Brought my (6) hats here for cleaning and when I picked them up, was so disappointed! My hats were out of their original shape, parts of the hats design/ fabric was either torn a bit and design peeling a bit. I was expecting it to be steam cleaned not put in a washer/ dryer. I was expecting professional results but it was the opposite. The lady wasn't even apologetic when she saw me upset about it. The hats were premium some costing over 40$ each and all went down the drain. I couldn't wear any of them after unless I wanted to look like a fool wearing bent hats and no accommodation offered for my unsatisfied service. Hell to the no! I'm not coming back. I have been looking for a promising alterations ever since I moved to LA. Finally I found a lady I could trust. She is very sweet and if you have any special recommendations for how you want your alterations done she will do just as you like. I got my knit black dress very simple hem for around $18 because I needed it to be done ASAP. She finished the alterations quick. I made sure to give her a tip because she did such a quick and wonderful job. Normally alterations take 3 to 5 business days depends on how heavy of a work week the alterations lady has. But if you do ask kindly to request same day service she might be able to help you out! They do have parking up front for a certain amount of time so you can drop off your alterations. Very modest little shop. The Asian lady here is super cute. I came in to get a few pairs of pants taken in at the waist and hemmed, as well as a dressy jumpsuit altered. $20/ea for waists, $10 hem, and $28 to fix the top of the jumpsuit (needed to be more fitted and shorten the sleeves). When i was explaining to her what i needed, she also gave her own input to get the best results-- i could tell she cared about how the end result was going to look rather than just giving me what i thought i wanted. Her seams are great! No loose threads, and i can't even tell where or how she took in the waists of my pants! I highly recommend her. Pro tip: CASH ONLY! read more

Great spot for alterations! As a vertically challenged individual, I frequent this place often since every single pair of pants I own has to be hemmed. Small, no frills shop run by a very nice lady who doesn't mince words. Cash only, and she'll tell you if something doesn't look right. She never tries to up sell and if something isn't going to be worth the cost of alterations, she wont hesitate to tell you. She does great work, very professional looking quality work. Prices are reasonable, she does the 'original jeans hem' for like $10, more detailed stuff ranges to like $30-ish. One note, she gets very busy. Lost one star because stuff is rarely done when she says it's going to be done. I like this place, so I just build that in to my time frame. If I know I need it in 2 weeks, I tell her I need it in 2 days, show up in 4 days and it's done. I like this place better than the dry cleaner next door that does alterations too, prices are better and I feel like it's better quality work. Neater seams, etc. read more

I brought in a dress I needed to get hemmed. You'd think that'd be pretty simple right? She did such a terrible job on it, all she did was fold over the excess material and stitched it up so you could see the stitching on the outside of the dress too and just made the bottom all bulky and stiff. The stitching on the inside was also the messiest job I've ever seen. She would not give me a quote when I dropped it off. Ended up charging me $70!!! Half the price of the dress itself, so not worth the work she did. Definitely not coming back. Would not recommend her for any dress alterations. read more

The woman that works here is a shiny beacon of hope as far as seamstresses go. Here's my story: I had bought a cheap dress last minute because my fiancé and I decided to get married quickly at a courthouse instead of having a big wedding. The dress, however, fit very poorly on top so I took it to a dry cleaner nearby my house to have it fixed. IT WAS A DISASTER! the dress was dirty and there was a NEW hole in it and it still didn't fit; with my wedding only 4 days away i was panicking. my fiancé jumped on yelp and found European Tailoring. The location is small and when i first walked in I wasn't 100% confident that i wanted to leave my dress here. The shop is dirty looking and small. The woman was a little pushy and hard to understand but she kept telling me that she was a professional and that i was safe in her hands. i wanted so badly to trust her, so i just went with it. The alterations cost me more than i would have paid at any old dry cleaner, but less than if i had taken it to, say, nordstrom to have it altered ($40) but i needed the dress right away and the fabric was very thin and hard to work with. IT WAS WORTH IT, EVERY PENNY! I dropped the dress off on Saturday, she had it back to me on Monday and it was perfect! i couldn't see the hole or any of the mistakes that the last place had made. not only that, SHE CLEANED IT AND PRESSED IT FOR ME! (this is just an alterations place, and not a dry cleaner/seamstress combo, so i was amazed) and she was so sweet. I promised her I would use her from now on and send all of my friends to her, and i plan to because i am so pleased with the work she did. I can't believe this. My husband brought his suit jacket here for alterations He was to pick it up this morning at 8:30 am for a big important wedding we have today at noon. We are standing in front of the door and there is sign saying I'll be back this afternoon !! What ! Now what are we supposed to do ! Brought a couple of slacks here to be taken in. The process was simple, I fitted them, the lady measured and noted where to adjust, and she told me when to come back. When I returned, the pants were great! They were taken in exactly how we decided, the only problem being I lost enough weight to have to get them seamed in again a week later. This tailor lady at this place is great. I only had two weeks until my wedding and my dress didn't fit like the people at David's bridal said it would. So I searched for a local tailor and found this one. She measured me and told me to trust her and at that point I had no choice so I left her with my wedding dress. She had it ready 3 days before the wedding, it fit perfectly and only cost me $55, less than half the price I would have paid for a tailor at David's bridal who I already didn't trust.
