I came to Brookside Laundromat for my very first laundromat experience ever. My washer and dryer gave up the ghost, and with Christmas being 2 days away, I didn't have time to get a new set, but needed to get laundry done! The facility was clean, however, very dated. There was carpet from the 90's that was well-loved and tattered. The machines cleaned well and the dryers were hot. Everything was clean and sanitized, which I liked. I went early in the morning, so it wasn't very busy! The attendant on duty was friendly and was consistently making sure everything was working as it should and sanitizing. The restroom was well stocked and tidy. They do have an ATM and a bill changer, but the machines only take quarters, so no cash cards here! They also offer drop off/pick up laundry services which I thought was neat! Overall a clean and quiet atmosphere, which I appreciate. If I ever am in a situation to where I need to use a laundromat, I will most-likely come back here. read more

Tonight I was henpecked by Moa, the woman who runs this place, the Entire time I was there. I finally figured it out. She wanted to leave. I was there during business hours and she was nasty towards me from the moment I said hi to her. I will NEVER return. I didn't even fold my laundry. I just left with it still damp. She was in a nasty mood and she kept aiming it at me. There was another person there and she did not bother him whatsoever. She admitted she was "no good" at the end of the day when I asked if I had come at a bad time or on the wrong day... yet she kept making loud and mean comments to me. It was ridiculously rude. We moved to town about 6 weeks ago and we are staying in an Airbnb that has the tiniest washer and dryer ever. So decided to splurge and use drop off service until our home is ready. The ladies do a fantastic job ...I have been dropping off my clothes in the AM on Saturday and Sunday run my errands and they text me when it's ready a few hours later. So, I come here every now and then when I have loads of laundry to do and need them finished in a timely manner. I come here because it is close to my apartment... Ok Ok. That is not entirely true. I like to come to this one because the attendants are always super nice and in a great mood. You can see it in the other people like me that need their duds clean. The only reason that I did not make this five stars is because it is ALWAYS very warm in here and an outlet did not work (for charging my phone/ laptop) but it is always clean and well maintained. I don't normally have my laundry done by others but I've been so busy lately and we used to take my old friend laundry here recently passed away. They did a nice job for him and hung all his shirts. The price was not that much so I thought I'd give it a chance for me. Took over about the same amount as we did with my friend but instead of the 30 something charge like they had for him, they charged me over 70 dollars!! Oh and nothing was on hangers either. Just crammed into a bag. I asked why so much and they said they was about to raise thier prices too?? No receipt with price, and they only take cash? No matter what day I go here, they are always busy. However, the machines work great and the dryers are always hot. The place is clean and they always even keep the bathroom tidy. The staff is friendly and more than willing to give a quick hand or friendly chat. Parking is a bit on the slim side, many people try to use their lot for restaurants nearby. read more

When I called to rectify the situation they said they would only give me 25% back...the linens are creased and wrinkled and came back with a couple stains. We started our wash before last wash and tried our best to finish before close. The last person beside us left after close and the second they were gone we were told by the attendant to wrap it up despite still having wet clothes in the dryer and he turned off the fan pointed at us to make us uncomfortable. The attendant stood close by watching us the entire time and each time a dryer stopped, he would tell us to go check the dryer despite other dryers still going. I understand being closed but treating a handicapped and wheelchair bound customer like they weren't already doing their best to get out is horrible service. We left with wet clothes. We won't come back. There are two women who work there besides him that do not do this. We are adults and know to hurry when it's time to leave. Don't worry dude, we left for good. read more

This place has very helpful and kind staff, plenty of machine options and not pricey. There is also free wifi which is very nice. They close at 8 but last time I was there I was running behind and they let me stay till almost 9 so I could get my clothes dry. I was so thankful since I was going home to pack them in a suitcase and certainly didn't want them damp. They also do drop off laundry. And they do it really fast. You can drop it off mid morning and pick it up mid afternoon. Unbelievable. And the best prices in town for the service. read more

I've been doing my laundry here off and on for several years, and I've never had anyone pull my laundry out of a washer or dryer like some of the other reviewers have mentioned. I always set a timer for a couple minutes before my load is finished to make sure I'm being courteous to other customers using the laundromat that need the machine. For any of the reviewers that have had their laundry removed from machines, I suggest you do the same. I go here because it is clean, has a friendly staff, and is in a nice part of town where I can walk my dog during the wash and dry cycles. It is really hot inside though, and I was dripping sweat while folding my laundry. The wi-fi was great. read more

As far as laundromats go, I've been to quite a few in town and this is the best one by far. I've never had issues with having my laundry removed while unattended. The only time I've seen that happen was on days when it is incredibly busy and people are waiting to use machines. Don't like having stuff removed for you by staff? Time your loads! It's how I have time to get a coffee up the block and get back just in time to pop my clothes in the drier and enjoy a book outside. This place is clean, the machines always work, and it is owned and operated by a wonderful family. Definitely a place where you can feel comfortable putting a load in the wash and walking around Brookside while you wait. read more

Fortunately I have not needed to use a laundromat mat very often. When I have use them it hasn't been a great experience. This is the exception. It is super clean very friendly help. If you leave your clothes unattended for even a minute when the cycle is finished they will take your clothes out for you and dump it in a basket. I hate sitting inside while I wait so I usually time it amd sit in my car while the cycle finishes. More than once I am 1-2 mintes late in going in and I find my clothes thrown into a rolling basket. If you don't mind someone touching all your clean clothes because they couldn't wait a few minutes for you to arrive, this is the place for you. read more
