While at the…read morebeach we were people watching from our balcony and I searched for electric bikes and we found this place!! We were staying close to 8th street and it took us about 10mins to drive to rent the electric bikes. The staff there are super friendly it was very easy to rent the bike online and you have to have everyone sign a way waiver during purchasing the bike online. Once you get to the place they were super fast and we were on our way with fully charged electric bikes and $49.00 a day FANTASTIC! We never even had to charge our bikes the battery life they gave us to them with was the same on returning them!! Only con is I wish they were closer to the oceanfront but they rent 6 seater & 8 seater golf carts and they deliver those and they have moke's it's actually a nice place to look around in as well! I'll recommend this place and renting electric bikes from them to everyone I know! Great to have fast good service!!

Luckily I brought a print out of my receipt and they had to re-enter all my information. I was told that they require the rental to be returned on Friday and they could come by and pick them up from our condo but it had to be before 5 when they required them returned. Made the last day there a little short when we had to shut down by 4pm. They brought out the chairs and umbrella to put in my vehicle and they were covered in sand. They were all in fairly good condition considering it was the end of the season. So day one I end up with a load of sand in the car. I called Friday morning to arrange the pickup and was told I would have to bring them back. Though not a big deal, it cut our last day shorter and not what they said they would do. When I did take them back right at 4 pm I discovered why. They were holding a sale of all their chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, etc from that season. There was no where to even pull in and drop them off. All the employees were running around selling crap and it took five minutes to get someone to even talk to me. He told me to drive around back and drop them off at the storage building. Once I finally was able to maneuver to the back, there was no one there to help me. I was now stuck back there as other cars had pulled back there. I walked back to the front and again had to wait to talk to someone. This guy told me to grab my stuff and just stack it up front. I said I needed to make sure I got credit for returning everything, he asked for my name and said he would make sure it was marked off. He asked my name and said he's got it. I went back, carried it all to the front without any help and dumped it by the front steps. I found the guy and as we were standing out front in the chaos I asked him if he has me covered, he said yes and when I asked him my name he had no idea. Went in the store and there were lines at all the registers 3-4 deep all purchasing the end of season crap. When I finally got to a register, I told the woman that my stuff was sitting on the ground out front and I needed a receipt that I returned it all. She typed around in the computer and of course couldn't find me again. She finally found my rental from my phone number and said I was good to go. I told her I needed a printed receipt and she asked why. Ridiculous customer service! All they cared about that day was making a buck. Will never use them again.

Umm.. NOoooo.... we took time out today to go to the beach- doing it on Sunday is OUT OF THE QUESTION! and the coupon expires next weekend... Our options: either come tomorrow or use the hobiecat coupon before it expires OR get two sunfish sailboats (but 2 people most know how to sail which we don't have) (WHAT?!)- so I say- "we'll decide when we get there" The option then was - "Give them whatever we want" according to the owner, Mia. So the manager, Pam- proceeds to tell us about the standup paddle boards, the kayaks or the cycle bike - we can use any of those- or we could take a few out then come back in and take out something else- VERY ACCOMMODATING sounding- so we say, Okay let's try that! The 4 boys go out on two SUPs and a 2-person cycle bike for 20 min- come back in and say, "eh... can we try the kayaks instead?" --- "NO"~ was the answer from Pam, THE manager, to the boys. I go over and say, "well- we are not happy with the SUPS and the cycle bike- we'd like to find out about using the hobiecat instead... " Pam tells me- "Well, we'll have to charge you for using the SUPS and the cycle bike!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??! - it's NOT our fault the hobiecat that we originally signed up for is not available- and I was under the impression from the owner that we could have whatever we want! So we went with that- we just wanted to try some kayaks instead- it's not like we are wasting their gas! -Pam, the manager get's quite testy with me- which of course, just sets me off and I tell her to have the owner call me about it. So 20 minutes instead of 4 hours- I feel we aren't compensated for a coupon THEY offered. We leave the beach not a half hour later - passing right by the Happy Winds stand- and nobody has bothered to make sure we are happy at Happy Winds... disappointing to say the least. SO... 7:30 at night- I call Happy Winds- get a message and hung up thinking I'll call during the day. Then Mia, the owner calls back. I asked her if her manager, Pam, told her to call me? "No... and so I explained all of the above. She proceeds to tell me- "There's no reason to be upset over this- it's JUST a hobiecat, Ma'am" (WHAT?! Did she just condescend to me?) --- "Pam had a really bad day today-somebody hit & run her car" (AND THIS IS MY PROBLEM?! WHY DO I NEED TO HEAR THIS??) Peaceful water, wildlife all around, and those crazy good sunset colors. I brought a little mini speaker to play some low music while we floated and it was such a vibe. Ocean Rentals does way more than just tours. They rent out beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, surfboards, paddle boards, even golf carts and linens if you're staying in a beach house. Basically, they've got everything you'd need for a trip to Sandbridge or VB. After the tour we stayed for dinner at Blue Pete's, which was the perfect way to end the night. Great food and drinks. Note that the dinner is not included in the kayak tour! If you're looking for something memorable to do in the area, I can't recommend the sunset kayak tour enough.
