise with each weekly update- she was really positive and had a ton of healthy feedback. Training is a huge investment of time and money.... Something we don't take lightly, but we have felt it was incredibly worth it both times. The continued support offered is 10/10, the communication is consistent and the general vibe is that everyone really wants to be there, including all the pups. Our dog has been home one full week, and we feel really good about the tools we've been given for continued success.

We live in Los Angeles, but turned to K-9 Activity club because Dolly has been happy there in the past. We wound up leaving Dolly for one more week that we originally planned; K-9 accommodated us, much to our relief. Staff showered Dolly with love and we received pictures of big-smile Dolly, sitting in the shade, in her "report cards." Dolly was even more fit and chill when we reunited. It is totally worth it for us to drive up from Los Angeles to Sebastopol to board Dolly among her K-9 family. Peace of mind is everything. A giant thank you to Alicia and K-9 staff! The staff are friendly, kind and communicate with report cards on their days- we also love the photos! The kennels have misters for warm days, they have a lot of space to roam, play and be dogs. Kona is always so happy to go here, cared for and the facility is so spotless- we are so happy we switched from another dog day care/boarding facility. Also for us, having staff on site 24/7 for overnight is a huge plus, many other facilities do not. We love this safety feature for our dog. Our dog has boarded here and played 8-9 times already and we know he is in good hands when we are away!

There's only one review that's recent in the past 4-5 years. The owner who lives in Seattle, is very nice. But lives in Seattle, not Napa. I feel like I may have to get a back up sitter only a few weeks from leaving. :(. Yup, really stressful!
