Every positive visit to Trek has been learning about inventory and exploring bikes and merchandise at our leisure with no sales pressure, whereas the "neighboring store," told my four year old to "get off of that bike," and those jerks lost 3 sales unbeknownst to them. I went up to cashier and said "we want to buy a bike can you help us" he says no but he could talk about the bikes. The salesperson heard us but said nothing to us. I am very handy so I thought I would do my own service. when I flattened a tire I called to him get one. Then asked what he would charge. He barely charged more than I could get a good tire for. Then I asked about a tune up. it was so reasonable I took both bikes up and had him tune both. When we got them back they were perfect. I will never go anywhere else and I dont worry about getting the old girl dirty and funky with dave to keep the mechanics straight. We were staying close to 8th street and it took us about 10mins to drive to rent the electric bikes. The staff there are super friendly it was very easy to rent the bike online and you have to have everyone sign a way waiver during purchasing the bike online. Once you get to the place they were super fast and we were on our way with fully charged electric bikes and $49.00 a day FANTASTIC! We never even had to charge our bikes the battery life they gave us to them with was the same on returning them!! Only con is I wish they were closer to the oceanfront but they rent 6 seater & 8 seater golf carts and they deliver those and they have moke's it's actually a nice place to look around in as well! Owner of the store, pops, hilariously remakes, "Who dares call you on vacation?!" So I was looking to rent a tandem family bike for 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). While Cherie's are all over up and down the boardwalk, the one closest to the Neptune statue only had BROKEN bikes (aka surreys). A quick walk a block inland and I found this joint. They totally had what I was looking for - at the same price of $40 an hr but literally threw in 2 extra hours for free! So I got 1/3 price! We biked ALL the way from 33rd st to 5th st in the BLAZING summer sun. But it was a super fun ride w the kiddos. We were singing and hollering to keep the rhythm (much like dragonboat rowers). We grabbed lunch at Waterman's (very good!) which is why we needed the extra time. Plus the fact that we didn't go w Cherie's helped bc our surrey was green whereas everyone else's was red. That made it easier for us to keep an eye on it while we are. Totally recommend mom and pop at Ocean Waves!
