I love getting my dresses altered here. When I get my dresses back, they fit me soooo well!! Whenever I have something that needs fixing, I know exactly where to go. I'm so glad I found this place. This was an extremely disappointing experience. On a Saturday, I brought in one pair of pants to be tailored and was told it would be $25 and that it would be ready Wednesday. I decided to pick them up on Thursday but Jose, the owner not only asked for $20 more for a total of $45 but the pants were not even ready. This is a very WRONG way to treat a customer. I cannot recommend this business. In addition to poor service, I was treated very rudely by this establishment. Thankfully, I found another tailor who did a spectacular job and charged me $25. I've been to Joe's shop twice and my wife once. Each alteration was done quickly and correctly. Apparently, Joe has been working out of this storefront for several decades. If you're looking for a foo foo tailor, this isn't the place for you. But if you want a quality, old-school tailor, check him out. read more

I've been going to Sandoval's for a few years now after my two friends recommended it highly. I was happy from beginning and have never had any problems with quality, price or turnaround time. Mr. Sandoval does everything!!! Women's...Men's...Children's clothing. If you want custom made suits, blazers, slacks, etc, he has a wall of fabric to choose from and you too can have a custom item. I had a suit custom-made for me a few years ago (relevant, I swear). Over the years I've gained enough weight to make it no longer possible to wear this suit - but it was too nice to give away and tricky to sell a custom. As a last ditch effort I brought it by this shop. Because it's custom, there wasn't a lot of wiggle room with extra fabric to let the pants or jacket out and I knew that. And one look at me trying it on and he knew it as well. He undid a few stitches to see if it may be possible, thought it would be, quoted me a reasonable rate for how difficult the job was going to be (in my opinion). Amazing service! The owner tailored a suit (sleeves, shoulders, sides, closed the vent) as well as hemmed my pants and took in the legs in less than a day. The rush fee was like $10 dollars. What a bargain. Happy to support this small business. read more

I would not recommend this place. I came here after Mondial closed (so sad he was the best) and I brought my $60 shorts to get fixed at the waist because they were too big. I wanted them done in a few days so I could wear them for NYE. I came back to pick them up and it cost me $30, half the price of the shorts. And he LOST my belt that came with it. So I am sitting in the shop for 20 minutes, not even kidding, as they frantically search for my belt. Turns out it was in the dumpster in the back. So a few weeks later I need something else altered and decide I should give them another chance, bad idea. He sewed my strap on my romper backwards and didnt fix a tear in my dress that I had asked him to. I will not be coming back here. I need to find a new tailor...any suggestions?? read more

We brought in my husband's tuxedo jacket to have the sleeve fixed. There were two tears in the fabric and reweaving was needed. Today, my husband picked up the jacket and the repair was terrible. One of the holes was rewoven, the other had a patch sewn over it. The patch is quite visible - the edges show and the surface is bubbly. All of this cost us $100. I will not take another item to this place for repair. read more

Brought in suit pants with a broken zipper and a very expensive shirt with sleeves too long. On the sleeves of the shirt, he measured me very quickly. He quoted me $35 (which I thought was a little high) and said that the clothes would be ready in a week. A week later, I picked up the clothes. The zipper was fine, but the sleeves on the shirt were a little too short. I'd probably go back but I'd be very specific with lengths. read more

I DID NOT, Like his attitude I came in to get my suit tailoredfrom Prom, he wanted me to spend extra money on how I did not want my Suit, he wanted it his way, so he told me, " Your not going to like it if I do it like that." "Go somewhere else, I'm not going to do it like that, you can take it somewhere else." Thats what I did I went somewhere else and I liked my suit how it came out A LOT, in reality I think he thought I was just gonna say ok, just because I was young, he wanted me to spend 75$ & I only wanted to spend 45$ so he got mad. I feel like I SCORED! when I found Sandoval's Tailor Shop. Finally, somebody who knows what they are doing. Mr. Sandoval and his staff in my opinion are "artists" of their craft. I brought a suit in along with a shirt and he took his measurements and fixed it up to perfection. I used to just go to the dry cleaners that had an on board seamstress and it was always just "ok" or my garment was ruined. This experience was something different. He explained why he was doing this and that as he was taking measurements, asked me if I wanted the shirt "unpuffed" on the back, I didn't even know that was possible. When I got everything back I was so impressed and how well it fit. I get so many compliments when I wear my suit and I know it's because of how well it is fitted which has a lot to do with Mr. Sandoval and his crew. One person did mention though that my shoulders were a bit "puffy" where the padding was, it's not that bad but I decided to take it back to Sandoval's and ask him if there was anything that could be done about it. He explained the operation that would take place if he did so and gave me options and gave me his honest opinion which is what I value the most as I'm used to people just trying to upsell me on things. So, I left the jacket as it was instead of paying for what it would take to make the jacket shoulders ever so slightly less puffy and it looks just fine. I also recommended him to a couple of my friends and they were just as impressed.Thank you Mr. Sandoval for your honesty and great craft. You have a new customer for life. read more

For my first visit I had some baggy trousers made more modern by fitting closer to my body. Great. Second visit pants were not ready, but when complete fit great. In my third visit to hem some pants (same style and make as before) I was quoted the same price as in past visits, even though I was just getting the pants hemmed and not also tapered and taken in at the waist. During this visit I also wanted to take the seat out of a pair of another paid or slacks, but when I returned home with the pants I found that the pants had been shortened (as requested), but not widened at the waste. So the disenchantment had set in. However, what will prevent me from returning is the work on a suit I had worked on here. I asked for functional buttonholes, but when I arrived, the buttons were merely sewn on the sleeve. I asked that buttonholes be sewn and returned later to pick up the suit. When I got the suit a different tailor was there and told me he performed the work at his store. He only made three of the four button holes, and the inside of the sleeve was sewn at such a disastrous angle that there was a gap in the lining and the backside of the fabric was showing (thankfully, this is inside the sleeve, so no one will see it). The most frustrating part was that I was originally told that this work was going to be done by hand and so I was charged 50 dollars, but the guy who handed off the suite to me said he used a machine. The buttonholes look fine, but on closer inspection are very slightly crooked. read more
