I asked if she had time to hemmed two pairs of dress pants, how much it would cost, and what an ETA would be. I got two pants hemmed. 15 cash each. She got them done before my asked deadline. Kim has 40+ years of experience working as a tailor from her mom. Parking is a bit tough but just be on the look out. I needed to walk anyway. I'll start by saying that I was excited to give her a 5-star yelp review upon meeting her. She reminded me a lot of my mom, who does alterations from home, with decades of experience as a seamstress. Her reviews have been excellent, and I love to support small, local businesses. Unfortunately, when I received my new pants today, I was severely disappointed. I have had innumerable pieces of clothing altered since I was a kid, mostly by my mom, but also from other professionals. Seeing my pants today, I thought, "I have never seen such shoddy work in my life." These were a brand new pair of pants that were expected to last me for many years to come, as they are durable and made for rock climbing. I can no longer fully open my right back pocket and now have these asymmetrical vertical lines behind me. For some odd reason, she created two pleats in the waist, so when I wear these pants, I have two bulges pressing in to my lumbar area. Nearly all of my pants have been altered at the waist, and none of them have been altered in this manner before. And to top it all off, the pants are now too tight for me to wear. I took a chance with Kim, looking to support a local business. She charged me $15, which is more than I've ever been charged for a simple reduction in the waist, and the quality of the job was poor. Although I am pretty bummed with this result, I am glad others have had good experiences with her. I just can't recommend her to anyone. read more

Called Kim around noon & said she'll be able to do same day service if i dropped off my jumpsuit asap & pickup by 5pm, i arrived to her address & realized it was a family owned duplex. she then came out to open the gate for me. We then went in her home & she had me go change in her restroom to try on the jumpsuit, she then did her measurements . since all i needed was the pants hemmed she charged me a total of $25 due to the material of the jumpsuit. she does CASH ONLY. shes a retired sweet lady who tailors from home. parking can be abit tricky. i'll definitely be back read more

I was looking for a last minute alterations for a dress. Tried calling other shops and they were all booked for WEEKS until I found Kim and called her. I called to see if she was able to do same day alterations and she said yes! I took my dress in the morning and received it by 5pm I am very happy with her work. Of course, I waited until the last minute to find someone to get this done. Found her page on yelp, read the reviews, saw she lived super close by, took a risk and called at 7:45pm in a Sunday, got her on the phone immediately, dropped off the pants at 8pm, she called for me ready to pick up Tuesday morning. Yay! Couple things to note and be aware of: Pros - can call her day or night, she's always working - works out of her house. living room is a super spacious dressing room. Just be comfortable showing some skin - quick turnaround time - super friendly and sweet - very fair pricing Cons, but not really - parking is hard to find at night since it's all neighborhood street parking, daytime super easy to find parking. Wow. I found Kim off of yelp. I was a little hesitant at first to go to someone working out of their home, but I'm so glad I trusted the stellar reviews here. Kim did an excellent and very affordable job of tailoring my pants.
