This was a great place to go to for breakfast. I loved how cute it was inside plus it is a family owned restaurant. They roast their own beans and their coffee smells amazing!! I had the Cuban Egg sandwich and that was delicious! I wanted to try something new and different and I'm glad I did. Went around 11 and was seated quite quickly. Staff were wonderful! Cute brunch spot in the heart of downtown dunedin. My dirty chai was a delicious treat on a chilly Florida morning. I split a quesadilla with my sister and it was enough food for both of us. I liked that they had a closed in balcony with heat so we could sit outside on a colder day. Will be back again to sit in their outdoor courtyard soon. read more

My husband and I have been visiting the Clearwater area, for vacation, for years now. The Sandpiper is one of our most favorite breakfast spots! Their outside dining area is too cute, and the food and coffee is always great. This morning when we stopped in, before heading to the airport, we found a table inside. It was a little too chilly outside, and we had our 9 month old with us. Our waiter was a younger guy who was super friendly and eager - he was working hard with a big smile on his face! I ordered a latte, that was delicious, until it got in arm's reach of my baby. He spilled it all over the floor which I felt terribly about. Our waiter came over instantly and happily began to clean up the spill. The owner was working this morning as well, and he joined in cleaning up the spill - both men were so kind. Our waiter then brought over a fresh latte for me, which I hadn't asked for. So sweet! We already loved the Sandpiper - but even more now! We will be back of course! read more

I lucked up on this gem by searching for breakfast near me. This is a great little café and gift shop and I am glad this lace popped up on my map! The food is delicious and I would recommend sitting outdoors as the inside has roughly enough seating for 15 people. Their coffee menu is delightful and offers everything from espresso to chai lattes. And yes, they have guest WiFi so bring your laptop and get some work done! I had the bacon egg and cheese croissant and my husband had the breakfast quesadilla. The portions were big enough but not oversized as to require leftovers. They have more traditional offerings as well if you are an American breakfast fan but also offer simple bagels and English muffins for light eaters. Service is very friendly and is enough to coax you right back another visit. If you are near, stop in for a quick bite or a coffee/tea break and refresh yourself. Don't get me wrong, you can certainly have enough food here to stuff yourself silly, but since everything is ale-carte you have the option of getting satisfied without the bloat. read more

Our server Julia was very rude to us when asking for a kids menu. We went there to enjoy our last meal before going home from vacation. We saw this place offered breakfast and lunch options and was only given a breakfast menu when others who were seated next to us was given a lunch menu. We brought our two dogs with us and they were not even offered a water bowl unlike another patrons who brought there dog and was offered a water bowl. We only only ordered a bagel, waffle, and a breakfast bowl which took a long time to come out of the kitchen and was mediocre to say the least. We vacation in Dunedin often and this was the first time we had ever had this kind of experience. Needless to say we will NEVER be coming back to this restaurant again. read more

Nice little breakfast/lunch cafe in Dunedin. Love that they roast their coffee in house. I had the cinnamon cappuccino. It was well balance & very tasty. Eriq insisted on us trying the pretzel bites since it was brunch time;) They came with mustard & cheese sauce for dipping and they were very solid. Entree wise I had the eggs Benedict with a citrus Hollandaise. Tasty and the hint of orange flavor was a nice change of pace. It doesn't come with home fries or anything more of an a la cart type menu which is good with me. Next time looking forward to trying their Nutella latte read more

I got the BMT bagel sandwich to go for breakfast. Maybe this particular item is a miss based on the overall rating for this place. The bagel was very soft and seemed like store-bought. The ingredients inside the sandwich were pretty bland too. It sufficed to hold me over but wasn't a tasty breakfast. Parking is limited in the back. read more

We were greeted by a young man who was very kind and polite. One staff worker was bothered for some reason that we were getting a to go order saying "does this look like the type of place to get to-go?" Under her breath. Even though the young man had given us the to-go option. Nonetheless, the restaurant was cute and if we had time we could have enjoyed dining in. Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious but the rude worker was the overarching factor of our experience here. We were never pressuring them to hurry or making a fuss over waiting, we simply looked around at their postcards and other items. read more

Cute place with great service. We sat outside. Reluctantly giving 4 stars due to the ham skillet I had having very little ham and it was tiny squares. Also very greasy at the bottom of the bowl. My wife's bagel sandwich was perfect though and coffee was great. We'll be back and potentially bump up to 5 stars. read more

I've been coming here for years, mainly because of the solid food, great coffee, friendly owners and cute indoor and outdoor seating. They have a good sized outdoor area out back, which is great for Covid, because it's never too crowded and everyone is spaced out nicely! My go-to is their breakfast Cuban, which is on a yummy croissant. It comes without a side, so if you're hungry I would maybe order a side or pastry. Their sandwiches are also very good and Iced coffee is solid! Prices are reasonable. read more

Adorable place with great service. Conveniently in the perfect section of Dunedin. We sat out on the porch on this cool day where there was a heater set up and it was perfectly comfortable. We had two dirty chai lattes, a side of potatoes and a BMT quesadilla, it was delicious! We weren't terribly hungry so we split a breakfast quesadilla which was perfect! My family of 3 was looking forward to trying out this cute spot for brunch so much so I convinced a hungry teen it would be worth the 20-30 minute wait. The staff called everyone in line accordingly. As everyone patiently waited our time had come and we were next up. The sever saw us in front of the others but called the party standing behind us to be seated. I told her that we were actually next in line and her reply strangely was "well, they have dogs." So I questioned why that mattered and replied, "well... I have hungry kids." She could only come up with that she is very busy and seemed flustered and irritable that I asked and said that she'll get us the next table up. I pressed again that we have been waiting much longer and thought she'd just tell the other folks she made a mistake and sit us instead. It was an odd encounter to say the least, mostly because she seemed annoyed that I questioned her at all. It was more important to argue with me than rectifying or being accommodating in any way. I was also surprised that the people waiting behind us just skipped ahead knowing we were next in line. It was apparent that we were ahead of them as they went in to put their name down and returned to stand behind us. If this had happened and I was called ahead of people who were clearly there first I would have told the server that they were next. If I had my dog with me would we have been seated and not skipped? Not sure, people make mistakes and I'm very understanding but the way this server handled it was in a nasty unprofessional manner. Once we were seated I asked the server if we could just put in our order since we were skipped over and already knew what we wanted. Her response was, no, sorry and that she is too busy but proceeded to take our drink order anyway. I've dined at many restaurants and putting in an order right away isn't a big deal. This entire experience was just bizarre. We watched the server interact with the other tables and she seemed personable enough but we were just ignored so I guess a mom with 2 kids using her voice to call her out was not to her liking. In the end...it wasn't so busy, the servers treated us poorly, my eggs were runny and cold, the service was subpar as I had to go inside for a refill of coffee. Surprisingly enough a man behind the counter was quite nice and accommodating and gladly refilled my coffee. Other than that, this was all in all not worth the money or time with my family. Should have left as soon as we were skipped. So much for giving the benefit of the doubt. read more

I came here with my boyfriend for brunch and it was such a good choice! We drove past it and it looked cute so we decided to go in. We both got chai lattes and they tasted amazing. He got the house quesadilla and said it was really yummy. I got the avocado tartine, and made it dairy free without the sour cream and I really liked it!! I highly recommend this place. So glad we stumbled upon this place! The food is so fresh, the restaurant is so clean, the service is super friendly and there's lots to look around at while you wait for your food. There is even a children's book about conquering fear that the owner wrote, and is on display. I read it to my kids and it helped pass the time. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you're coming to the area. I'm saving this place for sure, for next time! Thanks for making us feel so welcomed! See you next summer! read more

We were waited on right away. Not only were we waited on right away, but it was by TWO of the employees. They were super friendly. They talked to us the entire time and made us feel welcome and happy. They also allowed me to pour in my own heavy whipping cream so that I had the perfect amount. I ordered an Americana and my Husband ordered a Cafe Mocha. The coffee was cheap and tasted delicious. I had their equivalent of a large and it was around $3. My Husband loved his cafe mocha as well. I loved the decor. The bathroom was really cool too because they had a bookshelf full of books that they also sell. I thought that was a neat touch for a coffee house. We loved Cappuccino and will visit again when we are in Dunedin.

Definitely a great spot for a nicer dinner in downtown Dunedin!
