Oops. I read online that some of the cheaper services leave chemical smells on clothing, yuck. I didn't want that smell in my closet so I decided to go ahead and pay a little more at LaMode. Plus it's on my way to work! The lady that was working this morning was really friendly, and had me fill out a short form since this was my first visit. She mentioned that I could drop my items off any time before 9am and they would be available for pickup by 3pm the same day - score! I returned after work and a different, but equally friendly, lady retrieved my items. She handed me a coupon for 20% off my next order for trying them out, yay! My husband's pants turned out great, and the service was great so I didn't mind paying $5.70 a pair. We will definitely be using them again!

When I asked if there were any notes made on my drop off specifically referencing the small stain for which I brought the jacket in, I was told that they didn't know and weren't sure. This response was highly unprofessional. I don't want to come back after 5 PM or even tomorrow (2 days later) and not have this problem taken care of. That's the reason I brought it in. This was terrible service especially considering that the motto of Yale Cleaners is "Same Day Dry-Clean" service and "In by 12, out by 5." Well, apparently not. I am very disappointed and will be taking my dry cleaning business elsewhere as well as telling others that I know to avoid using Yale Cleaners for their dry cleaning and other needs. Unprofessional and unnacceptable. 09/23/2015 (Follow-Up Call & Meeting) After having an initial unpleasant experience with the service at this location, I received a prompt phone call from the manager named Loraine (not sure of the spelling?). On my voicemail she apologized profusely for the unsatisfactory customer service I had recieved and asked me to ask for her when I picked up my suit jacket that I had brought in earlier to have dry cleaned. Upon arriving to pick up my belongings, I spoke to Loraine and she explained Yale Cleaners' commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. She was very polite, cordial and apologetic. She was also very understanding and professional in my interaction with her, which I greatly appreciate. I was quite impressed with her kind demeanor and professional attitude in addressing my complaint(s). I had brought in my suit jacket to have it dry cleaned and to have a food stain removed from the right collar lapel. When I picked up my jacket, the stain was noticeably faded but still visible. Loraine then offered to have it redone and dry cleaned instead of only spot-cleaned and took care of the price I was charged for the service! She also explained that they do not guarantee that they will be able to remove a stain but that they will certainly try their best to do so without damaging the fabric. She generously waived the charge for the service as an extended apology for my earlier experience with other staff members at this location. Once again, I was highly impressed with her and after thoughtful consideration I have decided to give Yale Cleaners another chance to earn my business. I was also contacted by the President of Yale Cleaners here on Yelp where I had left a review of my experience. He was also very professional in his response, and as a result, I am modifying my review to reflect the welcome change in how I was treated as a customer. Both Loraine and John made me feel like a valued customer and for that, I am very appreciative. Thank you to Yale Cleaners and its professional and understanding management. They certainly know how to appropriately handle a problem and resolve it in a timely manner.

I originally received my son's navy suit back, but it was still dirty -- wrinkled and stained -- so I returned it to be properly cleaned. After that, the entire suit went missing. About a week later, they "found" the jacket... but the pants are STILL missing. I was told they believe they may have given the pants to another customer. Let that sink in. On top of that, my father's grey plaid suit is also missing, and I was given someone else's black pants instead. I even returned those pants since they are not ours. What's worse, an employee initially acknowledged that my son's navy pants were missing, but then they completely backtracked and claimed their system shows everything was picked up -- which is simply not true. I made every effort to resolve this the right way, but instead of accountability, I was dismissed and offered a refund for items that ARE NOT EVEN MINE. I NEVER asked for a refund -- I want my clothing returned. I was also told to "come back next week" because they *think* they gave my items to someone else. That is beyond unacceptable. I am now missing multiple garments, including sentimental and expensive items, with no real resolution and no accountability. Save yourself the time, money, and stress -- take your clothes somewhere else. This place is careless, disorganized, and does not take responsibility when they lose your belongings.
