I use a cane because of a bad back. Right when I came in the door, the waitress seating me asked me if I needed help. I told her "No thanks. I'm fine." (Pretty clear answer, right?) She then asked me again. I said, "No thank you." (How annoying asking me again when I said no already.) It gets worse. SHE ASKS ME A 3RD TIME, ADDING "Are you sure you don't need help?" Holy crap! This gal just won't listen! I should have left right then. I didn't. Once at the table, I ordered a full meal and she asked, "Is that all you want?" (I ordered a full enchilada dinner with some cheese dip on the side. That's enough.) Several times during dinner she came by and asked if I needed anything. That's fine. But when I was finished, I had about half the cheese dip remaining. I asked her for a to-go cup to bring the remaining dip home. All of a sudden she comes out with a new to-go order of cheese dip. I told her no. I didn't order an additional serving. I just wanted the dip remaining from my dinner. It took a person from the kitchen and the man managing the front to explain to her that I didn't want a new order! Then she gives me the bill. The extra dip was charged on my bill! I told them I wasn't paying for something I didn't order. They corrected the bill. It gets even worse. She comes with the revised bill and then stands over my shoulder while I'm filling in the gratuity. Believe me, at this point I wasn't very grateful. I usually tip 20-30%, but I was being generous with a 15% tip. She deserved about 5%. I believe S. might become a good server some day 2-3 years down the road. She's too young and obviously not trained at all. They just let her loose on the floor and she's really a terrible server right now. I've been a fairly regular visitor to Mi Mexico, stopping by 1-2 times a month. But it will be quite a while before I return, good food or not. Quality service is just as important.

They check on us now and then letting us know how long the food will take since they are short on staff and have a couple of large parties before us. We ordered their full rib in dry and the sweet potato brisket waffles. The reason why I don't give them a 5 stars is because their meat seems to be a bit too dry. The brisket on my waffle have to add a lot of maples in order to make them moisture, the good thing about the meal is the meat portion are very generous and flavorful. The town itself is very interesting as well so hope sometime in future I'll get to visit again
